  1. I really liked the "Black Nanny" character and am glad she's going to be around for a while!
  2. I like what Stuart said about Leonard and Penny - paraphrasing here: She loosens him up and he makes her think more deeply about issues. I think they're a cute couple that really care about each other. Who cares if initially it was Penny's looks that attracted Leonard?
  3. Well, just because Judd Hirsch is 81 doesn't mean Leonard's father is.
  4. I should know this, but just to clarify: When you say "a jump", do you mean flip vs axel vs lutz... or is a double lutz considered a different jump than a triple lutz or quad?
  5. Me too! Must be a regional thing... groom, best man, and ushers all file in from the front of the church to stand with the minister/whoever, the bridesmaids come down one at a time, then the maid of honor, then the bride and her father. It's been my experience that "rites of passage" - like wedding and baby showers, weddings, receptions, and funerals - are all different depending on what part of the country you live in.
  6. A "sturgeon" is a fish (caviar comes from one type). Charles Spurgeon was a famous preacher. I sure wouldn't saddle a baby with that name.
  7. I would too, sorta... but on the other hand I'm not sure I want to see it. I'm surprised the Baxter plot resolved itself in one episode. I'm glad they didn't drag it out.
  8. I have to say, the kids were just as funny as the adults in this episode!
  9. I don't think they said anything specifically, but I suppose there was a big rush to get "gay married" after it became legal in California, and the rush is over. I loved this episode! I don't have a problem with Clair getting some help; after all, Gloria had a nanny. I loved how she and Phil hugged at the end.
  10. It's not... I had Lasik and when I was still in the chair they had me look at a clock across the room. (Which I could see! Best money I ever spent!) If they wanted to show him blind, they could have said "eyelid surgery" or made up something. Lasik is common enough that they should know that. I was totally skeeved out by the possum. I had a possum die under my house, and yuk. And they are really scary; they have big long nasty teeth. But Amy and Jake and Terry were really great in this episode!
  11. I was on a sequestered jury once - just for a week, thankfully. After the trial I read the newspaper coverage, and I was amazed at (1) the information that was kept from the jury, and (2) parts of the trial that the media emphasized that the jury didn't even consider. I'll bet most lawyers will tell you that you never know what a jury is going to do.
  12. I think he would have killed them. He knew that DNA evidence would probably get him convicted, so he had to kill Rusty so he wouldn't testify in person about how he took the cap off his head. And he had to kill Brenda since she would be a witness to that murder. He was rattled and desperate. I wish she had killed the SOB. I hope someone eventually does, in a horrible horrible fashion.
  13. To celebrate their 200th episode, the cast of The Big Bang Theory visited Conan. Here's a link to some videos on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/teamcoco/search?query=big+bang By the way, Jim Parsons revealed he's allergic to cats. I can't imagine how awful it was to film his "Zazzy" cat episode.
  14. I'm glad to see Colleen back. Heather in Tyler's headlights was great; Tim really knew how to get her out of her funk. Heather was right; youtube dance lessons are fun!
  15. It's too bad they couldn't get Sheldon's mother to come to the party; I suppose the actress was busy, but I don't think they even mentioned her, did they?
  16. Jody appeared for only a couple episodes. She was a young drug and alcohol addict that Christy was sponsoring.
  17. I loved the episode - loved seeing all the guests. Their presence emphasized how Sheldon has changed over the years. Sheldon hugging Penny - not just letting her hug him, but hugging her back - was a real awww moment for me.
  18. I don't think Clair was making it shameful. They were both embarrassed, that's all. And I don't blame them; she probably was embarrassed FOR him; I know if I saw one of my teenage nephews like that, I would be embarrassed too. Not shocked; embarrassed.
  19. During the opening scene, with Pimento holding a knife to Jake's throat and all the cops yelling and pointing their guns at him, there in the background was Gina, texting away on her cell phone.
  20. Edie flushing all that crap wasn't funny to me. This is the first time I've been more irritated with her than her parents.
  21. Jessica was born to be a tennis mom. I'm glad she backed off when Billie Jean King (LOVE HER) said he would have to go away from home for further training. The "pog" plot line took me back... I had a couple nephews who were really into them. They must have had hundreds of them! I also thought it was just a thing to collect; I didn't know there was a game.
  22. Wow, that was crazy - just like a real telenovela!
  23. I'm not sure the new law is constitutional. Trying to change the legal definition of "bigamy" is a bit ridiculous. Basically, if you legally are married to more than one person, that's bigamy. "Purporting to marry" - what the heck does that mean? You either have a license or you don't.
  24. I've been wondering about this since the show started. It just seems odd to me (as a member of a family with boy/girl twins) that at this age they would share a room, especially since that house is so big. I know a lot of people find her funny, and she IS a lot of the time, but when she called Bow a "hybrid" I gasped. She's just horrible to Bow, and if I were her (Bow) I wouldn't put up with it; no matter how close Dre is to his mother he's MARRIED to Bow. I know, it's comedy... but it's just too much. She speaks Farsi AND she juggles!
