  1. I watched the first 2 episodes this season then keep forgetting its on every Saturday and have been meaning to catch up via On Demand but haven't. I can't get as excited about the show these days like I did during the earlier days even though I like Peter Capaldi in the role. Another show for me is the Amazing Race, maybe it's more because I can't get used to it being shown on a different night than Sunday.
  2. I thought she retired. The clips I saw showed her interviewing people from 'scandals' that were overdone when they were happening, IMO. I'm passing on this.
  3. I checked Comet TV's website and didn't find an affiliate for NY/NJ, hope that changes. I am wondering with all of these digital sub channels and more sprouting up if it's worth keeping cable anymore.
  4. This was a good pairing, I hope they get another chance sometime in a better location. With the eggs, how did they figure they'd be good to eat once cooked? Weren't they buried in the sand waiting to hatch?
  5. Marty had the benefit of being the last born of 3. If he was the first born he probably would have been showing the effects about the time he met 1955 Doc and who knows how the rest of the story would play out. Anyone here ever see the movie Frequency? The Jim Caviezel character changes his past and admits later being confused with the mixing of old and new past memories.
  6. Keeping in mind Biff had to be in the last family scene, it's interesting that Marty's trip caused a positive outcome for him as well with owning his own business, even if it's turning the tables by working for George. Every time I watch the scene at the end and Dave is in a suit I wonder why he's still living at home if he's so successful, given its 10:30 in the morning it's quite plausible he's just stopping by so I like your explanation, scarynikki!
  7. Every time I see it it seems creepier and creepier plus this Peter Pan is so obnoxious especially toward the woman.
  8. I was worried for the woman (can't remember her name - Tara? Tana?) toward the end of the challenge. Her lazy bum partner noticed but it didn't seem like he was too worried. I wonder how he and Alana would get along if paired together for 21 days, they appear to have the same approach to surviving. He appears to be self aware about his behavior but not interested in doing anything about improving it. Anyway, if I had that many painful bug bites I'd tap out too but then with the mention of Africanized killer bees I'd tell them to drop me somewhere else. Men, Women, Wild sounds interesting. If I remember I'll watch, I usually don't watch much on the Discovery Channel.
  9. They play themselves here: http://www.nj.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2015/10/watch_back_to_the_future_toyota_commercial_filmed.html
  10. Esquire is showing a marathon of all 3 movies, Back To the Future III is on right now. Happy Back to The Future day everyone!
  11. Lol! Maybe an episode with a favorite celebrity from back then?
  12. This was a better episode than the previous two but I could have done without the seemingly minute by minute bowel movement update. I was wondering if we were going to see the medics due to her problem. I can't believe the show even went there. I think she said she was 4'11". Scary seeing the Hippo roaming through the camp during the night.
  13. If not a gun, perhaps something that's routine for us but looks like magic to the natives. Plus, depending on how far back he was sent, the natives may not have met any explorers like the British yet.
  14. Loved the ending and how it all worked out in the end - Kellog really thought Alex was going to send him back only a few years? The Alex he stole Piron from? Unless he has some god-like knowledge like when's the next solar eclipse he's probably toast with the natives. Seeing Kiera back in 2077 and not being able to reunite with Sam felt like she had a Twilight Zone twist ending. Isn't it enough to see him happy and cared for? There was no point for her to go back to 2077 otherwise, she should have just stayed in 2015. I would have liked to see how the rest of Liber8 fared in the alt 2077. It was good to see Kagame again and now he's good friends with Alex and Julian. Count me in as another who'd read a novelization of this. I wish the show had continued on.
  15. Anyone know what their odds were at the beginning of the season? 100-1? Lol
  16. The producers obviously have not done a good job selecting people so far this season. I wonder how they pair up the men and women for each episode - seems like the two who made it alone the past 2 weeks would have made a good team. Initially it looked like it would have been a far better episode than last week's but we get the same quitting after a few days. At least we didn't get someone who thought they were better than their teammate. I thought the guy's Bigfoot fear was weird. Interesting that after production went in to help with the growling animal there were no more occurrences. Maybe we should start making guesses on how long the next ones will go before quitting, lol.
  17. I agree. The show seemed to like marrying them off when they were just old enough. If Ernie wasn't married off they probably would have had Chip and Polly have a baby.
  18. Maybe Travis is indestructible like the T1000 terminator? It looked like Dillon was dead when Sonia blew up so with Travis, who knows. I guess it's possible he will be alive again in the future but with the different path time is taking his life could be very different. I'm wondering where Garza is too, hope to see her in the finale. Also hope we see Julian, if his exit was going to live with young Kagame and his mother and that's it I'll be disappointed. I don't get how others coming from 20 years in the future is going be good at all. Depending on how old those who come back are there's a younger version of them roaming around in the present, wouldn't that be a problem? Couldn't those who already came back work to make their future better for those that they left behind?
  19. I'm in Central NJ and have Comcast. During the weekend Cozi here shows Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, Lassie, kids programming, movies, and the Dick Van Dyke show. No Christian worship programming.
  20. Just discovered H&I on my channel lineup today, I'm not sure when it was added. They've got some shows that don't air elsewhere as far as I know - Mannix, The Commish, Hunter, Combat!, 12 O'clock High. Haven't seen Mannix in ages. I finally got Me TV here and while I'm happy being able to see Emergency! during the week and Superman, Batman and Star Trek over the weekend, their nightly lineup leaves much to be desired IMO.
  21. This is a good point since Marty told Doc to look him up in the future. Then there wouldn't have been the fiasco with the comic book since future Marty won't be going back to the past with Doc. They would have had to do something else to get in trouble, probably at the hands of Griff or Biff.
  22. Here Comes the Brides was on either Antenna it THIS tv until recently, now I can't find it. I'd like to see some more obscure shows too, some of these shows are shown on multiple channels at different times of the day/week (TV Land, AMC, INSP), it's tiring.
  23. Seems like this show attracts a lot of ex military people. So far they appear to have a mixed record of making it all the way to extraction. The medic did mention the blood pressure which was low enough to force him out. He didn't prepare well enough and it looks like he didn't do much about finding food when they got there, that obviously would have kept him going at least a little while longer. All he seemed to do is talk about how tough he thinks he is. Did he know how to make a fire? I wouldn't mention how little I've used the tool I brought myself, but if you're cold and your partner lets you down try fixing the problem yourself don't sit there criticizing her.
  24. The passage of time (20-30 years) helps plus they didn't have a picture of Marty to remember him by so they may just remember him as this kid who visited for a few days them left. Doubt they'd think he was a time traveler, even if he foresaw their future son almost setting the living room rug on fire ...
  25. Some of my favorites are from Season 9 as well - The Serenity Now, The Junk Mail, The Slicer and The Burning. While I wasn't a fan of the final episode at first I now see what happened as the what made the most sense to end a series about people who behaved the way they did.
