I thought Cliff was going to be a humorless stick in the mud but I’m pleasantly surprised. After the first few minutes he looked like he was enjoying himself. What a counterpoint to Alton Brown who acted as if he’d rather be boiled in oil than participate.

A couple of interesting things on the after show which was so much better without Jamie Otis as host. Jasmina was recruited to be on the show. When asked what her first impression was of Mark, Lindsey said she thought he was a “guido” and she never dated guidos but figured she would give it a shot. She also said that the morning after the bachelorette party she realized that Alyssa had blocked her on social media. She gave some excuse then Jasmina called her out on it and said that two of Alyssa’s friends as well as two of her own friends heard Lindsey talking negatively about her, told Alyssa, and that’s why she was blocked. They showed an unaired clip of Lindsey looking for her written vows before she entered the area to walk down the aisle. In front of the camera people, the producer, and others she literally pulled down the top of her wedding gown. Katina looked completely disgusted and asked why she didn’t just pull down one strap at a time and Lindsey responded that she had pasties on so it was no big deal. I think Lindsey is going to wear thin on everyone. I did feel sorry when she said her mother was in town the week leading up to the wedding but left so she wouldn’t be there for the wedding.

Call me weird but I really liked the grotto bathroom! The pink house was simply poor decorating taste and didn’t offer much of a challenge. I think the ultimate winner will be based on how much $150,000 will go to do a “great” renovation. I think that’s why the funeral home wasn’t selected. I think removal of all of that working equipment, putting in plumbing and whatever electricity is needed, would cost way over $150,000.

I watched it too. I’ve never seen more shady people in one show. They wasted 17 months by relying on that first private detective who seemed the shadiest of all. The second guy who came onto the case, (Nancy’s boyfriend), seemed to elicit more info in a couple of weeks than the first guy did in over a year. Too many unanswered questions. Even though they never found Andrea’s cell phone did they try to get phone records of numbers she called or who called her the night she went missing. Weren’t there other security cameras in the neighborhood, and specifically in the houses on her block, that they could have checked out. The dad is in denial that Andrea isn’t alive anymore as he continues to go on a wild goose chase every time someone calls in a sighting.

I think Jules was the star out of the three boys. I think Ryder isn’t that interested and in all fairness, he’s young. But Jules is handsome, personable and has a sincerity that would be well received if he wanted to continue in this genre.
