  1. Hopefully Trump won’t do anything too unhinged that we won’t need Alec back to comment on it. Fingers crossed. it was an unusual episode, have we ever seen a host in only two full sketches?? Did Dave not want to do more than that?
  2. I said this to my husband last night. Seth was so visibly shaken after the last election, it will be nice to see him excited on Monday.
  3. How have the Closer Looks become even funnier? Seth seems so giddy, his asides are making me laugh out loud.
  4. Agree on Adam Driver. He’s a fantastic host. He’s comfortable with the cast and his acting in sketches is brilliant and funny.
  5. Check out Peacock, all the SNL episodes are free, it may be there.
  6. Aww, good for them. Colin was on WTF podcast and mentioned very briefly they had to cancel a bigger wedding because of Covid. I always see a lot of hate for him on SM, not sure why. I like him even better than her. I thought she was bad in Marriage Story, but really great in Jo Jo Rabbit!
  7. I have Sam and Diane Funkos from Cheers, they're really cute. If you ask me what music/band merch I have I could go on and on.....
  8. I realize I don't know most of the Italian mob's names. Who is the guy with the gun burn on his face? Did anyone notice when Josto introduced someone as Joe Bulo. THE Joe Bulo, or his father?
  9. I liked this fine but I am so distracted by Nicole's face. Is it filler? I can't even put my finger on what she has been doing and why it looks like that. She looks like she has a doll face. I do enjoy Hugh, he said he and Nicole have known each other since they were in their twenties. Were they in something together? Nicole wasn't in Sirens, was she?
  10. The Someone Like You Sketch With Coldplay crying at the end is a hoot and I’m sad it’s not online due to the music rights (Coldplay is my favorite band). I don’t think Adele needs to clear space for her Emmy this time, she was okay—I found her one note all through the show. However, people tend to give her awards even if she just sneezes, LOL. The writing was better this episode and the cold open was a lot tighter. And I absolutely howled with laughter at Che’s joke that he thought Trump was going to die.
  11. I think you're a great detective. This is what it sounds like to me. I bet someone could be pretty beat around if they are in a dumpster on the way to the dump, as well.
  12. Can anyone explain why the coffee/sugar/etc was a signal? I am still enjoying these episodes, but still....no one to really care about. I am not even devastated that Doctor Senator is dead. Eh. Like someone upthread said, remember when you had anxiety over the idea of a certain character dying? Hank? Betsy? Maybe even Floyd? I do like everything Jason Schwartzman is doing, he's always good. Go stream Bored to Death if you haven't seen it.
  13. H.E.R. is an exciting performer, she was great on the last Global Citizen Festival. Not super excited about Adele. I’m just not a fan.
  14. Whoever is green lighting these cold open scripts is sadly mistaken, they need to have an emergency meeting to round table what’s going wrong. They are BAD. I enjoyed the Canadian and date sketches, and Issa is really beautiful to look at. WU is really hitting the nail on the head. It’s fun to go back on Peacock and watcH WU where Seth doesn’t have anything urgent to make fun of. Even my husband said “Bieber finally got rid of that gross mustache!”
  15. I have to be honest, I love Fred Armisen, he’s very funny.
  16. Can Lorne please have a talk with Carrey over his Biden? It’s not going well. Please, SNL, make some changes.
  17. Definitely better than last week. The Sam Adams ad was hilarious. i didn’t know people loved Jack White so much.
  18. Everything they did had a purpose, I was quite impressed with the FBI agents. Great work on their part.
  19. King of Staten Island was enjoyable, and Bill Burr was really good in it. I hope the show has its head together this week. I’m already hoping Jim Carrey is too busy to appear as Biden. Dumb move, Morgan Wallen!
  20. Overall, I am enjoying this season very much. I guess I'm basing it on how much I really hated season 3, like, everything about it. I didn't even enjoy the Carrie Coon character. But the one problem I'm having with this season, as well-done as it is, is that there is no one to clearly root for. No Molly, no Lou, not even Mike Milligan or Peggy and Ed, whom you root for in a weird way.
  21. I listened, and then subscribed. I enjoyed it and am now listening to the Zodiac episode.
  22. I was fairly grossed out during the episode, but I did enjoy Linda and Gene's adoration of each other, which is how Linda got pinworms.
  23. I went down a rabbit hole yesterday on YouTube, these videos about body language are always fascinating. The FBI tactics are especially interesting.
  24. I really disliked the cold opening. It’s as if they let a brand new writer write it, or, someone’s teenage kid. The timing was off, even the cameras were in the wrong place at times. Alec was the best thing about it. Kamala was only brought in because they announced Maya and had to produce her somehow. Jim Carrey’s Biden was exactly as I feared, cartoony and overly “Jim Carrey.” It’s always about Jim Carrey when he performs. At least he’s not trying to win an Oscar anymore. I liked Chris Rock’s monologue and that’s it. He wasn’t even good in sketches.
