  1. Or maybe Sal was the one with the ladyfriends coming to spend time with him when Sherri was working.
  2. Sarah Palin is not and never was a candidate for View co-host. If Rosie was given approval of future co-hosts, I doubt she'll approve the addition of a man to the panel because the nature of the show would change so much. I suspect a new and conservative co-host will not be a Bitsy clone. I'm hearing Abby Huntsman is in negotiations. She would be good.
  3. I have read a lot of offensive crap about Sherri on this site as well as others. I did not see anything wrong with that particular statement. I don't like her, but I think she's intelligent and talented and doing her best with her special-needs son. Sherri has filed for divorce in NJ, which has a different perspective on the surrogate's baby than CA, where Sal filed. In NJ the child is not considered hers because she has no genetic link to him. Sal is a golddigger, plain and simple, and like any golddigging troublemaker, deserves a good ass-kicking to the curb.
  4. The late Leonard Frey was the only student at Ted Baxter's Famous Broadcasters' School (Mary was the Dean of Women).
  5. I think Rosie would not have a problem coming back if Geddie was still there. They're not petulant, emotional high-school kids who don't want to sit next to each other in history, they're professionals who have moved on and outgrown their previous rancorous relationship. People do put things behind them in pursuit of a common goal. Neither do I see a problem with Rosie and Whoopi at the same table. I can see Rosie sitting in Walters' seat while WG continues as moderator. Rosie might very well be the one to pull Whoopi out of her coma and wake her up to become the intelligent, aware person her fans know she is, just to keep up with RO'D. Rosie is nothing if not a consummate professional with extensive successful talk show experience, and she would tread very carefully establishing herself in this reworked spot. She has been through a lot since she was co-host, and I think she's happier, healthier, more balanced and ready for this next challenge.
  6. By convincing a substantial number of non-critical thinkers (not accusing Christians) that the US has imaginary monsters under the bed, certain real monsters are slowly buying Congress and changing our American way of life to suit their interests.
  7. If Rosie comes on, Palin would be terrified of her. She never speaks to anyone smarter than she is.
  8. She twirled all right. Her boobs were still twirling as she was heading for her seat.
  9. Sarah Palin is not a serious contender. The idea was hers and hers alone.
  10. She did not mention her problems or blame anyone for any reason. She have full credit to BW for the expansion of her career and acknowledged the importance of the "Year of Barbara" and her retirement, and said she did not want to divert attention from her this year. She simply stuck to her story that seven years is a Biblical cycle of completion and now it's time for her to move on. Even if it was 100% BS, it was a gracious public statement.
  11. That woman has a way overly-inflated sense of her own importance. Nobody listens to her except a small, dedicated audience on Fox News.
  12. They ALL think they deserve to be a star and nothing less. And the idiot screaming audience agrees with them.
  13. Sherri is filing for divorce in NJ, which apparently does not recognise the surrogate's child as hers (it wasn't her egg that met with Sal's sperm). He's filing in CA, which has different laws and DOES recognise her as the mother. This will be fascinating as it unfolds. Once she's off the View, will we still be able to discuss her and her issues here?
  14. Frankly, babe, I give a shit. Just doing my small part to combat teh stupid.
  15. I vote to change it because precision when writing is important to me. It grates to see "Whoppi" because it's wrong. At the very least, let me take target shots at those who continue to misspell her name.
  16. This comes from Sherri's thread, and was said by susieq147. I wanted to respond to it, and thought my response belonged here: I don't remember ever hearing that the View's audience was mostly liberal. I am, and I would love to hear regular intelligent, thoughtful, reasoned responses from a conservative with a brain. Bitsy wasn't that person. People didn't like HER, not her viewpoints.
  17. Isn't that wonderful!! I wish them both much happiness. http://parade.condenast.com/311598/michelechollow/where-did-animal-planet-star-jackson-galaxy-get-married/ (hope that worked)
  18. I don't. But at what point did ABC decide she had to go? And what finally pushed them over the edge after seven years? Did her Q rating drop after her marriage to Sal?
  19. The show did go in another direction this season: they dropped all political discussions and focused on fluff and celebrity garbage. Also the whole season was Geddie obviously trying out a string of conservative co-hosts, male and female. Not worth watching. I liked it originally because it was the viewpoints of several individuals on topics I found interesting, not the standard celebrity crap which is all over the place. I frequently fell asleep during the show this year.
  20. I could not stand Meredith Viera and never watched when she was on. The show became must-see TV when Rosie was hired and they discussed politics and topics that interested me. Rosie's high intelligence and obvious passion for certain subjects kept me glued to the set (or TWOP). I've always like Whoopi (note: Whoopi, NOT WHOPPI, fercrissake) , so I kept watching when Rosie left. The show was interesting in those days; it started sliding downhill when Bits obviously became Geddie's little pet and Joy was told to take it easy on her. It's gone downhill quickly ever since. They can re-work it all they want; lightning does not strike twice in the same place. Put it and us out of its and our misery.
  21. Babsy's head would spin into space if Bonnie became a co-host. But since she's ExecProd, that will never happen.
  22. Or Sherri could have a personal assistant to follow her around and do stuff for her, like post photos and tweet.
  23. Sleeveless dresses, short skirts, crossed legs and vapid smiles are all Miss Bits was good for. Who cares what they think of her performance? She's a Fox New Blonde.
