  1. Thank you for this. It seems to me that my immediate peers, which I would put two years on either side me so those born from 1980 to 84, are the lost generation in more ways that one. My older brother is definitely a Gen X'er and my younger brother is the epitome of a millennial. But I definitely dont fit in either group.
  2. Noah Galvin has a great singing voice, but I just can't with Kenny. When Brett asked him to go to the Sia concert as his boyfriend, I actually said outloud "seriously? Why?!?".
  3. I was born in '82 and hate being called a millennial. I read a really interesting paper about a year ago discussing what defines a "decade" and a "generation" and the author's conclusions includes that those generations should be defined by a 'decade' but that what people think of "the 1980's" for instance was actually 1982 to 1992, and "the 1990's" was 1993 to 2005 as defined by culture, technology, major events, etc,.
  4. Channing Dungey was very enthusiastic about the show during last week's TCA's. Also, it's apparantly doing well in off-network syndication on MyNetworkTV.
  5. Last week I suspected but now I am sure that Aida is playing Radcliffe. Simmons pretending to get ready to torture that HYDRA guy was perfect. It's uncanny that in the same season Simmons has come into her own, Fitz is being ruined with his obsession with Aida.
  6. I want a "filler" episode of Beth visiting her family. Dr. K talking to wife and then packing her stuff had me crying crocodile tears. I'm already rooting for horse trainer guy. Anything to get her away from king douche.
  7. This! It's like those PF Changs meals you can buy in the frozen food section of the grocery store . . . despite the commercial and the picture on the bag, my PF Changs in a bag sure as hell doesnt look or taste like it does at the restaurant.
  8. Heh, I didnt watch the episode until yesterday but all the talk in this thread made me crave Friendly's. Growing up there were three that I knew of in town, but they all closed years ago. It looks like the nearest one is a little over 2 hours away from my house. I may be taking a road trip tomorrow.
  9. I think we're getting an episode mostly focusing on side characters because each episode is taking a long time to produce (12 days as opposed to the usual 8), and despite the shorter episode order NBC wants to air all 18 by the end of Feb.
  10. The world would be a much better place if TMZ and their ilk all vanished off the face of the earth. Whatever procedure Metz had or didnt have, that is her business.
  11. This perfectly sums up my feelings on Toby. I wanted the nurse to literally rip out his catheter just to get him to shut the fuck up. Sure he'd be screaming out in pain but at least he wouldn't be talking. Between Toby and Olivia being alive, and Beth only having two lines, I really didnt like this episode.
  12. I'm going to take a page from Leah's playbook and encourage everyone to Google "Bonnie Burstow", "radical feminist theory", and "prison abolishionst" for yourselves. I'm personally horrified. But seriously, research and judge foe yourselves.
  13. Don't forget, ABC has already picked up 2.5 hrs of new programming for fall. Based on everything I've heard and my own gut feeling, here is what I think ABC would do if they announced the fall schedule today: Mon: Kyra Sedgewick/Designated Survivor/Reba Tue: Middle/Housewife/Blackish/Libby&Malcolm/Marvel Wed: Goldbergs/Fresh/Modern/Speechless/Grace Thu: Grey's/Scandal/Murder Fri: Standing/Documenting Love/Carol Burnett/Ken/news Sun: AFV/DwtS/Shark
  14. Elfman has a new show debuting on ABC in April called "Imaginary Mary". I hope it bombs. To make it worse, it's replacing a show that is one of a few shows on tv with a gay lead character. That show is pretty much gauranteed to come back next fall, but still . . .
  15. I dont know what you want. I'm just passing along what I've been told. Things change constantly in show business, but my friend has been adamant for months that Once isn't being renewed. The network and the studio aren't even discussing it.
  16. I was howling as Sandra was making things up about she and Jeff's purported relationship, and when she was trying to sexy talking to and then walking away from.
  17. I dont remember Maggie being arrested last season on Med or PD. Well, at least she finally got something to do. I think the newly returned Chief guy is supposed to be an interation of ER's Ramano, but the writing and acting are compltely missing the mark. Run FireDoc, run! What was up with Halstead's strange accent in the scenes with the bulemic jockey? Is that Gehlfuss' natural accent?
  18. I spoke to my friend at ABC Studios and she said Once is absolutely, unequivocally, definitively NOT being renewed. ABC has already approached ABC Studios about financing for next season for every single show produced or co-produced by it, except for Once.
  19. On a throwback-Thursday picture that was a modeling shot I did about 10 years ago before I discovered food trucks, this person wrote that "this picture is evidence that you are a male prostitute that does drugs and dropped out of school in 8 grade". Another which was my favorite Bible verse was "evidence that I have a mental disorder". I'm surprised I wasn't accused of being "glib". For the record, in the picture I have pants on and am barely lifting my shirt. I also have a PhD in applied mathematics.
  20. I love when Leah "in my opinion that is practicing medicine without a license". I then shouted "it's not your opinion Leah, it's a fact". If the IRS wont do anything maybe some medical board/assoc/org will. I also loved in the promo for nexy week when Leah told viewers to 'Google it for yourselves'. Be warned, some $cieno may come after you on your social media. A few days ago, I posted something about Miscavage on Insta, and the next morning someone had left some bizarre comments on every single picture I've ppsted on it going back almost two years. My friends, family, colleagues, and I have had a hilarious time reading them.
  21. Unfortunatly Natalia Cordova-Buckley is (still) recurring. I just hope she doesnt land a(nother) contraxt gig and become unvaialable like Juan Pablo Raba. Mack and Elena, separartely AND collectively, are the best parts of the show!
  22. I'm going to miss Luz. Wish they had sone more with she and Oliver.
  23. Mack being disgusted at Radcliffe's & Fitz's obvious attraction to Aida, then him going on and on about the robots, then beheading Aida, and Elena's "smart people are dumb" was everything. I think there's going to be a twist where we and Radcliffe think he's running the show, but really Aida has gained sentience and is the true big bad. For me, the way Mallory Jensen played that last scene was as if this Aida and the one that was beheaded have the same "brain" and she is only pretending to go along with Radcliffe.
  24. This episode felt like it was missing something. It was as if they cut a scene for time and that scene explained or tied something together.
  25. One of my colleagues binged watched Leah's show and Going Clear this weekend, and when I asked her what she thought she goes "L. Ron Hubbard's teeth gave me nightmares!" She didnt have much to say about the IRS exemption, the abuse, etc., but damn she went on about those teeth for a good five minutes. i was laughing my ass off as she went on and on about them.
