  1. Decades binges for January - 1/7-8: The Ed Sullivan Show; 1/14-15: Family; 1/21-22: Crazy Like a Fox; 1/28: Honey West; 1/29: Burke's Law.
  2. I like how no one can figure out what that thing is. If TLC is still looking to get a Duggar on the air, a suggestion: instead of "Name That Tune", how about "Name What You Think It Is That Jingle and Books Just Cooked!"
  3. More words of wisdom from Books. I think this tosser would be the perfect person to teach me about righteousness.
  4. 2/5. Thursday was an instaget, even though I've never seen the movie.
  5. I can't imagine doing that much imbibing in the middle of the afternoon, but Day Drinking with Seth is always fun to watch! Lizzo is a great drinking buddy. Wag the Bag! You call me bitch a hundred more times, and we're gonna have a problem!
  6. My favorite line came in the five-to-one sketch: "My little girl! My little, menopausal girl!"
  7. Does anyone remember a nighttime soap called Pasadena? I thought it was absolute cheesy goodness, but only lasted a few episodes in the fall of 2001.
  8. Don't you mean 'trophee'? Books, who from his posts, seems to spend most of his time taking pictures of himself eating at trendy places, and taking pictures of himself shopping for trendy shoes, is going to teach me about 'righteousness'? Ok...
  9. "Lows in the Mid-Eighties" is like my comfort food! Karen at the bar: "Tears, booze...I love the holidays!"
  10. Decades binges for the rest of the year - 12/10-11: Green Acres; 12/17-18: Early Edition; 12/24-25: Carol Burnett & Friends; 12/31-1/1: The Twilight Zone (50s/60s series).
  11. Like others here, I'm a total night owl, and have been since childhood! Olives for me are a love/hate situation. Love black olives, hate green ones. This week was the opposite of last week, when I knew Mon-Wed, but missed Thu and Fri. 2/5.
  12. I noticed that lately Laff is showing the same episodes. Every time I turn it on, it's like, Harry is teaching night school again?? Now they've started running Christmas movies in that time slot, and will be for the next month. Maybe by the time the holidays are over and they're back to their regular schedule, they'll have found the 'missing' NC seasons. I must say, though, I can't get enough of Connubial Fusion! That plotline cracks me up every time. The scene where a bunch of people from a showing of the film, all dressed in costume, is brought into the court room, is one of my favorites of the series. Especially the woman dressed like Christine, who starts imitating her! Still funny after 30 years!
  13. HLN is running a TWW marathon all weekend.
  14. Was 3/3 after Wednesday's game, and was thinking maybe this week would be the one for that elusive 5/5! But, alas, was shut out the rest of the week, so, 3/5. While not perfect, at least it's a nice recovery from last week's big biscuit. The TOC was rough, FJ-wise.
  15. Loved the big, sweet smile that broke out on Amy's face when her FJ wager was revealed! No insult to tonight's contestants, but it will be a bit of a letdown to get back to regular games. I was hoping Sam would win yesterday just to force a game 7!
  16. Bring in more chairs and more pies! 0/5.
  17. Jon often seems to possess a weird combination of cynicism and naivete. I wasn't expecting so much of the interview to be taken up with that conversation. On a totally different note, I thought it was interesting that Jon, a lefty, played the drums right-handed.
  18. Learning all there is to know about the Shilling Game! Gonna get my share of the Shilling Game!
  19. I knew Tom Tom Club was going to be a TS, but it was still kind of depressing.
  20. Just yesterday, I was wondering where Louis was, and looked it up. I'm surprised they haven't said anything on the show. They talked about it when Jon had Covid.
  21. I was a little kid during Watergate, but I know John Dean when I see him. That was a really surprising TS, since Dean has been a public figure for his entire adult life. It's not like he disappeared after Watergate. ITA with those who dislike the tourney being called a 'best of seven'. It's really not a 'best of' anything, it's whoever gets to three wins first. When Ken says 'best of seven' it's like sandpaper on my eardrums.
  22. 1/5. 1/1 on Monday, 0-fer the rest of the week. I first heard of the Sword of Damocles as a tiny tot, while watching the 3 Stooges (yes, they can be educational)!
  23. My brother mentioned recently that a friend of his had Covid. I expressed my sympathy, and he was like, meh, he's already had it twice, it's no big deal! So there is that attitude out there. Amy did a great job. I've never found Chappelle funny, and, adding in his crass remarks of late, have no desire to watch him next week.
