  1. I thought for sure she was going to tap out again when she complained about not being able to open her eyes. At least she was smart enough to build the 2nd shelter on the higher ground.
  2. The 10 pm episode was new, with a returning person who fared much better the 2nd time. Looking forward to the XL show and hoping it's not a retread Survivor with alliances, etc.
  3. I think I heard something like they were "given" a fire starter or something to that effect. Otherwise you're always counting on someone bringing it then what else are you missing? I'd think the skill would be more in finding enough firewood and keeping it going than struggling with starting it anyway. I agree, the black sap cure seemed suspect -- Robin just so happened to read about the plant that neutralizes the pain? They don't know where they're going before they're dropped off, right? I liked this team and they seemed to like and respect each other. It was sad to see them both tap out but with the conditions they were enduring it was a good decision. At least Robin said she got something out of the experience.
  4. I think so - wasn't it during an episode of Frasier?
  5. Roseha, there are some episodes of The Fugitive posted on youtube.
  6. I'm enjoying Decades but I thought the programming past the Through the Decades segment would be closer to the TV programming shown during the time they're presenting - no movies. I like that they repeat the block through the day so we don't miss a program. I miss the binges this week (got hooked on a few of them especially The Fugitive) and look forward to the weekend binges.
  7. One Day at a Time is on Antenna TV at 10 pm. Haven't seen Lou Grant in years but it would be fun to watch it again.
  8. I thought since she instigated the whole thing she should have gotten some jail time as in other cases like this. The boyfriend seemed like a good person otherwise and now he's got a jail record for the rest of his life.
  9. The mom was paying the rent and I was wondering too why she didn't stop paying when Jessica broke the no boys rule. The housemate who offered commentary during the show should have left the house the minute the boyfriend stabbed Jessica, but being the leech he was its not surprising he hung around. He looked genuinely remorseful about what happened but who knows if that's because he got caught.
  10. I watched General Hospital back in the 80s and remember Nurse Jesse. There's a comment about this in the trivia section of his IMDB profile along with a mention that he wanted to appear on the show but the producers didn't take the interest seriously. I wonder how they would have worked him into the show.
  11. Jeffrey Hunter was in his 42 when he died (due to a blow to the head that later became serious enough to cause a stroke that killed him). He was also in The Searchers with John Wayne, and gave a good performance. I'm not sure if Star Trek would have made him a big TV star but it would have been a different series since he was no William Shatner!
  12. There was no one to get married off that season (Ernie too young, lol) so I guess they needed a story to reel people back in. I couldn't take more than 15 minutes of the first episode - he shows up unexpectedly, expects a place to stay and dictates how they conduct their dinner time. There is an amusing episode from later in the season where Steve is left with the triplets all day while the rest of the family is out (part planned, other last minute). Steve has a time keeping them from getting into trouble but manages to lose them anyway. No Fergus.
  13. Egad is right. That was the season when they showed some of the episodes 10:30 at night and I was too young to stay up to watch so never saw until now. Caught a few minutes of a Fergus episode and its cringeworthy. Looks like he wasn't around the entire season.

There's been so many mergers, sales, etc. of studios and media companies through the years that it's hard to track who owns what regarding television shows. When Decades shows up on my cable system (I hope) I'll be happy to see many of the shows I haven't seen in years too!
  15. Re: See No Evil, plus some pretty detail oriented and patient Detectives - that guy grabbing Kelsey wasn't easy to spot. Pretty scary story, getting grabbed in broad daylight in a seemingly public area.
  16. I saw Obsessions last night too and was a little perplexed by her statement to the effect of how all of this could have been avoided ... Um, ok. Seems like if your life is in danger and the police aren't as responsive as you'd like maybe you should go see them? Then with her leaving the kids at home while they were in danger too ... Hello?
  17. Comcast carries MOVIES! too on channel 243 here in central NJ. I've enjoyed some of what they've shown from time to time however it's easy to overlook given its channel placement.
  18. Desi Arnaz Jr played Desi Sr. in the movie The Mambo Kings years ago so there you go.
  19. I think NBC was leading the charge on the move from B&W to color since their parent company at the time was RCA, the makers of color TVs. I agree with what's been said here about the use of B&W and its conveying of mood. IIRC there was an episode of the X Files (or a show around that time) filmed in B&W and it was a good choice.
  20. I watched the colorized version of It's a Wonderful Life when colorization was "in vogue". It looked terrible. I spent more time noticing the bad color than paying attention to the story. Any of the colorized stuff I saw back then looked "dirty". They could never match the brilliance of color like it could have been filmed back in the day. A while back Hulu had some colorized first season episodes of I Dream of Jeannie that looked very good. I wonder if the technology changed enough to "fool" those who would never know the difference?
  21. In "The Comeback" when George is in Jerry's apartment vehemently expressing he's using the Jerkstore comeback to his coworker, arm motions and all. In "The Limo" when Jerry and George are talking about how to get out of the limo and George says to jump out, Jerry says who are we, Mannix? In "The Chicken Roaster" after Jerry and Kramer switch apartments, the scene where Jerry tells Kramer he's afraid the the dummy is going to kill him during the night. Then the later scene where Jerry is acting like Kramer.
  22. That may be due to how The Love Boat is packaged for syndication. TVGN runs episodes on a regular basis however I haven't noticed what seasons they are from.
  23. I saw that 48 Hours segment too. The story about falling down the stairs but blood stains on the floor around the corner seemed very suspicious. His crying also came off to me as something he thinks he has to do to convince people he's telling the truth. Regarding the part about paying back the money for the children's expenses, I knew someone who was in a similar situation (pay me to watch our child when you go out, though they weren't married). There it seemed like he want interested in being a parent and probably the guy on 48 Hours wasn't either.
  24. Plus they're not always going to show up in a body with the same gender as the last one (Marcus/Madison) so it could be an interesting reunion.
  25. Yeah, and you're relying on someone else to bring you back. How reliable was Richard Shephard anyway? He makes a deal with Marcus Fox for money then activates him too early in order to kill him then he gets involved with Amy, delaying Rose's return by years. I wouldn't go for it either.
