  1. The BeReal sketch also had an uncanny resemblance to a TikTok.
  2. I was really disappointed. I only laughed a couple of times, mostly with Bowen. It was missing something, of course, but something else, can’t say what. And why two sketches with bizarre costumes?
  3. I am super unenthusiastic about Miles Teller hosting. Also sad about Chris Redd. I hope this season isn’t a disappointment.
  4. I loved the movie, I even downloaded some of the songs.
  5. I’m not quite a fan, and honestly, every clip I see of his concerts, he’s always wandering around the stage or acting goofy. I’m sure his fans love it but it seems his shows aren’t tightly structured.
  6. I’m a sucker for anything Diana, and I think she was so manipulated by the Royal Family. She got hosed at every turn, even her own sister told her she had to go through with it. Good for her for Taj Mahal photo. They deserved it. Charles is a creep. The Queen raised those cold children, if I were a Brit I doubt I’d be a Monarchist.
  7. Enjoyed it, but it was the second doc this year that made me like the subject less than before I watched. The first was George Carlin. Also, embarrassed to see that when Ryan Hawke came onscreen, I thought, which one of Ethan’s kids is that? It’s his wife!
  8. I may be wrong, but I feel like Shea has been complaining since she lost season nine. Then the All Stars title was practically handed to her, all she had to do was show up. She’s a fabulous queen, but Ru acts like she owes Shea money! I wish there were fewer producer shenanigans, even though, yes, it’s a reality competition and them’s the breaks.
  9. I frankly loved this. The animation was beautiful, everyone really did a wonderful job. I too thought for sure there was a choreographer, I loved the musical numbers. There were several laugh out loud moments—Tina and Gene, in particular. Louise’s brattiness was also toned down, and best of all, no Gayle until the end credits.
  10. I have to disagree, I laughed pretty hard at Hader’s guest spot. The season, on the other hand, was pretty weak.
  11. There’s a Vulture interview with Jeremy, he said restaurants have a machine to reseal tin cans. Who knew?
  12. Jinkx was fabulous. She’s so extraordinarily talented. The art gowns were divine. Not getting Monet’s allure. If she wins, I’ll be sour. I must be the only one who is not a Designing Women fan, so much speechifying on that show, so a lip sync seemed perfect.
  13. I am surprised by how much I like this show. I’ve only seen Jeremy Allen White in one thing, and he has a sort of Robert Mitchum “features sliding down his face” thing going. His cousin is a crack up, as is Oliver Platt. My father was a chef, it’s a VERY hard business. I am cringing at some scenes, having spent so much time in my father’s kitchens as a kid.
  14. Ohhh, ok. I’m wondering why they called her at all then.
  15. It’s VERY Good Place. I’m confused that the foundation woman called her to come in, but how were they running the foundation if she just found out about it?
  16. Agree that the sketch was brutal! I checked out after the first scene. I thought Shea was really bad, and Viv was super annoying. Loved Jinx and Trinity. I’m confused, did the director actually direct this or is Ru just saying she did? I was put off by the camera not being on someone when theywere giving their big punchline.
  17. I enjoyed it. You have to settle yourself in, it’s got no car chases, no explosions—just PEOPLE TALKING. Highly unusual these days.
  18. Having just seen Little Women (yes, VERY late to that party), I’m now a Florence Pugh fan. I’m in.
  19. I thought it was trying too hard to be a feel good movie. Cooper has cast himself as a sort of manic, pixie dream boy, so nice, so cute, so funny! There’s no nuance to him. Plus he’s in every scene, and, we’ll, he’s a lot. Dakota is beautiful as always, but her character is underwritten, she seems to glom into him so quick, of course because he has written himself so charmingly. Then we are given her fiancé, whom we think will be a villain, but, oh, no—he’s nice too! I think Cooper needs to take some acting lessons and then write something with either more subtlety or a smaller part for himself.
  20. Per Bill Hader, it was a panther, and props made a fake panther just in case, but Bill had told them early on that we wouldn’t ever see the panther. They didn’t believe him.
  21. Funny, I wanted it to go on for much longer than 30 minutes.
  22. Went to Tijuana to try our luck. Wow, what an episode.
  23. I just finished Keep Sweet too! Another word of advice after watching both shows: don’t be female.
