  1. I saw the interview with Sophia Loren as well. I especially enjoyed the part when her son brought up Cary Grant and the "bittersweet" feelings for their relationship because a different outcome threatened his entire existence, lol.
  2. If there's another Naked and Afraid XL I hope Matt's a part of it. Great attitude considering who he was paired with. Lindsay wasn't an experienced survivorist, right? When they showed the raging river during the downpours I thought about the episode where it rained so much and got cold enough the pair (sorry I don't remember their names) were at risk of getting hypothermia so they both tapped out at 14 days. This time being cut off from the Production Team was very risky - hope to never see that situation again.
  3. Regarding last night's Web of Lies, I wonder how strong that girl's passwords were for the accounts to be hacked. She probably had the same one for all of them. She was very lucky the way it all turned out. Several years ago (maybe even when MySpace was still popular) there were stories about people posting pictures of themselves doing stupid things like being drunk at a party then it being used against them when they applied for a job. I guess this girl didn't hear about that and what she was doing could cause problems for her later.
  4. The Waltons was a favorite of mine growing up. I've been to Charlottesville several times but haven't made it to the Waltons Museum. It's a nice area with lots of other places to visit. Monticello and Montpelier are 2 examples. I haven't looked to see if one of the cable channels that have been showing the Waltons are still airing them. I wonder if they will be showing a bunch of episodes for Earl Hamner. I too, was a bit surprised he was still with us until yesterday. Anyone who lives to their 90s has seen quite a lot during their lifetime. Also, I haven't seen the White Shadow in reruns much but I wonder if it'll pop up somewhere now - that was a much watch show for me when it was on. I enjoyed the rapport Coach Reeves had with the team and how they all interacted with each other.
  5. I'm looking forward to seeing Dissapeared too. Even the reruns with the with the unsolved cases could be good to run from time to time, I've seen some of them in the mornings when I'm home. I don't like the ads for House of Horrors - I paid too much attention to it recently and it made me sick. Another ad I wish ID would stop running is for "Counting On" on TLC. It seems to be run too many times. I don't think they ran ads for 19 Kids ... (Or whatever the show is called) much in the years prior on ID. I'd like to know if El Salvador is so dangerous, why did they bring a baby?
  6. My favorite Odd Couple episode was when Felix and Oscar win a car then spend the rest of the episode trying to find a parking space for it. They go to a parking garage, no spots to rent, then started moving it on the street all the time to avoid being ticketed or towed. Although it was a chore they made it funny. I haven't seen the Odd Couple in a while but this is the one that stands out most for me.
  7. Re: Web of Lies last night and the young woman having terrible luck with men. Seemed pretty risky for her to invite boyfriend #2 to her place to pick her up for the first date and not at some public spot. At first I thought it could have turned out to be the first one who she ran away from who was still after her, that's what they wanted us to think. In comparison to previous episodes this one didn't seem as interesting despite how it ended.
  8. H2 was one of my go to channels as well. I hardly watch History anymore because all it seems to have are reality shows. I read somewhere the H2 programming will roll into History - really? I find it hard to believe they'd give up air time for Pawn Stars, American Pickers, etc for anything from H2.
  9. I'm waiting for something to happen ala Howard Dean myself.
  10. I know. "We" - meaning the voters as a collective keep sending the same people back to Washington and the same things keep happening. Are these same people who are angry and want to see Trump win the nomination also willing to vote in new representatives to Congress to really shake things up? More has to change other than nominating Trump for President. Also, I don't understand how someone can call the whole primary season based on final race results from about 4 states.
  11. Re: Web of Lies - that was a sad story. Given how shady they were making Lacey look later in the show I was doubting the story she told about who Garnett's father was so I went online to see if there was anything about her (plus I fell asleep toward the end). I found an article from a news site about a man who said he was Garnett's father and once she was pregnant she had nothing to do with him. I'm wondering if I missed something since the show didn't mention him at all - was that not important enough for the story? She's a real piece of work, plus her parents as depicted on the show must have their own issues too.
  12. I watched Web of Lies last night too but didn't pay enough attention to the commercials to notice if there were any about dating sites. What I'm wondering was if the girl's friend who was "seeing" the older man thought twice about what he could do to her. Chances are probably not.
  13. I prefer going to the Post Office myself. Whether I need stamps to mail something or want a set of commemorates I'd prefer a ride down the street and going to the counter to get them. It's easier for me. I'm a sometime stamp collector so that's more money for them
  14. Yeah, Web of Lies is a favorite for me too. It really proves the Internet can be a dangerous place if you're not careful. Watching some of these stories made me wonder what could be going through some of these people's minds although in the cases of the children who were profiled you want to tell them "it's not that important and you're better than that" especially with the story with the girl who committed suicide over the Facebook bullying.
  15. Good idea! I've been wanting to go into NYC to do/see a bunch of things ... It's just motivating myself to go one weekend for the day. I think back when the Tonight Show first started the news preceding it was only 15 minutes, followed by Skitch Henderson warming up the audience before Johnny came out. I'm not sure where I learned this as I'm not old enough to have watched it first hand.
  16. Probably the only way we'd see anything from the NY shows is if Antenna TV airs any of the anniversary episodes. I don't remember anything other than that clip with Ed Ames throwing the tomahawk only because it's been shown so many times. There might be some other clips from NY though. I doubt some former NBC employee has a lost tape sitting in their attic or basement waiting to be discovered.
  17. I watched Saturday's which was from January 1, 1975 and it was a bit surreal to watch. Johnny and Ed were talking about a bit they did a few years before about doing the Tonight Show in 2000, "25 years from now". Too bad they didn't show that clip. I suspect we're only going to see the Burbank episodes (70s and on) as the earlier episodes were sadly lost due to NBC taping over the shows (or something to that effect).
  18. I watch The Howling Man for that scene each time. That maid let him go too quickly. With all that noise I'd be running away, not looking to open that door!
  19. I agree, the editing was bad. One in particular was the transition scene in "The Howling Man". Go to the IMDB.com Twilight Zone forum and you'll see plenty of complaining about that cut. I own the DVD set and watch episodes from time to time but it's that shared experience with others the past few days that kept me tuned in to the marathon. One thing that SyFy did that was great was broadcast great prints of the episodes. Previous years the quality of the prints weren't that great.
  20. I sort of followed the story when it happened and thought Blake probably did it (especially given the story he told about how it all happened) but after watching last night I'm not so sure. If his lawyers are so sure they know who the real killer is why don't they say so - unless he's really Blake's accomplice. I thought Bonnie's daughter was "off" too - I wonder if she's a scam artist like her mother was. It's nice that Blake's daughter is raising Rosie - not knowing anything about her it's probably safe to say she's getting a better upbringing than if she ended up with her mother's family.
  21. I guess they'd have to be forced to by the cable companies who in turn would be forced by the subscribers who are left. With all the channels ESPN has they should be their own cable package for one to choose but I'd imagine they couldn't get enough subscribers to pay what they'd need currently to operate. By not having ESPN and all their associated channels would lower cable bills for a lot of us. It'll never happen while we have cable but we can dream...
  22. MeTV has the first few days of their January schedule posted in their site and you're right ennui, the 2nd episode of Emergency is being dropped for CHiPs.
  23. I tried to watch last night but fell asleep. When this was first happening I couldn't fathom how she would be interested in a 12 year old boy or how he came on to her. Anyway was it ever mentioned last night what either one of them does for a living? She can't teach anymore and he probably doesn't have much of an education to get a good paying job. What a train wreck.
  24. I never heard about it being abolished. Interesting that most of the candidates who filed are low in the polls anyway, how much would getting that extra air time help them anyway?
  25. I wonder if was still there regardless of the new timeline or not. We see him being nice to George in alternate 1985 as a result of George decking him in 1955 but who knows how he treats other people - after all, Griff is a 2015 version of 1955 Biff who might have learned his behavior at home.
