Angela & Michael: Totin' Eggs in Powder Kegs
Lurk replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
The way she sounds when she talks and the way she moves her mouth, her teeth seem to be big or very ill fitting. -
I'm guessing they're a lot like the Paparazzi Jewelry lives. I think those 2 companies are what most of the memes came from. *holds up product with other hand behind it and moves closer/further from the camera to get focused*

Robyn Brown: She wanted the family, but got stuck with the man.
Lurk replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Just saw a piece about the 2023 Tech tradeshow. This would help Robyn out immensely! https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/loreal-brow-magic-eyebrow-printer-ces-2023-news/ "You don’t expect a beauty company like L’Oreal to announce a printer, but at CES 2023, that’s exactly what happened. Except, the L’Oreal Brow Magic won’t be used to print boring documents, instead it prints eyebrows. What’s more, it uses augmented reality to help ensure the eyebrows it prints are exactly right for your face." -

And almost walking into the light with Covid. -
Didn't they show another beach that was secluded and Sandy vetoed that in favor of the other beach with trees? (and horses and dogs and people and cars and poop)

S02.E02: The Weigh-In Is The Hardest Part
Lurk replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in 1,000 Pound Best Friends
My TLC schedule on the cable guide has been wrong since Friday (at least). You'll have to check the channel at the time the show is supposed to be on and see. I don't regularly watch this show, but I just set it to record whatever shows are on during prime time and see what I get. The recordings from last night were the proper show, the guide listings were not correct. -
A commercial I saw at some point in the evening on TLC for a new show coming out got me thinking. Kody said that Meri was free to find another man so maybe he's looking to do a crossover with this new show "Seeking Brother Husband"??

Worst Cooks In America - General Discussion
Lurk replied to Aethera's topic in Worst Cooks In America
I can't with this group of "recruits". We always snark that contestants or participants on reality shows are just after influencer clout so I guess they thought we want to see these people. The theatrics and overemoting, each trying to be the funniest, loudest, most noticed..... -
Scripted shenanigans? You know there's always a character cast that waffles on coming or not. All to create drama.
-
My cable guide had other episodes listed, not the Tell-All. I noticed that yesterday as well. I'm not sure if it was all channels or just TLC when I was looking for something to run as background noise.

What you say does make sense that it was Amy's "half" of the farm. Some article about the farm sale mentioned the total property was 109 acres and what was listed was the house (and other "buildings") and 16 acres. I thought Matt got the larger parcel of land because most of it was undeveloped and they split it on $$ value rather than acreage? I still think she's peeved about the $$ amounts. I don't know if it as ever mentioned what Zach offered, but it was based on what was paid to Amy for it. IMO in the case of a divorce it may be someone feeling like their personal value is tied to the $$ amount of property settlement. Like the one buying out the other only thinks they are worth $, yet they think just the property is worth $$$$ if they were selling it.
-
If zillow is correct, the farm sold for $975,000 in 2020 and was listed for $4m in 2022. I think that is what's got Amy in a snit. Worth so little when she was selling, yet worth 4x as much only 2 years later? I know Covid ended up raising real estate prices, but I don't think 4x as much. I doubt the housing demand for farm property would have increased so much more than "normal" single-family housing in "town".

I can't watch this without my mind wandering and autofilling his ranting.... "The sacrifices SHE made! Like a knife to the thyroid........ WASTED!!"

The contestant after her final puzzle trying to twerk on Pat. Yeeeeesh! 😬
-
Speaking of peen size.... I could have sworn she said 8-9 in her original shots. Then on afterparty, she said 6-7? I know that in the timeline of the show being discussed on afterparty, they hadn't been married yet. But the time of the filming they are. So why the change in what size she wanted? Shrinkage at the altar?

90 Day: Caribbean Love

I was thinking those little people from the old Fisher Price toys. -
I am guessing her brain short circuited when they had to cover themselves in sand.

The overly dramatic wailing and flailing and crying. The hysterics. She did that type of thing on her show. Although, the things they were doing were actually kind of scary and she totally botched that helicopter fall. I thought they gave too much time to some people and we didn't see some others much at all.

I was looking to see if there was a discussion thread for the show and didn't find one. Kate performed about like you would expect.

Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
Lurk replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Oh yes... the drunken or drugged sounding slurs. Thanks for the reminder! She doesn't pronounce the "ing" but I think the one that has driven me to drink is Christine and her over-prouncing them like "eenguh" with a really hard G sound and the longer eee sound for the I. Maybe she's doing that to mock Robyn? -
Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
Lurk replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I wish they'd get some pronunciation for dummies. It rilly makes me fill like they are overpronounceenguh sometheenguhs and leaveenguh out other letters completely. I could just be makeenguh a big dill out of notheenguh. -
I agree with your assessment on the age deal. Used to be people would either get married after high school or after graduating college. That made 2 groups: those that got married around 18-21 and those 24-28. So I don't see 25 being that young.

90 Day Fiance: Love In Paradise Live Chat
Lurk replied to Frozendiva's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Other Spinoffs & Specials
She really was in la la land. She should have realized Sherlon checked out a long time ago. She even said tonight that he changed after she told him she was pregnant. That was Red Flag #1, Clue #1, Giant Flashing Neon Sign #1 that he wanted nothing to do with her after that. Him admitting he is addicted to women is #2..... eta - But still she has Mom come take care of Odin so they can rekindle. -
The deck hands playing tennis not only broke the 4th Wall, but they may have damaged his gonads in the process.

I know they all used to say the "I want the family" years ago. But during the pandemic, I thought Robin had some talking head about she wanted the polygamy, not monogamy. If she wanted monogamy she'd have married someone else or stayed married to someone else? Anybody else remember something like that or have I been watching this show too long?
