  1. Great show, Pedro was obviously having a blast. Coldplay has my heart, so they can do no wrong in my book. The alien heads are from their live show, they do a techno segment called The Lightclub. Crazily enough, the Italian restaurant thing actually happened to me, the Italian owner told the three women I was with how beautiful they were, then got to me and turned around and walked away!
  2. I have a feeling Mercedes is no longer with us. I’m not a “thoughts and prayers” person but I wish those kids the best, they deserve so much more.
  3. Antera looks like Adam Driver and you can’t change my mind.
  4. Great episode, maybe best of the season. If anyone likes gritty movies, Aubrey is in and co produced Emily the Criminal on Netflix. So good and tense. I can never understand what Sam Smith is singing, my ears must not connect with their voice. They won an Oscar and I still have no idea what that song was about!
  5. We look forward to each season so much, and then next thing you know it’s over!
  6. A gossip site says that Colin and Cecily had issues when she co hosted WU.
  7. Surprised by how good Austin Butler was, his face when he opened the second catch-all was so funny. He got my heartstrings with his monologue about how shy he was and that his mom was no longer here. Same, man. I might be the only one here who liked the Jennifer Coolidge sketch, I thought it should be in the annual Christmas special, I’ve been hoping they take out some clunkers for a long time. Oh, and I wrapped some marzipan for my husband just earlier in the day. Oh well.
  8. That got me in the feels, best episode of the season so far.
  9. Martin Short is not someone I can hate, he’s too likable for that, but he always goes so over the top. I love Steve Martin, and there really wasn’t enough of him. Brandi Carlisle seems like Bonnie Raitt, the sequel.
  10. Good show. KeKe had tons of energy. I’m confused as to why Steve Martin and Martin Short aren’t hosting the Christmas show. The Austin Butler Christmas show sounds about as fun as the Amy Adams Christmas show turned out. Blah.
  11. Oh my goodness, are we being hit over the head that Dolly is a nice person? We get it!
  12. It was laughable, that he couldn’t be expected to sustain a believable American accent for an entire movie.
  13. I Just Called to Say I Love You is one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard.
  14. Finally watched this, my husband really loved it, funnily enough . It thought it was mostly there, like someone upthread said, 80% of a movie. It looked great, Florence was wonderful, the music was good, but I think the script needed tinkering, and I usually hate when there are dozens of writers on one movie. It needed to make more sense, some ideas needed to be fleshed out, like the red plane. And of course, we have to discuss Harry. I was exhausted from all my TikTok videos about him, and more than one person said they saw this in the theater and his female fans were giggling at every one of his scenes. Frankly, he was a non entity. I don’t know if he was trying to tone down a big personality, but I barely noticed him in scenes where he wasn’t yelling at Alice. Everyone else had a light behind their eyes, just not him. Weird coming from one of the biggest pop stars today.
  15. This. Some of the casting seems like it was rushed, like someone just pointed to headshots and just went, “Fine, uhhh, this one…”
  16. She would get clay on her beige outfits! Plus doing her art would cut into her precious wine drinking time.

    Bros (2022)

I had wanted to support the movie by going to the theater but couldn’t find anyone to go with me, so I watched it on demand. I really enjoyed it, it ended up being a feel good movie for me, loved the museum opening party at the end. The cameos surprised me, I laughed out loud. Billy is a lot for a whole movie but I appreciate this being made, and the large LGBTQ cast. Hope we get more in the future.
  18. He says it’s silly now and he didn’t do anything wrong! Way to go, James! Double down on assholery!
  19. Since I said Ryan Murphy was a hack in the first episode thread, I shouldn’t be surprised that this was really bad? It’s like the writers didn’t get together at a table and discuss a through line for the plot. They just threw anything against a wall and see if it sticks! I guffawed at this. I’m a fan of her ex, so her propping up the new husband as a writer (I thought he just produced, frankly) is so cringe.
  20. The writers actually hated having to come up with the cold opens, it became drudgery to them.
  21. I laughed harder than I should have at the flat butt sketch. None of the new people are working for me, no one has a spark yet. Molly is not good. I don’t know who exactly Jack Harlow is but I won’t boycott the 10/29 show. Only Kim Kardashian got me to boycott an episode.
  22. So many cliches in just the opening moments alone. Ryan Murphy is a hack, I was hoping this wasn’t written by Gwyneth Patrow’s husband, so at least there’s that.
  23. I enjoyed Harry’s SNL hosting gig a few years back, but he is soooo overexposed right now for me. Between his album, his tour, ever present songs on my addiction TikTok, his acting jobs and his relationship with the director of his movie, I’m over it. Harry, we can’t miss you if you don’t go away!
