  1. I am so glad that someone finally told Leonard how awful his mother was! I loved him double-Dutch skipping at the end! Go Leonard! Go Leonard!
  2. Totally agree - regardless of "Harry's" opinion, men and women CAN be "just friends".
  3. That old guy was Orson Bean - I looked it up, he's 87! I remember him from "To Tell the Truth" back in the 60s, but he was also a regular on "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman". I'm glad Mitch was smart enough to realize that they didn't have anything planned for him, and he at least he got to talk to "Barbra".
  4. I laughed out loud when Jimmy was leaving his apartment and turned off the "bonsai trimming music".
  5. I like Tara and Johnny's commentaries during the skates; I like their observations and opinions. I can understand how they would grate on some people, though; Johnny is just over the top with his posing and hair/makeup, but it doesn't really bother me.
  6. This show is sooo funny, mostly because it's over the top and embraces it. Of course, they have a lot of craziness to work from; I don't know people like that, but I know some people who come pretty darn close! That was my favorite part!
  7. According to that article, the publisher allowed Warner Bros to use the song. Seems like Warner Bros made a good faith effort to get permission.
  8. I laughed out loud when Dianne Wiest / Joan bounced off the air mattress
  9. I know! As I was listening to them I was thinking "Boy, I must be old because they sound like they're torturing cats!" I'm glad to know that they were supposed to be bad! I believe Brolin's character used to be a pilot. Have they ever mentioned that he's a bit senile?
  10. I haven't heard much about "Angel From Hell" except those annoying promos. If they're hiding it from reviewers, that's not a good sign.
  11. I was afraid that at the end they would show Regina drunkenly crash the party. I'm glad they didn't go there. It is possible for someone who has substance abuse problems to be able to drink, but it's not something to be encouraged. And I didn't like that she drank in her friends' presence; not cool, Regina. I don't want to see Christy fail, but it would be realistic.
  12. Loved the episode. But maybe it's just me... if my significant other had been looking forward to something like that for a long time, and it fell on my birthday, I'd say "GO!" It's just a birthday; you can celebrate it on another day. (Of course, once Amy knew about her "gift" that reaction wouldn't have been likely!)
  13. Honestly, I don't know what Willie Ray and Clay were thinking. Why would they move to a city they don't like and have no friends? Leaving a beautiful house in a community they love, with better proximity to their other children? To be closer to Brenda, who could leave the city at any time to go to a better job for either herself or Fritz?
  14. I've been enjoying the Grand Prix coverage on Universal HD. It's so nice to see all the competitors. The Barcelona crowd has been appreciative of ALL the skaters - they're much better than the Russian spectators who only applauded their own skaters. I do think it's ridiculous that we have to wait until Dec 20 to see any of the men's and ladies' finals!
  15. Jessica dressed up as "Lady Chinese Santa with hair growing out of 2 moles" was the funniest thing I've seen this year!
  16. I just figured out the title of this thread... I thought it might be a reference to "Oz", the show about the prison in Baltimore (which I don't watch). Because, I just saw "The Wiz" which reminded me that in "The Wizard of Oz" it's the poppies that put people to sleep, and the snow wakes them up! Sorry to be picky...
  17. What kind of job does Sara have? Because for a single mom, she has a pretty nice place with a guesthouse in LA.
  18. Is consulting a fortune teller really a "thing" in the Chinese community? I thought the thing with DMX was great! I had no idea who he was, but I loved how they made him so un-stereotyped.
  19. In "Hoss and the Leprechauns", after Hoss hears a noise, leaves his room in his nightshirt(after grabbing his hat!), and falls down the stairs, Joe, Ben, and Adam are awakened by the noise. Joe is in his nightshirt, Ben is for some reason in his burgundy robe, and Adam... well we see that Adam is *gasp* NEKKID! At least he's not wearing a shirt. Many fantasies have been wrought from that little glimpse of bare shoulder. *blink* ... Back to business... We see Ben first running down the stairs in his robe and nightshirt, followed by Joe in his nightshirt, pulling on his boots. Adam brings up the rear; he has his pants on and is buttoning his shirt. I don't think we ever saw Adam in a nightshirt, but we saw him occasionally in that burgundy robe. Hoss is often seen in that white/grey checked nightshirt; it was probably the only one they made for him and probably wouldn't have fit many other characters!
  20. I worry about this too. It's like pro football in that the human body was not built to take that kind of punishment. (Never thought I'd compare figure skating with football!)
  21. Just to be practical - on TV, they want to get both heads in the shot. So either the adult needs to get lower, the child higher, or they need to sit on a couch or something.
  22. I liked seeing evidence that Jimmy can actually cook!
  23. It was something about New Orleans. Maybe "Grinding in the Big Easy... just got hard" ?
  24. I think the only regular left is Mitch Vogel (Jamie Hunter Cartwright). Here is his obituary in his local paper: http://www.wiltonbulletin.com/58921/david-canary-dies-at-77/ This is an obituary written by his family: http://www.wiltonbulletin.com/58885/obituary-david-canary-77-actor/ It says that memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, ALZ.org , the “David Canary Memorial Fund”
