  1. It happens so often, I feel like the only person who has ever drowned their sorrows in Gatorade. I tried drinking my feelings once, but it was a banana liqueur that made my tongue go numb. It freaked me out, so I made some tea.
  2. I figured out the one guy was his brother, early on. As soon as he appeared. My dad did, too. we really liked this movie. I'd heard good things, so we finally watched it a few weeks ago.
  3. I guess that depends on whether or not the partner is involved in making her crazy. Ivy saw several things herself, and so did their son, so by this point, it should be clear that Ally isn't crazy.
  4. I'm surprised their big security system didn't have cameras directed outside, too.

I watched the mini series again, and I actually preferred that, in a way. Just because the kids got more build-up, and Mike was in it from the beginning, as an adult. I liked the kids in both, though. The movie felt a bit rushed to me.
  6. I don't care if they poke at liberals, either. I just said that my problem is they've loaded too many stereotypes into Ally's character. It's too much on one person.

  8. I know. I've explained that to people before (I considered myself an independent for years). I was just recalling Ally's reaction to the numbers.
  9. I think she was shocked to hear how many votes went to Jill Stein (her vote being one). a number that could have carried Michigan for Hillary. I've deleted the episode, so I can't go back and check.
  10. I thought of that, too. I hadn't thought that she might not be a life-long liberal. I think part of the problem for me, is that she's getting lumped with all of the stereotypes of liberals and independents (now she's talking about chem trails), and coming off as really annoying (to some, just because she's unwinding mentally), whereas the libertarian preppers get to be fun and silly. Ivy, also hasn't been lumped with any of the stereotypes. I think the writers have focused too much on skewering ally, and making her a victim (or as an excuse to make her one). I also still don't see her voting for Jill Stein, if the election was so important to her. If it's that important that someone lose, you want every vote going to the other big candidate. I think that working towards someone losing their mind, is one of the cruelest things that you can do. I was glad to see her get some of her backbone back, and go across the street. She didn't cower in fear.
  11. Tahini in crocs. She focused on the cargo pants, but it was crocs that cracked me up. I liked her more this time, maybe because we already know her. Michael was tougher on her this time, straight away. I thought it was too much - seeming like hell, too soon. I'm so glad this is back. I finally got back to it on Netflix, a few weeks ago, finished watching it after losing track of it on tv last year. I watch so many dark or four shows, that it was a relief - this show cheers me up.
  12. I'll have to watch again, before they lose it. I've never re-watched the other seasons, but I watch Murder House every year.
  13. I googled. It looks like he was a news anchor.
  14. I think a bit of personal experience is getting to me with this. I should have put it off until I was feeling better. I almost stopped watching Asylum, because my life was crazy and turning in on me at the time. I would love to see her vindicated, but they'll probably turn her into a real monster. I think Ivy is in on it, just because she's too calm about everything but Ally. too quick to dismiss her feelings, too.
  15. I didn't understand her driving up to the protesters. Although I find it interesting that a terrified mother, trying to protect her child, is being seen that way. She didn't even see who it was - it was dark. But I thought that was stupid. If someone's harassment included a child that way, I would do that, too. Gaslighting isn't interesting to me, and the cop seems to be in on it. I'd like to see her get her own back on these people. Scaring her enough that she wants a gun - to protect her child - and then setting someone up to get shot.
  16. She told her son he could keep the Guinea pig, and they killed it. That isn't white lady syndrome. People don't make the best decisions when they're wound up like that.
  17. Because she's being gaslighted. The cop is in on it. they work her up into a petrified state, give her a gun, send poor Pedro her way when she's terrified and toting that gun.
  18. I've suspected the therapist since the first episode. Poor Mr Guinea! I don't like things like that.

I think that's my problem with movies not scaring me, anymore. real life can be terrifying. They also added a lot of humour here, which takes the edge off. Her dad was the scariest thing in the movie.
  20. She really looked stunned. She was so careful with her speech, I thought, because she wasn't prepared. ❤️

It's not him, but thank you! He was a tall, nerdy, dark-haired guy. I really wish I could remember what he was in. Not a main character. He also looks like he could be Emma Watson's little brother.
  22. I know that Christine is the biological mother, but I can't believe that Nora gave Lily back. She abandoned the baby, and Nora and Kevin legally adopted her! I'm kind of wishing I'd stopped watching at the end of season one.

I haven't seen that. I need to watch it before I lose my free month of HBO, next week.
  24. I like Steven Spielberg, and I'm always surprised to hear a movie called "emotionally manipulative". I loved E.T. I was in floods of tears when I saw it at the age of seven, but I love movies about real friendships/strong friendships. I loved Jaws, too. I haven't seen all of his movies, but the only one I recall disliking, was Jurassic Park. Because they changed certain things from the book (one of the scarier parts of the book, to me, was cut from the movie). The dinosaurs were great, they were scary, but it still bugged. Whenever I've said that before, it's been treated as blasphemy. One other thing that bugged, that was changed from the book, was .

I forgot to add that dad said the reviewers he'd heard on the radio, were right about the actress playing Beverly: she was really good. He went in with me, but had said he had no interest in the movie, and would probably go to sleep. He stayed awake through the whole thing. He laughed when they all put their hands up, when Bill asked for a volunteer. I thought someone mentioned one of the kids looking like Fred Savage, but I can't find it now. Eddie looked like someone else to me - a face you'd probably recognize, but I don't know his name. Now that's bugging me. I can't even remember what I've seen him in. Pennywise would scare the crap out of me if he really existed, but the only clown to bother me in a movie, was the one in Poltergeist (the original movie).
