  1. polarvortexyes, I agree about there being so many questions and timeline lies. A lot of it just does not make any sense. For several months, Sherri was tweeting photos of her and Sal watching TV, going on "date nights", etc. Then, at the end of March, she tweeted about going out to CA with Sal for something exciting ("hubby wife duo"). Yet, she apparently returned to NJ/NY without him and mere weeks later, he filed for separation in CA. Too much of this just does not add up . Also, with all her talk of religion, I find it odd that she would end it that abruptly without any marital counseling. Btw, I turned the TV on a few minutes ago just at the very beginning of Entertainment Tonight and I heard Nancy O'Dell say she was supposed to interview Sherri's ex Jeff about his custody case but he was a no-show for the interview. In the preview, it looks like she interviewed his lawyer instead. I left it on that channel just to see what they say, so I'll post about it later.
  2. Stinger97, thanks for the link. I hadn't heard or read about the new season yet. I watched the clip, and as if Melissa Gorga wasn't tacky and low class enough, they're adding three of her loser friends? They and their husbands seem even worse than the other people that have been on this show so far. The clip doesn't make me feel like watching this season at all, even for the snark factor, which is really all the show is good for. Well, that and the fact that my son uses the fact that I watch this crap as bribery/blackmail material against me. He knows I'd be mortified if anyone knew that I watched it. Hey, mom is a total cable news junkie and sometimes she just needs to check out and watch something completely stupid.
  3. Shorter version: Left Real Ho's of NJ for a crappy tacky HGTV show of her own. That failed and now $he's back on Bravo. Ka-ching!
  4. Huh? What kind of bio is this?! They left out the part about lying on all the loan applications and also in their bankruptcy filing.
  5. I'm no fan of Sherri's, but what an effing a-hole Sal is! I feel so sorry for that baby! The two of them are completely selfish to have gone the surrogate route. There's no way their relationship was all fine and dandy back in early November when he tweeted about the big day. I don't think this marriage was ever on solid ground and they never should have even entertained the idea of bringing another child into this mess.
  6. Since I saw Babs on two different entertainment shows tonight, (Extra and Entertainment Tonight), puffing about her career and all the tributes to her this week, I have an idea for the title of this thread. In one of the interviews, her infamous question to Katherine Hepburn came up, the old "What kind of tree would you be?" It still irks Babs all these years later that she still gets ridiculed for that question because she says she only asked it as a follow up when KH said she'd like to be a tree. So, just since she would hate it, I vote for a title like Barbara Walters: What Kind of Tree Would You Be? Although the tree question isn't included in this clip, here it is for anyone interested - Gayle King interviews the great BW for Entertainment Tonight: http://www.etonline.com/news/146382_barbara_walters_opens_up_about_her_past_present_and_future/index.html I'm sure Oprah will love the part where Babs takes credit for her career and essentially ALL women who followed her in TV "journalism". Also, she yet again takes an opportunity to bash Harry Reasoner!
  7. Well, it looks like Babs will begin her final week as a co-host of The View by crowing about her interview with Donald Sterling's wife, Shelly: http://abcnews.go.com/2020/abc-news-exclusive-shelly-sterling-eventually-file-divorce/story?id=23673962 But, remember last week when she interviewed the mistress, V. Whatever-Her-Name-Is, that there were reports that BW was actually trying to secure an interview with Donald Sterling and she was competing with Anderson Cooper for it? Too bad, so sad, Anderson won out on that big "get": http://www.cnn.com/2014/05/11/us/donald-sterling-interview/index.html
  8. She might not deserve it, but - and I know I'm being harsh here - she certainly did bring it all on herself. My sympathies lie with her son and with the poor unborn child who didn't need to be brought into this hellacious mess.
  9. Sheesh, I hate when they close it down over there! I always miss the good stuff. Plus, give me a break, the whole site is shutting down soon anyway! You know, with the site closing down anyway, I say this is a good time for us to just start posting about The View over here at PTV and forget about them.
  10. Thanks @Lisin. I read about it somewhere in the site business forum recently and then I forgot to try it. It's a good idea! ETA: Argh....it didn't work. ETA2: Trying again because I just read here: http://forums.previously.tv/topic/6304-new-feature-mentions/#entry58741 So, let me try this again without the period at the end of the sentence - Thanks @Lisin ETA3: Well, that's weird. Not only did it work this time, but when I edited my post without making any changes to my first sentence in the original post, it suddenly fixed my first attempt. The first time I posted it, it didn't work and was still showing the @ sign. Sorry if I'm looking like an airhead now.
  11. MilkMachine, excellent points about Tori expanding her brand through motherhood. She certainly did get a lot of mileage out of it with the magazine covers, reality shows, books, blog, etc. Also, she tried some business ventures along the way like the kid clothing line, the store, and others. I haven't followed it all, but I know she used her shows to promote them.
  12. I agree, DangerousMInds. I watched their original show, and I always thought she had a baby right away in an effort to secure the marriage and keep him with her. It makes no sense because having a kid with the first wife, (and an adopted baby on the way), didn't keep him there, but I think that's how insecure Tori saw it. She wanted to create an instant family so Dean would be there as much as possible, focus on her and their baby, and sort of forget about the first family that he gave up. Sadly, I've seen women do this. It becomes like a competition.
  13. Damn, I missed the joke, backformore. I always miss the good stuff. WTH didn't you just get a warning rather than a ban? Especially now when they'll only be around a few more weeks anyway. Years ago, when I first posted there, I received a very nasty and rude warning which provoked me into a rant which, of course, led to my banning and months later, (or maybe even a year later), I went back with a new name, (this current one). In addition to being rude, the mod also was completely inconsistent in warning me for a minor infraction and something I had seen many others do often. It hasn't been too busy in The View forum here, but I'm sure it will be once TWoP is gone. I've been reading and posting in several other forums here at PTV and I actually like it a lot better here. I've found that the mods are very reasonable, not on power trips, and I also like that many of them watch the shows and participate in the forums. It just makes it more enjoyable and if they do have to say something to keep us in line, we understand where it's coming from, and that it's from a mod who is also a member of the community. Looking forward to posting with you here, backformore!
  14. I haven't watched it yet, but I just made a new thread for this episode. Tori's mother was on Entertainment Tonight last night talking about Tori's recent hospitalization, the show, and the kids, but really just pushing her new book: http://www.etonline.com/news/146146_candy_spelling_opens_up_about_tori_s_recent_hospitalization/index.html
  15. Bella, just tell him to look in the Whole Foods parking lot for a bunch of Toyota SUV's. Interesting Boston themed ideas, everyone. I don't think this has been posted here yet from Bravo's Top chef website (emphasis mine):
  16. I know! A lot of people won't be happy with the finale now. I read the spoilers a while ago and was happy about the winners until a couple of weeks ago when Dave turned into a huge a-hole. I was really surprised and disappointed. I'm not even interested in the rest of the season knowing what the result is. Ugh, I'm going to try next season to avoid the spoiler thread!
  17. Ratings info for Episode 2: Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's reality show True Tori gets hammered by The Little Couple in ratings battle
  18. Chattygal, I thought that recipe sounded good too when I first read about it at TWoP and then checked The Chew's website and watched the video of Michael preparing it. I was sure it was going to be a dish that I liked but it was kind of underwhelming. Now that you mention possibly trying the recipe without the tomatoes, I think that's a good idea because I think my biggest problem with it was that the cauliflower and sausage seemed to get lost in the tomatoes. Then again, the tomatoes are being used to tie all the ingredients together in a casserole. Without them, you would just have the cooked sausage meat and cauliflower. Again, I would rather just roast the cauliflower in the oven and cook the sausage links on a grill pan or the barbecue. If you follow his recipe and eliminate the tomatoes I think you would have to substitute something else in their place. Although, I Googled around while in the middle of typing this post and I saw a similar recipe on Epicurious and someone said in a review that they omitted the tomatoes and it was delicious. So, I guess it's worth a try. I might have to think about this some more and experiment a bit. Please let me know if you try the recipe, or a variation of it!
  19. I think every single scene was totally fake and scripted. As far as Dean's relevations in the therapy session, Dean's nervous breakdown, complete with suicidal thoughts, is supposedly the reason he had to check into rehab a few months ago? So, we're supposed to believe that back in December when the US Weekly story broke and Tori and Dean went to Dr. Wexler for therapy, and the paparazzi were following them around, that they somehow missed an ambulance carting Dean away from the therapist's office? Somehow, in the midst of this media shit storm, Tori and Dean managed to keep the news of his mental breakdown and ambulance trip from the therapist's office to a rehab facility completely quiet and under wraps until Episode 2 of their "reality" show several months later? Yeah, sure.
  20. Yes, I said from the beginning that I thought this entire show was just one big hoax.
  21. Although I don't even watch this show, I enjoy reading about it at TWoP and now here at Previoulsy.TV. So, after reading about Michael Symon's Cauliflower Sausage Casserole, I decided to try the recipe. After reading the comments where they pointed out some discrepancies between the online recipe and what Michael actually did on the show, I watched the video clip to see for myself and took note of the correct steps. I mostly followed his recipe, but substituted chicken Italian sausage. I'm not usually a casserole person, but this sounded good because I love cauliflower and chicken Italian sausage, so I decided to give it a try. Although most people seem to like this recipe, we weren't crazy about it. It wasn't terrible, but just okay. I guess it's just not my style of cooking. Normally, I would grill the chicken sausage and roast the cauliflower with some garlic and a spritz of olive oil. I think using these two ingredients that way is so much easier and tastes a LOT better than this particular recipe. The cauliflower seemed to just get lost in the tomatoes, which isn't a good thing if you actually like cauliflower. Roasting it in the oven produces delicious, caramelized cauliflower florets that I prefer much more to a dish like this.
  22. Rhondinella, that was a great analysis of the inane garbage on his LinkedIn profile, (thanks for posting it, DangerousMinds). It's just a bunch of buzz words that mean nothing. When a resume with this type of "buzz speak" lands on a desk it should immediately get thrown in the "circular file", as far as I'm concerned. Although, it might be fun to interview someone like this and ask him to explain what the hell he's talking about on his resume. As far as the use of "it's" instead of "its", I cringed at that also. Unfortunately, that mistake is so common these days that I'm actually surprised on the rare occasion that I see the the proper form used. So, I thought it was a good sign that he used it correctly ("its") in the first paragraph, only to read further and see it used incorrectly ("it's") in the second and third paragraphs. Oh well, I think that's probably the least of his problems. That said, I admit to being far from perfect and now I'm a bit nervous that our mod is an English teacher!
  23. I watched the episode and I stll think the whole mess is a big hoax.
