Whoopi's a corporate bitch. If she wants the paycheck, she'll do what the suits tell her to do.

He said the glowing orb was one of several things that MIGHT happen, including the jug getting heavy or hot. None of them happened, which was why the jug's shattering (why else would it be in a box?) was so surprising to Heidi. It wasn't what she expected.

It's not Whoppi, it's Whoopi. It's such a tough name . . .

Future Co-Hosts Talk and Speculation: Musical Chairs
Lava VaVoom replied to mtlchick's topic in The View
I think Whoopie and Rosie were terrific moderators. Shows with BW in the main chair were weren't worth watching. I do hope WG will stay where she is, because she's unique and I love her "eff you" attitude. I think a panel with Whoopie, Joy, Margaret, Rosie, and a strong and intelligent conservative or two would be terrific, but that's in my world. -

Personally I love Mario Cantone, RogerfromOhio, but I don't know if I want to see him every day, unless he dials back his Liza/Judy impersonations. He was the best working with Joy. -

My two cents: this was not a hasty decision and it was not made by Walters. I believe the suits have known all along that this season has been a disaster. I believe they saw in Sherri what we did. I believe Jenny was tossed because she's a great guest, but not a strong enough co-host. I believe the addition of a male co-host, or hosts, will be an even bigger disaster. I believe Geddie's decision to drive the show to the right was a bad one. I will not miss him. I enjoy panelists with differing viewpoints, but there are better ways to achieve that than what they've been doing. Margaret Cho would be a great addition, now that Drop Dead Diva has wrapped production. I hope they consider her. I can't think of a single male co-host I'd like to see there every day. -
I really enjoyed Sherri when she was a frequent guest on the show, before she became a co-host. She was funny and endearing and I applauded when she was named to the panel. She has changed so much since then. The stupid has come out and been honed to a fine (AND LOUD!) point. This isn't the woman who was hired a few years back. I was on her side for a long time; not anymore. Jenny was also a charming and entertaining guest. She's not a disaster or the reason ratings have dropped, just too bland to be a co-host.

Seems to me I read somewhere months ago that the next season, not this one, would be the last. I think they got the bad news at the last possible moment, and had to scramble to bring the series to a close without making it a satisfying close. They spent six years developing the characters and the relationships, and then give us this crap? And most of the episode devoted to cases? Owen would not choose a Stacy as his life partner. We didn't see their twins because there was no time. Jane didn't sing at the end because developing a great musical number with her would have taken too much time and money, even if she just sang with Ian. Will Kim live happily ever after? I hope so. Terry too. I also hope Paul went back to wherever he came from, never to be heard from again. The plug was pulled and took them by surprise, and it showed. Way to give your loyal fans the finger, show. (Just for kicks and giggles, hop over to the DDD page on FB and see how many others are as disappointed as we are.)

And who's going to pay for all that? Not ME, Ms. Taxpayer. Will they get raises afterward to compensate them for all that gun training? I don't want my tax $$ to pay for gun-trained teachers, I want them to pay for better books and computers, and art, math ans science classes, etc. . . . Geddie thinks audience is dying for a conservative Bitsy replacement. Boy is he wrong. -
I'm betting that a certain BW is home muttering to herself that the "Year of Barbara" wasn't good enough to win an Emmy and blaming . . . Jenny, or everybody else.

That segment was intended to promote the power of forgiveness. That's all. -
I doubt it, because they have new mugs every season. The View mugs in the Fall will have the pictures of whatever hosts are there. I think it's just a design change and I HAVE seen other mugs without the hosts' faces. Egad - can you believe some people collect these things?? In other news, I can't believe no one has commented on the impressionist on this past week's America's Got Talent, who did spot-on impressions of Whoopi and Rosie. She was a hoot!

Jenny McCarthy: She Doesn't Want Kids to Get Vaccinated
Lava VaVoom replied to Lisin's topic in The View
Jenny is not responsible for the segment of the population that shrieks, "The gummint ain't gonna tell me how to raise muh kids!" and won't vaccinate because of that. -
Sherri looks like Xena, Warrior Princess from Hell in that outfit. Are we allowed to comment on the show in progress? That would have gotten you executed elsewhere.

Or else to brag about how her fans are begging her to come out of retirement. You KNOW she'll be on the show promoting this interview and will bask in the standing ovation Geddie will order for her. Who was that smug, awful cohost today?? -

Jenny was Playmate of the Year and used that as a springboard to acting and hosting jobs on TV. I first saw her on Wings, where she played Brian's beautiful but annoying girlfriend. -
You weren't wrong; that was Kevin. He was killed off early in the show in a most unpleasant way because he knew something he shouldn't.

Jenny McCarthy: She Doesn't Want Kids to Get Vaccinated

I watch everyday and have not heard her talk about her position on vaccines. I think BW and BG told her to dial it back for the show. -

To me it means if you take stupid advice from a pea-brain, then you deserve the consequences (although the kids don't), so shut up. -
All Episodes Talk: Let’s Talk About Dr Phil the Show
Lava VaVoom replied to Lola16's topic in Dr. Phil
We laugh at and sometimes feel sorry for the victims of catfish scammers, but yesterday I met a woman who lost all her money and her house to one of them. Her reason was "I thought he was for real." I asked her if he was from Nigeria, and she said no, he was an engineer in Morocco but she did meet someone online from Nigeria. She was smart enough to find other online victims of this guy, but not smart enough to hang on to her money. She was very lonely. -

Poppy was my favorite, but a close second was the Japanese dancer/acrobat who won in 2013. -
Plotline mirrors The Good Wife almost exactly. Boo! Didn't that medical team give up awfully easily? I noticed Stacy grabbed a bottle from the fridge, but I stopped paying attention and don't know if she drank from it or if it was not alcoholic.

I agree. I was on my fourth account in several years because I kept getting banned for ridiculous infractions of their "rules." What the hell was the "boards on boards" rule? No one was ever unbanned or had warnings removed from their profiles. To me the worst thing you can do is flame someone else, and I only saw that once on another thread. The mods let it go. After awhile, I began posting less. You can have your fingers slapped for only so many times before it becomes ridiculous and not worth the effort. I'll continue to play nice here, as I appreciate this opportunity. I can even tolerate warnings. But to shut threads down?? Silly. But I and others DID enjoy calling them out on another social networking site under my real name.
