    S04.E13: Suspicion

Initially, I thought Eddie and the woman were flirting (and I still think they were), then when she was rescued and he talked to her and the son, I sensed something was up with their situation, and of course it was. I think i watch too many medical shows It will be interesting to see how and if Bobby and Althea figure out their issues because that was some pretty heavy stuff they laid down Hopefully Eddie survives. I don’t want Christopher to be an orphan Maddie sure seems like she has post partum depression
  2. Cost-wise, I get Peacock for free because I have Comcast cable. Plus, I have a Roku (hooked up to my TV) and watch most of my streaming on that (the rest via my Tivo DVR)
  3. I thought La Fiera agreed not to kill the son of her rival in order to end the drug war? Or did someone else order his death and kill him?
  4. I understand Mo’s reluctance with Perry. Why keep trying with a new beau who isn’t even that comfortable yet with being gay? Plus, Perry seems much too serious to me As for the less than stellar singers, I’ve decided I’m ok with not everyone being a great singer as long as they are a really good actor
  5. As dysfunctional as it probably is, I actually liked the La Fiera/Lopez relationship this season. It explored cultural issues and respect of the person without accepting their criminal behavior and an understanding between two women who were similar and dissimilar. Lopez made clear to that Federal agent guy that she didn’t have all the answers about La Fiera but knew and accepted that she didn’t where he was an ass and his White male American viewpoint made him blow her off and underestimate her
  6. I had pretty close to the same thought. I was very glad to see Simon convince DMD to buy the company and use their talents for what they needed I’m pretty well convinced that DMD is an incompetent and bad boss, especially after last episode with how he handled the potential new employees by springing on them yet another job test. However, the above scene where Simon convinced him not to destroy a small company composed of very smart young Black men (and women?) and bring them into the fold instead shows yet again that he’s capable of listening and using his money for good. But this guy is definitely exhausting I have to say, in spite of a very tough year+ and TV season due to the pandemic, several of my shows have been killing it with their finales
  7. Was she the young lady who was homeless and Chen gave her her old car?
  8. Who knew La Fiera would disrupt Chen’s undercover drug operation? That seemed to come out of left field to me, at least a bit, and seemed a rushed way to get her arrested. Other than that, this was a good and entertaining finale. I think La Fiera’s seeming obsession with Lopez is going to contribute to some kind of final downfall for her I like Nolan’s new girlfriend so far Regarding the emergency wedding planner team, I remember the introduction of the autistic-y young man many episodes ago, but I can’t recall when the young woman was introduced. Was it just last episode as part of Chen’s undercover intro or has she been in the season previously?
  9. This was a pretty entertaining and enjoyable finale all around, with enough left unfixed to pick up in a new season. I feel since it’s being considered, I think it’s more than 50% likely this show will get moved to Peacock Agree. Anything with GhostMitch gets to me now as I lost both of my elderly parents last year
  10. I don’t think we’ll see Joe as a regular; the executive producer indicated in an interview that the actor is busy and in demand when asked if Joe would be a regular, which reads as a no I do think there should maybe be one less storyline of the week, ie 2 or 3 instead of 4
  11. If I were Chen, I would immediately back out of any undercover work with Harper. Harper comes across as a little too dangerous and maybe a bit unhinged given her years of undercover work. I wouldn't feel safe with her or her people. Chen seems to want to prove something though
  12. Karen is toxic and is a great example of showing that sometimes you need to cut family out of your life. Street won’t do that but he should
  13. White guy continually fails upward. People of Color and women get canceled at first opportunity. Repeat as necessary until the cycle gets broken
  14. I agree, it’s an interesting comparison. I just don't like the constant antagonism and it bothers me that I can’t decide if I should trust the dad or not
  15. Conversely, I like Darryl and his storyline and how Hondo advises him and looks after him, but I don’t like Darryl’s dad or his rivalry with Hondo too much
  16. This was pretty good and tense. It felt more like a season finale though Luca doesn't come across as a tough leader needed for such a tough assignment especially as he was on the verge of crying all episode, but he seems good in other parts of leadership. I’m a little surprised the bad guy leader didn’t treat him as a pushover
  17. Sad because it was a charming show. I didn’t quite like it as much in the second season with Walter settling in too much with his new girlfriend but it still had loads of charm I get not having room for something on the linear channel and soft ratings, but It does make you wonder now that shows are starting to get moved to streaming siblings why all too-soft-in-ratings shows don’t get moved over
  18. Sad as it had a lot of potential. I guess it might have been considered too much trouble after losing its stupid showrunner
  19. Renewed!! https://tvline.com/2021/05/15/b-positive-renewed-season-2-cbs/
  20. Two weeks from now, the 26th. An episode got preempted in April for a presidential address, pushing the season back one week
  21. I probably missed it but I wonder if Joe will face any discipline for killing Max and shooting that ex-ATF guy in both knees?
  22. More two episodes for the finale on the same night, not that they necessarily had to be about the same thing. That kind of blew my mind a little though that CBS would demand such a specific thing, especially in such a topsy turvy season. Given normal stuff and then with the pandemic, what if they didn't have exactly 2 episodes left by the specific date? I did very much appreciate that they decided to go with one story and a two hour finale. Made for a different finale than usual for this show and it was done really well.
  23. Finale is June 2 http://thefutoncritic.com/listings/20210514cw08/&date=06/02/2021&filter=premieres
  24. Paramount+ is a streaming service, what used to be CBS All Access. I don't know what P+'s status is outside America. I don't know what the release strategy will be. Some streaming services drop all at once, some have a mixed strategy where for one show they would drop a couple for the premiere then once a week, and another show they would drop all at once Deadline did say it might play its first few episodes of the new season on CBS then exclusively to Paramount+, probably as a come-on to subscribe to P+
  25. NBC seems to consider Zoey a streaming success for them, so with low linear numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if it did get transferred over to Peacock and live on for a few more seasons
