  1. Odyssey of Flight 33 is a favorite of mine as well. I’m glad it was on at a good time for this marathon. Another one of my favorites, To Serve Man is on right now.
  2. We’re only a few days away from the Twilight Zone New Year’s marathon!!!
  3. Friendperidot, do you get WE TV? They show the early seasons of Law & Order. Looks like TNT shows the later ones.
  4. I watched the show during its initial airing and later bought the DVDs. About a year or so ago I binge watched the series and was sad when I got to the last episode. I’m contemplating another go through soon so I’ll second the thought. Also, about the unanswered questions, while it would have been nice to know, leaving them unresolved didn’t ruin the overall story for me. At one point I forgot about some of those parts anyway.
  5. I’m not sure if this is the right spot to post this: http://tvline.com/2017/11/02/the-twilight-zone-revival-cbs-all-access/ I guess CBS is happy with Star Trek Discovery’s ratings (it's been renewed) that they’re reviving the Twilight Zone. The 80s version was meh, the 2002 version was ok but I’m not paying to see this. Rod Serling would need to be involved for me to even consider and I know that won’t happen.
  6. I'd continue to watch if it were continuing on over the air TV but I wasn't thrilled enough about what I saw to pay for All-Access. Watching this I was missing old Trek, back to the Next Generation marathon on BBC America .... Plus it was very dark on that bridge. I read it was going to be a dark series but literally?
  7. I haven't watched the Laci Peterson one and don't plan to. I've caught various parts of the Natalee Holloway programs and while I hope her parents will find out someday the real truth regarding what really happened to their daughter, I think the chances of that are pretty slim to none. That guy they're monitoring in that room over the course of a few episodes is a real piece of work. The cable channels rehashing all of this old news plus other stuff is making me rethink my cable subscription but that's a topic for another forum here.
  8. They've also been covering some of the same cases as Oxygen around the same time. There's the series on Oxygen with Natalee Holloway's Father trying to follow "new" leads in his daughter's disappearance that premiered the same night as a one hour different show on ID, then each network had a show about Drew Peterson. I haven't seen anything about Oxygen having a show about Chandra Levy, but ID has one this week. A lot of the same stuff, over and over.
  9. I hope that wasn't the end for Emma either. There has to be something else here. I wasn't expecting the explosion. Poor Luther. Another Lost shoutout. Some of this stuff was pretty predictable but still funny. Pack really thought he'd be able to keep that suitcase all to himself once he said it had food and supplies in it? I'm looking forward to more.
  10. Cory looked to me like one of those actors I've seen before in something (hey! It's that guy!) but couldn't place. So I agree with the Wil Wheaton comparison, like it's his lesser known brother. Didn't Florence refer to him as Carl later on? Haha. I was wondering about how Pack would get the money off the boat unnoticed too. If I came across that much money hidden away I'd be worried about it being marked cash and wouldn't touch it - guess I've watched too many crime shows :-) Per IMDB only 2 more episodes - I'm sure that last scene is a setup for some kind of cliffhanger.
  11. Todd's becoming a favorite of mine too. Up until a few episodes ago I thought he was a real jerk but what would those episodes have been without him. They got the boat moving, however I'm wondering how long it's going to be until they reach the shipping lanes. Then maybe they'd end up back at the island again, heh. Like Desmond on Lost.
  12. alexvillage, this may answer your question: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Push_the_Button
  13. I watched Rhoda during its original run for about the first season or two then I stopped watching it - I don't remember if it was due to lack of interest or something else. Anyway, thinking about it now, I think Rhoda as a character would have been better served if they kept her on with Mary Tyler Moore then during the last season of that show (which they decided to end while they were still on top) have a story arc for her with going to NY, living happily ever after and so on, but you know, if a network sees a popular character that looks good for a spinoff, they'll do that instead, ruining everything.
  14. Yes, they married her and Joe after a few episodes in then discovered they didn't know how to write a show with Rhoda being married. The wedding episode was funny, though.
  15. He also starred in the TV show War Of the Worlds in the 80s, a continuation of the 50's movie. It was must watch TV for me at the time. The first season was fun and campy then it turned dark for the second season.
  16. It was nice of Melissa and Chance to let Russell, et al use their raft to catch fish. Watching that I was wondering what would happen if it fell apart during that time, would the group have helped them build another one for extraction? Was there anything where they were to even build one for themselves? Re: Chance helping with Melissa's extraction, I couldn't imagine navigating the 3 miles back alone like that!
  17. In comparison to earlier seasons the 6th season isn't as good IMO. Most of the regulars who started with the show were gone and the comedy didn't seem as sharp. You're not missing much.
  18. I'm paying close to $100 for cable only service (I'll consider a bundled package whenever Verizon offers FIOS in my area which from the looks of it in my neighborhood should be sometime this year) and my cable company recently moved 2 channels I watch once in a while to a higher tier. No rate decrease for me, in fact, they increased that broadcast fee and some other fee in January. I'm thinking of getting on of those leaf antennas myself - I'd miss the cable shows but there's plenty to watch on the digital sub channels.
  19. I caught a few minutes of 42nd Street last night and noted the audio narration as well. I happened to have the closed captioning on then turned it off, which turned off the audio narration. I was watching it on an old Sony Triniton TV.
  20. I was wondering the same thing. I don't know about when the episode was originally shown, but the "oh no, there's two of them, who is the right one" thing is so cliche. At least they had some fun with it in ST VI:The Undiscovered Country.
  21. Yes, Donna's grandfather in "The End Of Time". Then Rory's father (although we just saw pictures) at the end of "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship".
  22. He was also in Third From the Sun, another good episode.
  23. Damn that Sports Almanac! :-)
  24. The Cubs won the World Series! Although the team they won against in Back to the Future II was different, they were off by only a year.
  25. At least we got to see the castaways get off the island...even if it was a bad TV movie.
