I thought I was the only one grossed out by the 'oozing' spots. There are quite a few, so I figured everyone but me must find them appealing. Nice to know I'm not alone! When they press down on some sandwich and the sauce or mayo comes oozing out? UGH. So unappetizing. If I was hungry, I'm not anymore, which is not the effect food advertising is supposed to have.

That stupid Jardiance ad is carpet bombing the channels I watch lately. It seems to be on in every break. It's really annoying in that it goes against the golden rule of theater, something like, if a gun is introduced in the first act, someone must use it by the final act. Don't sing about the 'big story to tell', then say nothing about that story. Irritating, and stupid. And these singing/dancing ads are all annoying, a big tune-out factor for me. Especially the ones where animals are doing so. Hey advertisers, once and for all: Animals cannot speak!! Nor can they sing or dance!!! It ain't the least bit cute to watch.

Catchy Comedy binges for August - 8/5-6: The Dean Martin Celebrity Roast; 8/12-13: The Honeymooners; 8/19-20: The Monkees; 8/26-27: Full House. Decades used to run GS, but it was dropped when the network rebranded itself.

Murder, She Wrote is being added to the schedule, following this weekend's marathon. Two episodes will air daily from 9-11 a.m. (ET), and a single episode at 4 p.m. Dr. Quinn and Touched By an Angel are both cut back to one episode from 6-8 a.m., and Any Day Now is moved to 8 a.m.

It gave the impression of a dog chasing the car situation; he wouldn't know what to do with the car if he actually caught it. Hormone treatments were already getting widespread by the time The Golden Girls debuted in '85. In fact, there was a joke about it in an early episode. The house was broken into, and Rose thinks it was probably someone looking for drugs. Dorothy answers, "We have Maalox and estrogen. How many junkies have gas and hot flashes?" Echoing the Marion Mercer love! I first saw her at a young age, on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, and many times after, and she was always funny (MH, MH was also my first exposure to Martin Mull, Dabney Coleman, and Mary Kay Place. Quite a petri dish of young talent that show was). It's A Living was a solid show. Nothing spectacular, but always good for a few laughs. These days it's just as fun to watch for the absolutely ridiculous 80s clothes and hair, which are on prominent display!

That stupid Navage commercial where they ask, why is everyone talking about Navage and nasal irrigation? My answer to the ad is, not everyone is talking about it, you are. You're the only one I EVER hear talking about it.
