  1. My enjoyment of this show is tanking. The phoniness of the acts backstage watching their competitors and squealing with delight at how well they're doing. Tyra Banks, whom I previously liked, and her ham-handed hosting and pseudo hip-hop attitude. (And can we please stop with the silly is-it-or-isn't-it-her-crotch posts?) Mel screeching "whut joost 'APPENED!" Children with their entire careers in front of them whining about how "this is my DREAM!" The lure of a million dollars - paid out over 40 years. I enjoyed this much more early in its run when people like Howard Stern and Piers Morgan were the judges.
  2. Can't stand Mel B. Hate her stupid accent. Surely they can find someone better!
  3. Not thrilled, except for Darcy Lynne and Christian. America DIDN'T get it right when it came to Bello.
  4. Loved Bello, but I wondered about that piece of equipment he was so great on - how much did it cost? Is it his, or did he rent/borrow it from the circus inventory? I'm glad they brought him back. Darci Lynne deserves to go and go and keep on going through. About the parade Darci's town threw for her: did the producers stage that, or were they invited as guests in the hope of giving the town some publicity? I'm suspicious of everything connected with this show now Angelica . . . very talented kid, but good kid singers aren't uncommon and I'm tired of them. Was it her talent or her talent plus age that people were squeeing about? She'll still have a great voice a few years from now. I'd hate to see her ruin that voice by using it the wrong way. (Looking at you, Jackie Evancho, whom I could not stand.) All Trump comics are funny. This one was no more or less than the others and I've had it with them too. He'll go through, but I hope he doesn't. I hope Puddles and Christian make it. Preacher Hale didn't make me laugh as much as the first two times, but I'm still on his side.
  5. I simply cannot fathom how Helen, who grew up on Nantucket with the Hackett brothers, has such a heavy Southern accent, whereas Casey did not. I wish Crystal Bernard had gone on to other things after this show.
  6. Please explain to me: if Dan died in the series, how will they bring the character back into the family for the revival?
  7. This might clear up a thing or two. http://www.showbiz411.com/2017/07/31/exclusive-roseanne-revival-will-feature-gender-creative-9-year-old-son-of-darlene-and-david
  8. I had flashbacks to the Cooking (or Baking) with Tess episode, and I wondered briefly if that was Tess grown up. I expected Ina to do most of the decorating, then squeal that she did it all by herself.
  9. My favorite! I was horrified at first because it made fun of someone dying on his commute home, but now I just howl with laughter. Just some me time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGju9rkil9Q (Sorry if I posted the link wrong.)
  10. Hasn't anyone noticed that FN has new BC episodes? It will be about "Cooking Like a Pro" and the first episode is Sunday, May 28, at 11 AM on Food Network.
  11. I got the distinct impression from the Trump/Spicer sketch that this was the last time Melissa will be doing him, especially if Trump fires the poor guy. AidyB did a nice SHS, and certainly others in the cast can develop a Trump character. But that's just me. Sadly, I completely understood the point of the animal sketch. I can't explain it, but I get it. I was once told, very seriously, my animal is an aardvark.
  12. I luvs Dr. M and watch her show every day at midnight. But sometimes she begins a story with so much detail, I've lost interest by the time she gets to the meat of the issue.
  13. I did not recognize French Stewart. Which part did he play?
  14. Dingbat and dipstick belong together. May they spend the rest of their marriage making each other miserable. It's the only way they'll ever be happy.
  15. I am repulsed by $hil's reference to his wife as an "international skin care expert." She isn't. Not even close.
  16. This one looks like it will be a blast. It's one of those shows where stuff happens in the background that you can miss easily if you're not paying close attention. John Lithgow is always a hoot. I agree, Sherri Shepherd seems to have found her acting niche.
  17. Dogs and cats should not be fed each other's food because their nutritional needs are completely different. Dogs are omnivores and can eat anything. Cats are pure carnivores with very high metabolisms. They require diets high in protein and cannot process carbohydrates. The fact that everyone feeds them dry cat food is the reason so many wind up with kidney disease later in life. They also, like big cats in the wild, get their water from their food and not from bowls on the floor. They drink maybe 1/4 cup a day. The source of my information was a former vet who is a feline nutrition specialist. All of my cats had canned food as their main diet, with a little dry on the side and a bowl of water. They all lived long and prospered.
  18. I wondered if I am getting old, or if SNL is. Almost nothing was funny, and what was, was barely entertaining. I have no idea who Sturgill Simpson is, but Imma go looking for him. Even the cold open with the very predictable Trump sketch was disappointing. They have so much material . . . and didn't use it. Is SNL finally running out of steam? Do the current crop of comedy writers represent the best of what's out there? Are there too many performers, and why must we see the same ones all the time? My favorites are Leslie, Kate, Pete, and Michael.
  19. It started out well, then slowly hit the skids. I like the contestants, although I've never heard of half of them. Like Tyra. Ahnold's nephew doesn't say much, but doesn't seem like a jackhole. Thought Ahnold's insistence on being called "Governor" in the boardroom was obnoxious - I would have called him Governator. I've always liked CA despite the original host, who was the worst thing about it. I'll watch this season, especially when it finds its footing and its own voice. At least I hope it will.
  20. Love this show. It reminds me of life with my youngest brother, who died April 1st.
  21. Sooo when will the next season premiere?
  22. Hmph. Still mad about Poppycock. Always hated Evancho. but I remember her name. She won't last long before her voice gives out. I very much like Piff and Alondra and will root (vote) for them. I was appalled by the show's prodution values too. Why isn't it as obvious to the producers as it is to the viewers?
  23. I think Piff will be performing on Friday night on the show, "Msters of Illusion" on the ABC network, but don' quote me.
  24. What happened to George's wife? Are we supposed to forget about her? What about Brandon's wife? Did the Chief die in the line of duty? I like James Denton regardless of how aged he looks, and Martha is still wonderful. I fiind it hard to believe Cassie's store and the B&B earn enough money to maintain a fabulous house like Gray House. Other than that, I like the show and prefer it to the later movies in the series.
