  1. annzeepark914, thanks for sharing that recipe!. It's right up my alley, as I love artichoke hearts, olives, and feta cheese. I have to try that real soon. I can already tell from reading the recipe that I'll like it. It looks like a great summer pasta recipe.
  2. Vera Charles, I noticed that framed photo in the guest room too and I thought it was kind of weird. TR has a large framed photo of himself on the nightstand in his guest room?
  3. I think the main rule here at PTV is, "Don't be a dick", which is one of the reasons I love it here. In all my years of reading about The View at the old place, I don't think I've ever seen anyone being a dick.
  4. I continue to hold out hope that this crapfest gets cancelled, mostly because I don't think any of the co-hosts deserve this high paying, part time, easy gig that they put absolutely no effort into.
  5. Oh, so this was just a one time special last summer, not a series? I love how Tori characterizes it on her website, (emphasis mine): Ugh, Tori! Did you birth four children or four circus performers? The world has seen enough of them, FFS. They're getting older now and have been featured more than enough on your various reality shows. How about trying something different, like, hmm, you and Dean just sticking to Chopped Canada and whatever the hell that show you're on now with Jennie Garth, and whatever acting gigs you can get and leave your kids alone. Let them grow up in privacy now, please! After what you subjected them to on your nightmare "True Tori" they deserve at least that much from their parents. Enough already!
  6. Good news! I went down to our basement and found the almost brand new portable A/C unit that we got a couple of years ago so we could use it while waiting for our central A/C system to be fixed (totally replaced, actually). It's just what we'll need in hell. Hey, who says we can't be happy and comfortable there? As long as the company and conversation are good, we have some nice drinks, and we've got A/C, I'm good. Manicures and pedicures would be a nice bonus too. Btw, when I was trying to figure out just how many seasons I watched Tori and Dean's old reality show and which season I quit watching, I checked Wikipedia and it made me remember something. I watched through to the end of the fifth season, not knowing then that the sixth season would be the final one. Wikipedia says the final episode of the fifth season was entitled, "Eat, Drink and Remarry" and it aired on June 7, 2010, which makes me vaguely remember that now. Didn't they renew their wedding vows in that season finale? I remember Tori's mom was there, having just sort of reconciled with Tori. They only had Liam and Stella at that point. Anyway, if they renewed their vows then after only about four years of marriage, what's with all these rumors that they're trying to get a new season or show featuring a vow renewal? What's the deal, renew the vows every four years? A bit freaking ridiculous if you ask me. These two need to realize that they have completely exhausted any ideas (gimmicks) for reality show episodes and just move on already.
  7. "Dean and Tori's Backyard Bash"? I had no idea, so had to Google that just now. Then, I thanked the universe for somehow making me miss that one. I guess I tuned these two out years ago after watching most seasons of their reality show but then totally skipping their last season. Tori's description of their "Backyard Bash" show on her website (August 2013) leaves me with one thought. These two have been doing these reality shows for years and making a living off their kids from the time the first one, Liam, was in utero. After all these years, and after this latest fiasco of a show, I think it's high time they leave the kids out of it and get show(s) on their own or find a new line of work.
  8. I need to correct my post regarding that New York Post Page Six piece about Sherri's refusal to wear reading glasses. I had said: I had the dates off. Sherri and Sal got married in August of 2011, so I was wrong when I said they must have met in November of 2010. According to her Wikipedia page, Sherri and Sal got engaged in December of 2010. So, they met on Thanksgiving of 2009, not 2010. That's interesting because at the time of the Page Six piece, November of 2010, Sherri had been dating Sal for a year, yet she was blabbing about “I can’t do the reading glasses, I haven’t got my husband yet" and about needing to look sexy in a club (to get a man). Yeah, I remember she (uncharacteristically) kept the whole Sal thing under wraps. I remember some of us were surprised when she was on that HGTV show and had a boyfriend whom she had never mentioned.
  9. Yikes. I spent a few minutes browsing some clips on ABC's site. That roundish, curly red wig she wore this week was horrible! Then, I found a clip where she was wearing the glasses. It was during Tepid Topics when they discussed the school shootings. Btw, I know what the topic was only from the description on ABC's site, because I watch the clips with the volume off. That's how much I despise these annoying and obnoxious people. Getting back to the glasses, I think it's already been mentioned above but all I could think is how dumb it looked that she wore the glasses down low on her nose like that. Also, I was distracted by her outfit, or what I could see of it while she was seated at the table. The top half of the dress (?) was transparent, or more like full of tiny holes, (like crochet), and you could see her big black bra through it. And none of you mentioned that yet?! Good heavens, who gives Sherri fashion advice??
  10. ginger90, thanks for looking for me. Maybe I'll have to try watching that episode. But, I should disclose that I usually curse everyone when your comments tempt me to watch a clip of this mess. That NY Post Page Six piece from November 18, 2010 that you posted: Maybe I'm wrong here and don't understand because I don't need reading glasses yet, but wouldn't reading glasses be needed to read the blue cards (up close) and not the teleprompter (far away)? Also, as others have already mentioned above, why on earth would you need them at a club? Oh, that's right, it's just another lame Sherri "joke". November 18, 2010? I think that was a mere week before Sherri met her huzzzbin at her friend Niecy Nash's house on Thanksgiving.
  11. Vera Charles, I was about to post the exact same comment. I switched to bagged sauerkraut years ago and it's so much better.
  12. Medicine Crow, I really hope CosmoCrush shows up! It won't be the same without her. And, what will we do without the shoe reviews? I have to say that I never thought it possible, but I like it here so much more than the old place. I love the fact that we can go off topic in the various threads and discuss whatever we want, as opposed to just sticking with what's on the show or risk getting your knuckles slapped with the ruler.
  13. Former Nun, yes it's interesting isn't? Or, should I say, "It's so funny..."? I always laugh when some celeb announces their divorce or separation but they had just been seen kissing and/or groping each other on some red carpet within the last couple of months. It confirms that they were so totally faking it in public. Whenever I see PDA's, I wonder when the divorce news is coming. I finally checked out that real estate listing for her house (thanks to the posters who linked it). Did anyone notice the real estate taxes? A whopping $34,751. I don't like anything about that house except for the backyard area. If she remains on the show, Sherri and her son would be so much better off moving back to NYC so she could be close to work and he could be near his school.
  14. After taking a few weeks off from reading about The View, I'm finally caught up in this forum. It's so nice to see so many familiar names here. I quit The View in September of 2011 but I love reading all your comments about the show and the co-hosts. I just have one question: Has CosmoCrush made it over here from TWoP? She was one of my favorite posters and I would really miss her if she didn't join us here.
  15. Note to Sal (and Sherri): One must have skills in the first place before the possibility that the skills can go dormant.
  16. About my last post, the one with the link to the article about Babs being on The Tonight Show, sorry that I missed that this was already discussed in the main thread for The View. I was several pages behind in my reading of the threads in this forum. All caught up now!
  17. You're all making me curious about Sherri's new glasses. I don't watch the show anymore and I haven't seen any photos of her wearing them yet. Check out this video where Sherri and Niecy Nash discuss her meeting Sal at Niecy's house at Thanksgiving. Sherri claims she wasn't looking for a man, and she doesn't like tall men. Neicy pushed her into it, mostly by convincing Sherri she needed to find a man that will be there for her son. It seems Sal knew this was the angle, so he honed right in on that. Also, near the the end of the video Niecy says she had to beg Sherri to talk to Sal on the phone after they met: How Sherri Shepherd Started Over http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNry5Mwwcpc
  18. Yesterday, a judge in CA issued a ruling on the motion Sal filed last month to seal the divorce case. While the judge didn't order the entire case sealed, he did rule partly in Sal's favor by prohibiting Sherri (and Sal) from publicly discussing any details of the surrogacy: Sherri Shepherd and estranged husband Lamar Sally 'ordered by judge to stop talking about their surrogate' Also in the article, Sherri's comments on the divorce: As much as I've despised some of Sherri's wigs, I really can't stand that awful bun on top of the head look she's been doing lately.
  19. I've kind of tuned out reading anything about The View for a few weeks, and hadn't even heard or read about the announcement earlier this week that Babs landed that interview with Peter Rodger. So, I was surprised when I came across this article and couldn't help thinking WTF is Babs doing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon?! Then, I saw at the end that she was on to pimp the interview. Oh, and she also told her Clint Eastwood story. Some things never change: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2656348/Barbara-Walters-attempted-seduce-Clint-Eastwood-Jersey-Boys-premiere-30-years-turned-down.html
  20. Giuliana was on an Australian morning radio show on Wednesday and she said there's one embryo left: 'We'll have another perfect little Duke': Giuliana Rancic remains positive of baby joy after revealing they have one embryo left after surrogate's miscarriage
  21. NJ has notoriously high real estate taxes, probably the highest in the country. I thought it was interesting the way they brought up the tax figure in the NJ episode, because I don't remember ever seeing the real estate taxes mentioned on HH. But, in NJ one of the very first questions prospective home buyers have after the price of the house is how high are the taxes. I'm pretty sure the voice over coming back from one of the commercials mentioned that Morris County is one of the most affluent counties in the country. Many Fortune 500 businesses are headquartered there, salaries are on the high side, and many people commute to NYC where the salaries are even higher. Most people are used to the high real estate taxes, although it's a perpetual source of complaints. The major problem with the high real estate taxes is that it forces so many people to sell their homes and move out of state when they retire. Almost everyone cites the high real estate taxes and high cost of living as the main reason for moving away from their family and friends when they retire.
  22. Yes, lots of fakery with this show: Producers on Tori Spelling's reality TV show accused of fabricating tweets from viewers during reunion special
  23. Speaking of expensive kid birthday parties: Tori Spelling spends '$6K on daughter Stella's birthday party' with luxurious pampering session at high end spa
  24. No, you're not the only one. I just read another article and it mentioned she turns 28 next month. About a year or so ago, I was wondering if she'd be another member of the 27 club. I'm actually shocked that she's (probably) going to make it to 28. She looks like hell: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2655357/Disheveled-Lindsay-Lohan-ambles-one-Londons-poshest-suburbs-cigarette-dangling-mouth-one-trouser-leg-rolled-up.html
