Interesting how many talk shows, newspaper and magazine articles and even a PBS documentary that the moms had for this story. Made me wonder about their motivations.

Scenes From A Marriage - General Discussion

My husband immediately said he seemed like a jerk! -
The first forty minutes were hard to follow, so many characters, not even opening credits, then when young Tony showed up I started to get into it more. I miss thus show, I did a rewatch when HBO marathoned all the episodes, and wow, just a great show, always will be. I have this bizarre affection for Corey Stoll, and he was great. Livia was eerily like Carmela. I really enjoyed Michael Gandolfini, I think he captured something that his dad had in the role. I was thrilled when the theme song came on at the end. I hope we get more prequel stories, I think we will.

That was just stressful. And it was ridiculous that movers would come to move you at night. -
S47.E01: Owen Wilson / Kasey Musgraves

Solid show. A lot of people got a chance to shine. New Biden had a lot of airtime, congrats to him. Andrew cracked me up in the doctor sketch. NOT looking forward to Kim K. -
I immediately knew Lauren wouldn’t be back, even without reading the article. Sad about Beck. Hope has some great projects in store. Does SNL owe Halsey money? It seems like she’s on twice a year!

So dumb! I wish it had taken a more realistic approach, the opening scene was so campy I I I thought for sure they would say “Cut!” To reveal they were making a movie within a movie type scene.

I love this show, I’m rooting for Ronan and of course, dinosaur-fan guy. -
It’s funny, I remember every one of those brides except for Shannon.

I’ll keep watching, but I’m slightly out off by the pristine perfection (attractive guests at a dinner party, perfectly made bed in perfectly decorated bedroom), but I guess that’s the point. -
Late Night With Seth Meyers - General Discussion

I don’t know, it was weird, like they have this idealized vision of him that they have him on a pedestal. Oh, and his marriage ending really has their ire up. -

Wow, the internet really went nuts over the John Mulaney thing! I think his interview was really heartfelt. Some of his fans think they can’t like him anymore, but they should remember that he’s a human, and has foibles like everyone else. I’m rooting for him to succeed. -

Disappointed for sure. -
Ugh!: Actors, Hosts, And TV Personalities You Just Can't Stand

It’s funny, I watched The Good Place and really enjoyed Kristen when she played a rotten person. Then, one episode in the final season, I just couldn’t stand her, she was trying so hard to be adorable. Now they both bug me, always in entertainment news, always on TV somehow, I am just so annoyed by them. -
S06.E10: Rudemption Lip-Sync Smackdown

So true, I was reading Instagram and thinking I had a screw loose in my dislike for Silky. And yes, I did goof on Serena vs. Jiggly. Too much Silky clouded my vision. -

That was horrible. I can’t stand Silky, she is a mess. Serena won that first lip sync. Ru likes Silky for whatever reason and the narrative of the show is Silky now. It was never a true competition show, we know that, but now it’s a fully fictional narrative. Ugh. Gross. -
The final episode just made me angry all over again…but really enjoyed the rest. I liked learning more about his mother, and it was so sad that his mother, father and grandmother never got to see him become President.

That was abysmal. Eureka should have won, but just barely (and I adore her). Phyllis Diller was weak, and I’m tired of seeing Kylie get a winner’s edit. She could have done so much more, like be sugary sweet while giving backhanded compliments. Pandora just seems so sad, but acts like she deserves something. Where were the jabs at SJP?? That would have been so funny!

I’m thinking Rachel just leaves him, and that the body is either Armond from an overdose or a Steve Hahn from a scuba accident. Or Jennifer Coolidge fell off a boat!

I am really enjoying this show, but I really want to find out who is in the coffin. I would binge the whole series if it was a Netflix show.

I’m still embarrassed that The Jeffersons had white writers. It would have been quite the opportunity for black writers. -

I recorded it but deleted it not halfway through, when I saw Peter from Brady Bunch is continuing his efforts to remain relevant. -

Oh wow, I thought he looked pretty good! To me, Ted Danson looks the best, the day he starts really aging will be a sad day. -

I also thought there would be more on Cheers in the episode about sex. I was 12 when it began and frankly it was the first time I was exposed to an adult sexy relationship like Sam and Diane’s, after years of adults acting like teenagers on Three’s Company, etc. -
History Of The Sitcom - General Discussion

The tricky thing about The Cosby Show was that it was MASSIVE, so there was no getting around discussing it. Ugh, Family Ties. The premise failed so hard that the writers forgot the flower children parents/conservative kids premise and Michael J. Fox took over the show. That’s just poor writing, no matter how much everyone liked Fox. He’s one of my least favorite actors.
