Yes, that's Alexandra "Dusty" Cohen. But, Former Nun, it's worse than that. Dusty is the one who ran into Amanda Bynes at the height of Amanda's mental illness breakdowns in NYC . Dusty giddily talked about her Amanda sighting on The View. She was so flipping proud of herself it was disgusting. Based on her shameful behavior over the Amanda incident, I'm convinced Dusty is a large part of this show spinning off the rails into reality TV show crap and "pop" culture "news". She helped Geddie destroy this show. Good riddance. In her book, Audition, Babs said: Jenny's tweet:

Wow, it's confirmed that Geddie is gone? Yippee! It's about damn time. It looks like ABC had to get Babs out of the way before they were able to finally get rid of Geddie and revamp the show that he's managed to destroy. If Sherri and Jenny will no longer be on any shows, I'm not that surprised considering the show's history of swift endings, (Star, Rosie, EH). But, don't forget, they were not fired! Yeah, right.

I'm surprised they aren't airing repeats all week next week with the 4th of July being on Friday. It would be just like them to make this huge announcement not only on a Thursday when there's no live show tomorrow, but also right before having a week off. Next Monday promises to be so awkward that I think I might have to tune in.

I think Sherri might have known all season that she was on shaky ground. Didn't it seem like she was pursuing a lot of side ventures, traveling more than ever this year, to get whatever jobs and money she could while she was still on a national TV show and would be able to garner more offers? Sherri is her own worst enemy and she has no one to blame for her dismissal but herself. She became so freaking full of herself this past year or so, she was just insufferable. Any and all criticism was dismissed as being from jealous "haters". Happy and smug in her own delusional world, she listened only to the chorus of gushing die-hard fans on Twitter and Instagram who told her how terrific she was with every asinine tweet and dopey selfie she posted. Unfortunately for her, Sherri appears to have no one on her management team, or even family and friends, who could have gotten through to her with some constructive criticism. Also, I think TPTB at The View didn't try to rein her in and make her more palatable to the viewers, but decided instead to give her enough rope to hang herself. Again, she has no one to blame but herself. She should be thankful she had this easy, part-time, high paying gig for as many years as she did, because she certainly didn't deserve it. She put no effort into it, never bothered to improve at all but actually got worse with each passing year, and also seemed to take it for granted.

The only thing that sucks about today's news that Sherri and Jenny have been fired is that I just know that stupid Elisabeth Hasselbeck is gloating over the fact that the show totally imploded in the year after she left. I can only hope that Fox gave her a one year contract and it doesn't get renewed! Hopefully, we'll have that news within the next couple of months, since she started there last September.

Well, at least Jeffrey wont have to be humiliated by his mother talking about him and acting like an ass on national TV every day. Edit: I shouldn't say "acting like an ass". It's more like "being an ass."

I know I've said it more than a few times, but just pull the freaking plug on this fiasco and get it over with already. fl2dc, ugh, I hope Rancic is not seriously in the running. Also, I agree that it's not an ideal situation for a family.

I have no idea. That's what I was wondering about. Would he really audition* for this show when his wife is based in LA? Plus, they have a kid and want to add a second one. * Gawd help me... that's at least the third time I've typed the word "audition" tonight and each time I could envision and hear Babs holding up her book and exclaiming, "Audition!" like she did years ago when she was relentlessly pushing it on the show.

Okay, as dorky as this is, I'm going to admit it in case it might help other viewers. I only started watching this show near the end of Season 3 when the houses were being built. There was no way I could keep any of the kids straight. Then, last December when new episodes were about to begin, I came across this article and saved it because it listed all the kids, (and the dates of the marriages, which I also had no clue about). I just posted in the All Episodes thread that it sure seems like Bill Rancic has been a frequent guest co-host recently and I wondered if he was auditioning for the show, especially with his wife being based in LA for E News. In most of the interviews and articles that I've seen all year, Barbara has suggested that they might have a male co-host next season. I've figured for many months now that that's the direction they're going in; that's their idea of "shaking up" the show. They just can't admit that the time to pull the plug was several years ago.

I don't watch the show anymore but from reading here it sure seems like Bill Rancic has been a frequent guest co-host recently. Is he really auditioning for this job? His wife has to be based in LA for E News, right?

Didn't EH also make a (totally lame) apology to Erin Andrews? The bullshit "apology" where she said something about talking to Grace about feeling bad because she made someone sad or something?

I really think this show is beyond repair. That is all.

I noticed the eyeglasses too, especially since I don't watch the show but had read everyone's comments about them that day. Also, is that a heart tattoo that Jenny has on the inside of her wrist? I was just thinking that. We all know how Babs plays the game not wanting viewers to think they actually fired someone. It started with Star, and she did the same thing with EH and Joy (who deserved better) . From what I've seen on her Twitter and Instagram comments, Sherri does have something of a fan base and I think Babs and Geddie wouldn't want to deal with the backlash for firing her, especially when her personal life is an absolute mess. Still, I think that Sherri is the worst part of this show and should definitely be the one to go. The fact that she has her house listed for sale might mean she knows her contract's up. It's not like Sal contributed to the mortgage and overhead and she now has to sell with him gone. She listed the house so quickly when it really didn't need to be done so fast, especially since her son has enough change to deal with - Sal is gone, and mom will soon be introducing him to a new baby brother via surrogate. Now he has to move (back to NY?) on top of all the other changes and after he has only lived there for about a year and a half? It just seems like a hell of a lot to throw on the kid. So, maybe Sherri's only selling the house now because her contract at The View is up.

I always thought the fact that her son remained in Chicago all year was an indication that she knew she might only be on the show for a year. From what I've seen and read, she adds nothing to the show and would not be missed. Interesting paragraph from that article:

Bethenny Frankel? Oh, please, no. If she's being considered as a co-host, it illustrates just how clueless Geddie and TPTB are. Bethenny's show was cancelled for low ratings! No one likes her anymore, even her one time fan base. I've read that her books and products are no longer selling. She might have been "hot" a few years ago, but she is definitely on a downward trend. That certainly doesn't seem like a good choice for a new co-host. But, the decisions made on this show never makes any sense Babs will be back already? Just to pimp her upcoming interview, of course. Nothing ever changes...

Brooklynista, I totally get that as many, many people feel the same way. Yet, they don't advertise it like Whoopi does. To be getting paid as much as she does for this part time job and come right out and make that statement is so rude and disrespectful. I can't imagine Barbara being thrilled to hear or read about that. Whoopi comes off as a crass, ungrateful bitch when she should be thanking her lucky stars that she's had this easy, ridiculously high paying gig for several years now. Babs must be a lot nicer than I am, because if I were her and I read that statement I would have made sure that Whoopi's present contract is her last contract.

I remember several years ago, maybe in her first year or two on the show, Whoopi said she was very thankful for The View job, especially after she lost that Slimfast contract and didn't have much work.
