2/5, Tuesday and Wednesday. Was hoping to finish over .500 after being 2/3 at midweek, but didn't happen 😕

What is Books talking about? Who ever said 'sin is no fun'? Of course the pleasures of the flesh are tempting and fun, that's why they're called the pleasures of the flesh! He seems to think he's made some huge discovery that, "there is an allure to sin." The conflict between good and evil is as old as time itself, largely because being bad can be fun! Is he under the impression that he's making some revelation? Obviously this guy fancies himself as 'deep', but you can't get your ankles wet in him.

I love The Rock as an SNL host. He's always game for anything, and is funny. I've never seen any of his movies. Action/adventure isn't my 'thing' 😏

Tonight, one of the Kal Penn episodes is being rerun, and Roy tomorrow. Not sure about Thursday. If the strike isn't over by next week, I assume we'll get more South Park at 11. Because the 19 hours a day they currently show it isn't enough. I hope Dulce gets to do the rest of her week. It's not her fault there's a strike!

Even though Bill was fawning during the Musk interview, apparently there were those behind the scenes who felt less so. At one point, they ID'd him with the title, 'Chief Twit, Twitter', under his name!

NBC is rerunning the show on Sunday night from 7-9 p.m.

1/5 with a * for Friday, which was an instaget, so a strong finish 😒 SMH when Tuesday's answer was revealed, but Magnum PI was just never on my radar, even though I remember it was filmed in HI.

2/5 with a * for Wednesday. That Meta clue was a bit unfair, considering nobody calls Facebook by that name. It still comes up as Facebook, and the search engine on the page itself still says 'Search Facebook'. It doesn't say Meta anywhere (except on the bottom in small print). I say boo on that clue.

Those BK ads with the horrible singer always have me diving for the remote. So annoying. And I love their 'spicy' burger, which is a regular burger with a couple of slices of jalapeno thrown on it. That's a pretty complicated recipe, if I want one, I'll have to go to BK, I doubt I'd be able to make it at home 😑

Not sure where to put this, thought here was the best 'fit'. I recently saw the Golden Girls episode where Dorothy dreams she's on Jeopardy!, and realized that she pulls a Clavin! I never noticed that before. Granted, it's a silly segment because it's Dorothy's dream, but she's way ahead going into FJ, wagers everything, and loses. It got me thinking, did this happen pre-Cheers? So I looked it up. Nope, Cliff was first. The Cheers episode, "What is...Cliff Clavin?", aired on Jan. 18, 1990, and the GG ep, "Questions & Answers", on Feb. 8, 1992. So 'pulling a Clavin' won't have to be changed to 'pulling a Zbornak'!

I'm enjoying Jordan as host, but I did find it interesting that he turned an interview into a field piece.

Caught the last few minutes of "Who Let the Dogs Out" yesterday. It's always so strange to see Melissa Leo playing such a scumbag, right after several years of being a detective on Homicide. I also liked the line from their lawyer, when talking with Schiff, and saying something like, "My clients aren't interested in jail time." They're not "interested"! Adam was unamused...

Really enjoyed the Ben McKenzie interview. It's a topic I don't know a lot about, and he explained things in a clear, easy-to-understand way. Everyone I know is always saying what an a-hole Piers Morgan is, but when I see him interviewed, I usually agree with most of what he says. I'm a Katie Porter fan, but in this episode, she was just kind of there.

2/5, Monday and Thursday. Was relieved to get Monday; after last week's shutout, at least that wouldn't happen again! Do I get half a star for Nelson Mandela? At least I knew he wasn't from Germany!

I can't believe they're thinking of 'going there' with Abby and Neil. Boss/employee relationships are always dicey, but a judge and her assistant? That's, like, super-mega inappropriate. Not to mention really unethical for Abby. I hope she turns Neil down gently, and settles down with her goofy BF so I can maintain some respect for her.

I was thinking the same thing. It's always nice to see Jon, but what was the purpose of that visit? There didn't seem to be one. It also gave the appearance of him promoting Roy as the show's new host, which is inappropriate, given that the other correspondents have yet to get their shot at the desk. Unless he's going to show up for all of them...

I didn't find that bit funny, either. It felt like an inside joke that had nothing to do with me, but that I was forced to be a part of. Jost and Che should prank each other on their own time, IMO.

Sununu was horrid. Sununu: Trump tried to overthrow American democracy and is a bad person. Also Sununu: If Trump is the Republican nominee in '24, of course I'll vote for him. No idealism. No convictions. Just ambition.

Stephen was downright giddy last night! He is a performer, and sometimes acts excited over things he doesn't really care about. But it's obvious when he's busting his buttons with happiness, and last night, the buttons were flying! He was barely able to control his glee during the monologue! It was nice to see, after so many years of frustration.

I loved Classic Sports! I didn't have it when it first came on, but my parents did, and I'd watch it for hours when I visited! It was sold to ESPN in '97, and became ESPN Classic, and also became totally worthless. It was nothing like the original channel. ESPN Classic went off in late '21. I'd love to see Pop-Up Video again!

Back to 2/5 this week. Thu and Fri, again. Nearly got a * for both, but not quite...
