  1. In the Next Generation movie they said he moved to Australia. Although his Aussie son looked like him with the dark hair and square jaw, they were as he himself put it is "different as night and day" personality wise. I can see Adam being a strict dad and his son being a wild rebel.
  2. If they end up making deserts interesting again then this really will be the best show!
  3. I can't believe how great the sets are. Not since the OT have I been impressed with sets in live action Star Wars and I've been trying to figure out why. The prequels did have physical sets but they were just "meh" and I think it's because they paled next to the more imaginative digital environments. Most of the sets sequels and D+shows were mostly derivative of the old movies.
  4. "As I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death..." Where does the time go? Man, that song just takes me back to 1995.
  5. I recently watched an old Perry Mason from 1960 "The Case of the Mythical Monkeys", and his client falsely accused of murder looked so familiar. It wasn't until 15 minutes in I realized it was Louise Fletcher. It was so strange seeing her young and innocent! The only non evil role I seen her in was in Neil Simon's Sam Spade parody "The Cheap Detective" with Peter Falk.
  6. No offense but f@#k Timm. He had it coming.
  7. I used to think it made more dramatic sense that SpaceBeth was the real one and the Beth who stayed with the family was the clone. Now to me it would be just as potentially tragic if not more if they reveal SpaceBeth was the clone. The one to have experienced and done so much, to have the greater life and achieved her full potential.
  8. Crasher from Challenge of the Gobots was a female robot. I thought it was a male robot who was effete and had lips.
  9. So after seeing Part III now as the "Coda" and epilogue to Parts 1 and 2 I can judge it for what it is instead of what it isn't. Yes the ending of Part II was already a fitting tragic end, but Michael was still relatively young. He still had time to redeem himself and make up for the past. It was possible, and what better way by saving the pope's life? His fatal sin was making Vincent head of the Corleone family. Instead of going legitimate like he wanted he ensured after his death that the family would continue into crime causing more pain and suffering and he did it for selfish reasons. He did it to save his daughter but he could have done it differently. He could have told Vincent "If you want to be with Mary, you have to give up crime." Instead he told him "If you want to be head of the family, you have to give her up." He wanted Vincent away from her AND to help him win against his enemies. So it was fitting that Michael be punished with her death.
  10. According to CHiPs, motorcycle cops DO hangglide on their time off as well as go disco dancing and various water sports!
  11. My first exposure to Native Americans was Spirit from the GI JOE cartoon. Besides thinking that all indigenous people have pet eagles the show gave my childhood self the false impression of the extensive military use of hang gliding in combat!
  12. The Rick from our Morty's original universe was one that abandoned his wife and Beth and never returned and killed our Rick's family. Our Rick went to our Morty's universe to wait for that Rick and kill him. I like that the family really is a "found family" as in a group of people not technically related but who stay together like a real family. The only ones technically related are Summer and the Beths and it's not clear which one is real or a clone!
  13. If it had been a sentimental ending then it would be false because the BB/BCS universe but I don't think the protagonist getting life in prison is sentimental. It's a romantic ending which is appropriate because it was a surprisingly romantic show. I love how the black and white was used to show the dreariness and banality of Saul's new life in Omaha and then Kim's life in Florida. Then it turns into this perfect film noir scene with their them smoking together in prison. They really became like the old movies characters they watched. My big fear when the show started was it might taint the original Breaking Bad but it enhanced and enriched it.
  14. Loved the finale. Jimmy's a romantic. The man married young had we know had over the top reactions to two of his divorces. If you don't think he would have done what he did at the end then you weren't paying attention the past 6 seasons. He may have done it for personal reasons but it also benefitted society. We were reminded one last time what an absolute menace Saul Goodman can be! Only seven years out of a minimum security prison he would have come out more dangerous than before. I read a great thing online that said BCS made Walter White a footnote in Jimmy and Kim's story which would have really pissed him off!
  15. Just realized Filipe is essentially Starscream.
  16. I already knew the solution from the '78 DOTN so I just watched this one to see how they handled the love triangle drama. Jackie, the "bitter ex" is always enjoyable to me. The Bouc death was a surprise. I never feel like going on a train after seeing an adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express but seeing any version of Death of the Nile always makes me want to go on a riverboat!
  17. How wise your hospital roommate's conversation is will be inverse to the chances of them surviving their operation.
  18. The one time the different groups of characters didn't come together to compare notes and come up with a plan is naturally when they lose! The Hawkins gang tried their best but without El's powers or Hopper's practicality they were doomed. RIP Eddie. When he was dying I was tearing up but Max was dying I was pissed! "Are you kidding me Duffer Bros? You're going to do this after what we went through Episode 4?! Happy El brought her back Sadie, Caleb, Millie, Gaten and Noah were just phenomenal.
  19. Going online after the finale it seems some fans have collective amnesia since they forgot Tarkin not Vader was the one who ordered the Death Star to destroy Alderaan!
  20. The line besides "I'm sorry Anakin, for all of it." that had me tearing up the most was "He is my own." I get the gripes some people had about some aspects about the show of the but despite the flaws the good far out weighed the bad for me. The show had the emotional points I wanted and gave me some I didn't expect. Ewan really gave it his all. A satisfying conclusion and I even wouldn't mind another season.
  21. The scenes with Suzie's family illustrates the thing I love most about the show is it feels every important character is the star of their own movie that just happens to intersect with each other!
