  1. Also agreed that Schneider came across as a massive tool, but not a predator. While watching, I kept waiting for one of the kids to tell a story about how he had preyed on them, and it never came. Maybe he's bent out of shape about how badly Nick comes across, but he was in charge of these shows. He could have easily changed the toxic atmosphere, but instead, encouraged it.
  2. I never, ever, go barefoot. Outdoors it's shoes or sneakers, and indoors, flip-flops or slippers, depending on the temperature. Never barefoot, except in the shower or bed. It genuinely makes me uncomfortable to see anyone on TV going barefoot.
  3. The only episodes Start TV hasn't been showing is a two-parter that was the last two eps of S3, 'It's Not Just a Word.' As is evident from the title, it's all about the n-word. In fact, 'n-word' must have just been coming into common usage, because that itself is debated, with Rene not seeming to be a big fan. When Start began running this show, they obviously made the decision that they would bleep the n-word. Since in these two eps it's said over and over, they probably figured it's pointless to air something where half of it is bleeped. It's kind of shocking how common the n-word still was on TV in the late 90s; I don't remember it being so ubiquitous on this show, but it is. ME's vile Uncle Jimmy alone utters it at least once every time he appears. I don't remember being shocked by that at the time. It was apparently still considered normal. 'It's Not Just a Word' is on the toob of U, and is highly recommended for fans who haven't seen it. It fills in some blanks, like Kelly having her baby, and the demise of Jimmy, and how ME manages to get the last word on their relationship.
  4. Start TV has begun doing show marathons on Sundays, and tomorrow will feature Any Day Now.
  5. The de-lickable de-lectable cat treat spots I keep seeing are kind of unsettling. It's kind of weird how the woman is on the phone telling her SO to get some treats, as the cats pace around her, and she's like, "Hurry!" The way they're milling around, it's like she's afraid they'll eat her if they don't get their treats soon! I'm waiting for a follow-up commercial where the guy comes home to a pile of bones on the floor, and the cats look at him, like, hey, it's your fault, you should have gotten home quicker!
  6. A multiple, finally, 2/5! Wed & Fri. Was pretty confident of The Hindenburg, but not positive. Rainier was a guess based on knowing Puyallup is in WA. I'll take it! For anyone who missed it, there was a very interesting episode of NOVA back in '21 called, 'Hindenburg: The New Evidence', which is highly recommended. Really fascinating how it lays out exactly how it all played out, and how with even one link in the chain missing, the disaster wouldn't have happened. There's also newly discovered footage, taken from a different angle than the film we're so used to seeing.
  7. Good vintage rerun last week, and for once, it actually was somewhat vintage, being from Feb. of 2020. Ru Paul was a great host, they should have him back. The skit with him reading to the kids at the library had me LOLing! Who could have guessed the hidden meanings in those books! It's always interesting to see anything from early '20, with the world about to change drastically, and none of us the wiser...
  8. That squirrel incident was ridiculous. I can see Carrie letting out a surprised little shriek, but this was a full-throated, blood-curdling scream. And then Big shows up. What an episode. I was never a huge Aidan fan, but he sure put up with a lot of sh!t from high-maintenance Carrie.
  9. My first experience with jury duty was kind of brutal. Literally took all day, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Everyone was seated in the courtroom, a big crowd of people, and was questioned by the judge in groups. I was in the very LAST group called. Had to spend the entire day listening to all the excuses people made up to try to get out of serving (some of which were downright comical). I was chosen, was sworn in, and told that there would definitely be a trial. This was a drug case, the third strike in a three-strikes situation, so there would be no plea deal. Then, the night before the trial was to begin, I got a phone call saying the defendant...accepted a plea, and the trial was off. Never got an explanation. Since then, I've been summoned three more times in two different states. Was told to call the night before and check if I needed to show up. All three times, I was told I wouldn't be needed, and I had fulfilled my obligation.
  10. Married with two daughters. Not that it stopped him from trying to bed every woman he met. Henry was a bit more selective, but also had zero problem breaking his marriage vows. The show definitely changed tone after the first three seasons. The philandering-and-not-shy-about-showing-it Trapper and Henry, were replaced with the happily married B.J. and Potter, who often referenced their wives. And there was also the increasing sanctimoniousness of Hawkeye, of course.
  11. Ugh, that was exceptionally low, even for Ma Riz. And what did she think would happen, that the police department would wait a few days, and then figure, 'huh, we never heard from Jane, guess she's not coming back', and drop it? And that Jane would just drop it? It made zero sense, and made Ma look worse than she already did. If that's possible.
  12. Do Jingle and Books not know that Gibs is a strict, uber Catholic? I thought their belief system doesn't abide that? Maybe because he's conservative, and famous, Mr. and Mrs. Books give him a pass.
  13. When it comes to wine, don't give Dulce none of that dry shit!
  14. Victoria is the real wild card in this tournament, and I wouldn't mind seeing her win. Even though the others have far more game experience than she does, she has proven that she's smart AF, and fast AF! I think she'll give all the pros a hard time. It should be fun to watch!
  15. Another big goose egg, 0/5 🤮 Was pretty confident in Riddle of the Sphinx on Monday, and Isle of Dogs on Wednesday. That's as close as I got...
  16. Same here. I'm less than an hour outside of totality, was expecting a nice show, and was disappointed. It barely got dark at all. Even the birds didn't seem upset! I hate to trash talk Mother Nature, but was expecting better 🙃
  17. Broke the 1/5 streak, but in the wrong direction! 0/5 🤮
  18. Another opossum fan here! They visit my yard frequently at night. I think the little furballs with rat tails are adorable!
  19. 1/5, saved from an 0-fer by Friday, again.
  20. UGH, that Breyer 'interview', which wasn't much of an interview, really. The first segment was lots of word salad. Rarely have I heard someone talk so much, yet say so little. When Stephen said they had to take a break, I thought, great, maybe when Breyer returns, he'll have even less to say. The second half was him defending SCOTUS, I think; not sure, because again, talking a lot, saying virtually nothing. Stephen looked like he was getting a little impatient, himself, at times. Must be frustrating to have someone dance around every question you ask, and refuse to give a straight answer. I definitely won't be reading Breyer's book. judging from that interview, he has absolutely nothing to say.
  21. Austin certainly was different during last night's game, nowhere near as annoying as I found him during his winning run. Yogesh was really toned down, too. These guys must have been told how off-putting they came across, and made some changes. At least they listened to the criticism! Austin wasn't irritating at all...except for the hair; that uncombed look isn't 'cool', it's just shabby, IMO. Amy was a wrecking crew, as usual. Austin is an extremely good player, and she left him in the dust.
  22. Thanks to Rosetta Stone - which was a guess! - for saving me from another donut. 1/5.
  23. IIRC, PK Ryan got FJ wrong, and whined about the clue being confusing. The show relented, and had him back. I don't remember the clue, but I do recall getting it right, and disagreeing that it was written in a confusing manner.
  24. I, too, would appreciate any direction anyone can give about where to go in the future, should this forum get shut down (for as yet unclear reasons). As for being grateful, I'm always grateful to read all the DELICIOUSLY DANK comments here! You people are DANGEROUSLY DROLL!
