Congrats, kalamac! That's awesome! And Aja you do not suck. I repeat, YOU DO NOT SUCK! Thanks Jay. I think the most difficult thing is that the language keeps changing and sometimes the wrong thing is said, but with the right intentions. Like transgender vs transgendered. Language has been evolving so quickly sometimes it feels difficult to keep up. But it's always a good thing to have open communication and understanding, so thank you!

Perhaps the off topic talk of peen/boobs would be better in the Gender in Television. Or the Gender in Movies. It's an interesting discussion, but it doesn't seem to belong here. Thanks!

We're so glad that there are so many fun and interesting conversations here, but sometimes it becomes hard to remember what topic one is in. And it feels awkward to step in to talk about confusing commercials when that's not the subject of the current conversation. Not embarrassing at all. We already bought our tickets for Sunday May 8, which happens to be Mother's Day. Which is the best way I can think of spending the day. I don't want to be in a crowded restaurant or have flowers that will wilt. I want to be in a theater with other fans seeing this. And, I should also note, my mom (65) is also joining us--she's totally team Tony. Happy Mother's Day to us!!

That's what I saw, too. In fact, originally I didn't see Ahshoka in the shadows of the stairs, and I asked my kids, "Do you think Ahsoka survived." And my daughter made us go back so she could prove that yes, Ahsoka is alive. So unless that's supposed to Ahsoka's spirit going to join Yoda, she's alive. It's my feeling, though, that's she's going into hiding and won't be involved like she was.

The AMC we go to has movies for sensory sensitive kids and their families, which I think is a fabulous idea. The thought behind allowing texting/social media--trying to make it an experience that a demographic would enjoy isn't such a bad one. Especially if they were to have certain showings or theaters that allowed texting and social media, I can see that. But allowing it in all showings/theaters/ Yeah, no.

Less than 24 hours ago, just a few posts up, was a note to take discussion about the house and schooling to the correct topic. Because this was ignored, several posts were removed for being off topic. If you find you want to respond to something and have been asked to take it to the correct topic, you can post a simple, "Taking to this topic." Otherwise it seems as if the gentle requests are being deliberately ignored and we need to take it to the next level of removing posts. We'd prefer to just post gentle nudges. Really, truly, we we do. Please, read the mod notes and stay on topic.

From the media topic: Twice Holmes penned a story and it didn't feel right at all. Unbalanced and weird. Watson humanizes Holmes, makes him accessible. The best example of this is in the show Elementary. They both support and care for one another. They also irk and irritate with their own foibles. But Sherlock would be unbearable without Joan. Because it's not the mysteries, it's the shared adventure and the joy they have being together. But no, I don't think it would be the best Sherlock Holmes story if someone else told it. At least, going by the canon of stories. Fan fiction is something else entirely. Heck I consider the Guy Ritchie's as essentially fan fiction. I think they're great fun, and Jared Harris is perfection as Moriarty, but they feel like a Holmes story because it's the two them off on and adventure, each bringing something that's needed.

Interestingly, my daughter and I see numbers in color. I read somewhere that people also hear music in color. It sounds weird, but when I hear a number, say 8, I see the color black. 7 is yellow. 2 is blue. Stuff like that. Days of the week are like that too.

This is the Ratings and Scheduling Topic, not the let's bicker about Nicole Beharie topic. Quite a few posts were just removed for bickering and being off topic. Remember, it's not required that we all agree. If one says the Yankees SUCK, and you like the Yankees, a constant stream of arguing and bickering and saying, "I don't get why you say the Yankees SUCK" is getting too personal and nasty. And we'll have to go through and delete a whole bunch of posts. And keep it on topic.

I was glad that we got a chance to see Melinda and Andrew have a last moment together. But, when he was saying that he felt he was put here for a purpose, I started wondering if Lash is going to take down SquidWard. They've been laying on that destiny stuff pretty thick lately and it would fit. Well...on cursory glance it would fit. What really clicked it for me was seen the beginnings of SquidWard's transformation and how it's similar to Lash. I thought the crucifix seen in the space shot belonged to that rubberband woman. Granted it could be given to a member of SHIELD so it doesn't mean it's her, especially since it was floating.

Heh. I pictured Jill with a Klingon forehead. Or Lursa or B'tor.

UGH. It was near 70 on Thursday and it's supposed to snow tomorrow. Weather in New England, it kills me sometimes. It's why I always keep sweaters and short sleeve shirts on hand--you just never know what you're going to get!
