  1. Forfot to ask, is Aja Naomi King pregnant in real life? She didnt look in the face, but her clothes and scene blocking screamed 'hiding IRL pregnancy'. Forfot to ask, is Aja Naomi King pregnant in real life? She didnt look in the face, but her clothes and scene blocking screamed 'hiding IRL pregnancy'. Also, I didnt think that other actress looked anything like King. Not even a little bit. Completely different hair, body type, facial features, hue . . .
  2. Nice to see L. Scott Caldwell as Annalise's cellmate. I loved her as Rose on Lost. Connor was heartbreaking. I can't decide if Oliver is a balless bitch, or shady as fuck. His reluctance to go to the police and non-reaction/insta "forgiveness" of Connor was very suspect.
  3. All they've established is that Randall & Beth met in college when Beth was a bohemian that didnt want kids, and Randall "ruined" that for her.
  4. I think Susan and the writers have done an excellent in establishing and showing Beth's personality with minimal screentime. And while she has a strong personality, ai dont think she's domineering at all.
  5. Beth to herself: "I've got a hot minute for some yogurt".
  6. Okay then Jami's husband's company.
  7. I think the folks that accuse this show of trying to emotionally manipulative are 100% correct, but for me it's also carthatic. I lost a truly perfect parent when I was relatively young and it left with deep emotional scars just like Kate. So when Kate unleashes a prim scream as I have many times, it hits me in a really deep place. I suspect that maybe Jack's death was a result of a workplace accident that Kevin & Randall blame on Miguel but that truly isnt his fault. They need to explain where Kate & Toby are living and what they are doing for money. Even a throaway line that Kate is working for Jami Gertz's NY office.
  8. Solid episode. I can't to see The Calvary come to the rescue and then kick Radcliffe's ass so hard on lands on CBS. I'll be surprised if Nadeer's boss isn't someone we've seen before.
  9. I loved Beth taking a "hot minute for some yogurt", but can they please give her more than two lines per episode, or even better an actual storyline?!? Jack's ass looked damn good in those jeans. I really likes FatCampHorseTrainerGuy. I dont think he came across as creepy or pushy. I think he had a certain swagger/confidence that the writers think Toby does but definitely does not. I also saw more chemistry between Chrissy and that actor then I've ever seen between Chrissy & Chris. Speaking of Toby, he was extremely obnoxious with Kevin. When he was blatering on about Hugh Grant, I was hoping a huge gust of wind would blow him off that balcony. Even if Kevin's Sophie is the same girl who wrote the piggie note to Kate, I dont think it's fair to judge someone by something they did when they were in elementary school. Actually, if she had tortured a dog, I would condemn her; but all she did was write a mean note. Lastly, I loved Kate's primal scream as she remembered Jack's funeral. I now feel validated for all the primal screams I've let out the past few years.
  10. Apparantly there are conflicting stories on this. I believe one of Hayes' son's who is not a $cieno came out later and said his father had suffered a stroke almost simulteanous to that episode being produced, and that someone who was not authorized to act on his behalf of his father quit the show. My opinion is that Matt & Trey later believe(d) this version of events and did that episode where Chef returns brainwashed by the Superadventure Club and then killed and ressurected by them as "evidence" of this. And frankly I thought multiple characters referring to The Superadventure Club as "that fruity little club" was almost more bitting than the stuff in the Tom Cruise ep.
  11. I didnt like this episode on the whole, but that line and the way Marsai deadpaned it had me howling. Somehow the kids have had a summer break, the election, Thanksgiving, and Christmas have passed, and yet Bow is barely pregnant. If we're generous and say the kids didnt get out of school until June, its still been six going into seven months. Whatever, its a tv show. Rachel Green was pregant for a full season on Friends. So i'm not going to fault the writers on this.
  12. You mis-read my post. Les Moonves has his people that he believes are stars, and that has nothing to do with race/gender/whatever. For example, LL Cool J of NCIS LA, and Kristin Vangness (sp) of Criminal Minds are 'Moonves people' and are both afforded opportunities that their co-stars are not. Additionally, while CBS hasn't done a thing to try and retain other Criminal Minds, for example, stars, if and/or when Vangness (sp) explored leaving you bet your ass CBS would move heaven and earth to get her to stay; same with LL Cool J re NCIS LA. Speaking to Person of Interest, Sarah Shahi was a 'Moonves person' and as such was treated as an equal to Jim Cavaziel and Michael Emerson.
  13. Re: Shield vs. Once, Shield is doing well on MyNetworkTV, internationally, on dvr, second screen, has merchandising, and keeps Marvel on broadcast tv weekly. ABC doesnt need Once to keep the disney characters on weekly or sell the merchandise. It also never got a syndication or off-network deal, and dvr #'s are not good anymore. @sharky, Libby & Malcolm has been officially picked up.
  14. That said, and again my understanding, is that Miscavige and other's reaction/response to her off-handed question escalated it to a 'now l'm asking (again) because your pissing me off'.
  15. Given the spoiler about Jack's death unfolding over the flashbacks in season 2, I think it's going to be an illness. Or Jack will be severly injured trying to save Shelly and her kids, and Jack will slowly succumb to those injuries. Either way, I think NBC and the produces will ring every last drop they possibly can out of it, with the show getting the subtitle "Jack's farewell" for weeks.
  16. My understanding is that "where's Shelly?" was an off-handed comment because Leah thought it was odd that the leader's wife/one of the top brass wasnt at Crui$e'$ wedding.
  17. I was setting my dvr for the week and my cableguide has the show airing at 10 this coming week.
  18. This is getting very off-topic but it was CBS that made the call to not have Taraji on that cover and CBS which grossly underestimated how important Taraji and her character were to the shows' at-the-time success. The show was never the same in the ratings after they killed Det. Carter. That said, I dont think her exclusion had anything to do with race or gender and everything to do with Les Mooves having his people that he thinks are stars and promoting those people. I despise PC, diversity, and this whole idea of people needing to see themselves on screen. I look nothing like Beth yet I see myself in her. This focus on melanin, gender, and orientation by social justice warriors is ruining society.
  19. I greq up in Miami, and in I believe 6th grade in 1994 we took an overnight field trip to Epcot and once we got there we literally ran wild as the chaperones sat in the air conditioned tech area. My friends and I even took the monorail over to Magic Kingdom for a few hours and the chaperones had no friggin clue. But beyond that, my friends and I generally ran wild in the neighborhood with the only directive being be home by dinner. And then in the summer we'd go out and ran around after dinner well into the night. Contrast that with my younger brother who was only born 4 years later in 1986 and when we talk about our childhoods, you'd think we were 24 years apart instead of 4. All that said, my older brother (by almost 4 years) was also a run wild/latch key kid, and he and I are very succesful adults whereas our younger brother who was helicoptered is a total fuck up.
  20. That panda looked like something an intern picked up at Toys-R-Us. I know they cant use a real panda and probably dont have the budget for a good cgi, but geeze it was so obviously a stuffed animal. FireDoc and Halstead have way more chemistry together than either has with Manning. Looks like Maggie is already back to her two lines per episode.
  21. The captions on all of Jessica & Connie's conversations throughout the series have been great.
  22. It will be interesting to see at what point in the timeline they switch out the 1995 actors for Sterling, Justin, and Chrissy. I think those '95 actors could aged up quite a dew years from the 15 yr olds they were playing in that episode, and Sterling, Justin, and Chrissy, but moreso Sterling, can be aged down quite a few years too if they use wigs, make-up, and clever lighting.
  23. Those sound awful. But it's important to remember that these are only ordered pilots; they havent been picked up/ordered to series. Only dramas Inhumans, untitled Kyra Sedgewick, and untitled Reba, and comedy Libby & Malcolm have actually been ordered to series.
  24. As a bi-bro, I think this shit, and I do mean shit, about 'auditing the gay out' is the most disgusting thing i've learned about $cientology. I had to pause my dvr because I laughed for a solid three minutes. Be careful . . . they're tactics will result in some true hilarity. Last week I posted something about Miscavige on Insta, and the next morning someone had posted crazy comments on every picture going back almost two years. I've found out since that this person is a work acquaintance of my S.O. who I've never actually met. Why she was following me on Insta is a mystery. Anyway, she has been saying some increasingly batshitcrazy about me and my S.O. but lucikly everyone knows she is batshit. And all I did was post a meme about Miscavige.
  25. Hopefully they'll establish when the funeral takes place. All we know thus is that Jack died sometime between October-ish 1995 and the AFC Championship game circa the third Sunday in January 2006.
