  1. I was completely riveted by this. I had known about the story, but not read in depth about it. The choice not to do traditional documentary narration and interviews was a good one, the narrative was far more compelling with the footage we got. Thoughts: I agree on Shannan’s friend and the neighbor—bravo to them. My husband turned to me and said, “She is a handful, isn’t she?” about Shanann. When I saw that huge house and the adorable kids, my first thought was envy, but things are not always what they seem, are they?
  2. It is still my firm belief that in season two, when the KC mob guy says, "You must be the kid he had with the maid," he was joking. If Noah Hawley wrote that on purpose to mean something, then he never elaborated on it.
  3. I saw it on Twitter, but the reviewer is Matt Zoller Seitz.
  4. I've read a well respected TV writer said that he has never hated any TV show as much as he hates season four of Fargo.
  5. Yes, that was a non-apology. It was word salad. Which most likely means that yes, she's a horrible employer. The buck stops with her. My husband had a customer who worked for her, and said she didn't want people looking her in the eyes. So, she's not exactly going to go on her own show and admit that.
  6. I wanted Good Place to win something, the final episode written by Michael Schur was lovely, but I guess, not enough actual comedy? I just want the academy to know that Ted Danson won't be around forever, so they'd better reward him again for something soon! I tried Schitt's Creek one time, I didn't find it funny. Do I have to try again? ALL of the comedy awards??
  7. I’m torn, but mostly hated it. I love Jesse Plemons, so he was great as always. It was just too weird. The poem Lucy recites was way too long, I literally stopped listening; I’ve written poetry, and that poem needed editing! the dance at the end was lovely though.
  8. As one who really enjoys the celeb cameos, I’m really disappointed about Carrey as Biden. I love Jason and the joy he brought as Biden, but he must be busy and can’t come to NY.
  9. I might be in the minority, but I am enjoying it. It’s trashy and fun and I love Yvie and Vangie.
  10. I would have snapped up that $15,000 in a heartbeat. And they take the stuff away FOR you! I wanted to know why, if Cindi had so many buyers, why they didn’t come and pick up and pay for their stuff. Hmmmm... Are you guys telling me Amanda is Cody’s wife and not Cindi’s daughter? She looks exactly like her!
  11. I'll check mine next week too. Just a colossal effup on CNN's part. They couldn't spare two more hours (or was it four?) for this show? Yes, COVID is serious, but we all need a wee little break from it!
  12. Oh wow, good point. I hope we get a younger version of maybe Mike or even Sheriff Ted Danson.
  13. No, it was utterly disappointing. Rewatch season 2 instead.
  14. I enjoyed it, but it brought back bad memories of the time my previous company did a program like this that was total horseshit.

    Hamilton (2020)

Daveed was my husband’s favorite performer from the film! I was so surprised, it’s not like him at all.

    Hamilton (2020)

1000% agree. I also canceled Disney Plus, so I watched one more time before my billing cycle ends. LMM’s acting is brilliant, I just watch his face in Quiet Uptown and in the final number, and yes, tears start a-flow in’! I don’t know how he did it every night of the show.
  17. (Crosses fingers) Please be better than season 3, please be better than season 3....
  18. I’m a huge Cheers fan and Ted not winning is one of my long held pet peeves. I can’t agree with you more. There is an elegance to his performances that make you think he’s just being himself. Even Mary Steenburgen said she thought at first was really like Sam! It also didn’t help him that he was part of a talented ensemble and the writers of Family Ties wrote a 30 minute monologue episode for Michael J. Fox about someone dying that he performed in theater spotlight! Grrrrr.....
  19. It always cracks me up (in a ragey way) when hoarders say, "All this stuff is worth $80,000-$100,000! I'm gonna clean it and get that money!" LOL, you are NEVER going to clean that stuff, so therefore, it's worth nothing. Maybe to a go-getter with great savvy on Ebay but not you. Your wonderful stuff will sit in a room gathering dust and it will never earn you all that lovely money.
  20. The entire episode was in French. I took French, but I could only pluck out certain words, and having the subtitles certainly helped.
  21. I see on YouTube it was Iliza Schlesinger, she’s a comedian. Her Netflix specials are quite funny.
  22. On episode four and I am enjoying the show so far. The weddings have been gorgeous. Every episode is like wedding site porn. The guys aren’t really supposed to be the focus, the couples are, so frat hey have been well chosen and interesting. They all seem really into it and not the usual reality makeover show people who can’t hide their slight embarrassment.
  23. I was always so dismayed when my husband would watch reruns of the original series, why did everyone’s interviews always look like they were done in the 70’s? How bad was the film they were using? I do, however, really like this version. It’s a creepiest, right from the theme music. I think Rey’s friend had something to do with his death, there are just too many oddities for a suicide. And didn’t they mention Russians? I don’t doubt certain baddie Russians wouldn’t hesitate to throw someone off a roof. I also think Patrice’s husband is Very strange and not a good guy, so I wouldn’t put it past him to be a part of her death. Poor Pistol.
