DanaK replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Kevin Can F**k Himself
Renewed for a 2nd season https://tvline.com/2021/08/27/kevin-can-f-himself-renewed-season-2-amc-annie-murphy-returning/ Let's hope it can work out the kinks because I'm not sure it's sure what kind of show it should be- 29 replies

S08.E05: PB & J / S08.E06: The Set Up
DanaK replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Brooklyn Nine-Nine
I was actually surprised when it turned out the police union president and his people were messing with the snacks to get back at Amy. That was a hilarious reveal I don’t think Huffy Holt came across as particularly huffy, more like his usual lecturing self -

I enjoyed the second episode far more than the first as I’ve never particularly warmed to Doug Judy, though I didn’t hate the first episode -
It certainly seems like Nina is going to ask Liesel to take out Peter. Go for it Liesel! She’ll make sure Peter stays dead

The Camarilla could have also recruited the Vice President at some point during his life. But knowing these guys, they could have played the long game with the Vice President The guy who is currently the leader of the Camarilla is just so smarmy. I hate seeing his face. The actor does a really good job playing a know-it-all jerk

This was pretty fun, with Debbie Morgan really making it work. I didn’t expect the professor’s fantasy to cross over to hers. I do agree that barely two fantasies is looking obvious and a little strange with this new version. Given they were still filming this Spring, it probably is due to Covid protocols

This episode felt scattered and in search of a plot until the garbage robot danger became apparent and then it became interesting. Had to laugh at Brainy calling the garbage monster names and afterwards the robot checked with him to see if he meant all the namecalling. And Zor-El, if someone suggests that maybe your untried plan should go through tests first, you say yes! Also to note, they said there will be 13 episodes left when the show returned, so now there are 12 episodes left

So the Vice President was part of the Camarilla after all. I think somebody called that Pretty good finale over all. Not sure I like the group being fugitives, but we’ll see how they execute it next season

Like, was this the most plots forwarding episode in a long time? A few things happened that I wasn’t expecting anytime soon. Are we in Feb sweeps or something?

The Salisbury Poisonings - General Discussion
DanaK replied to DanaK's topic in The Salisbury Poisonings
I finally finished the last two parts tonight. I thought it was a pretty good emotional drama overall and felt bad for Dawn and her family that she was a casualty of this, but miraculously, the only casualty I thought 4 parts was just about right for this; any more would have been unnecessary -
Great about a renewal, sad it will be the last season, as there seems to be a lot of story and worldbuilding left to tell. Hopefully this was the showrunner's choice, but I don't know whether Freeform prematurely cancels things

Good wrapup with the finale Also, kudos to the producers for getting commentary from Dawn Wells and Gavin McLeod before they passed

And in the lateness of Summer no less

From last night’s episode, Pygmy hippos are adorable and Pygmy hippo calves are even more so
-
Yes, I think I was subconsciously thinking that

It was interesting how some of those contestants made some of the obstacles look very easy, with the Dutch Courage windmill being the most prominent

Needless to say, I think we can all guess that a potential Season 3 on OWN will not have a White male showrunner, especially one who has had several HR complaints against him. A show like this does hit OWN's sweet spot. And hopefully whoever is in charge would get the show back on track because Season 2 had some issues

She doesn't seem very good to me either and I think the monotone is probably a big part of it.

Boy, tough to watch. It’s unfortunate the US and Chinese medical experts, including people like Fauci, were so wrong early on about human to human transmission but this was so new and different that they didn’t know, but perhaps they should have given more cautious advice. It’s also unfortunate the US administration was...at odds with itself let’s say. It’s interesting how touchy the Chinese government was about looking weak to foreigners. The comparison of various Chinese and Americans, especially medical folks, fighting to get the truth out in the face of hostile opposition from government and hospital officials was quite interesting, then comparing that to those folks protesting that Covid wasn’t even real and against lockdowns and even masks was really something. No wonder the filmmaker was puzzled with the latter
