I’m really enjoying this show! It has just enough of “everything,” without going over the top tropey. It depends on the state. For instance where I live, my state does not recognize “open” adoption. There is no such thing. I don’t know much about other states, for all I know no states have it. Termination of parental rights, which is what legally happens when a child is placed for adoption, is just that. The birth parents no longer have any rights to the child, including contact or information (that isn’t public record). I am sure whatever contract or agreement they signed was just a Bethany document that isn’t legally binding, but more of a handshake or good faith type of agreement. C&T were young and scared so they probably only read and interpreted what they wanted to fit their needs or wants. And they still haven’t matured enough to come to terms with the reality of it.

I felt so bad for Tammy, and was happy for her talk with Adam. I like their friendship and their scenes together the best. Gotta go change the urinal cakes! 😂 After all this time in recovery Bonnie is still so selfish. Tammy’s fear of falling back to her old ways and going back to prison were heartbreaking considering how hard we have seen her work and find her passion / talent of being a handy woman. But I can understand how it’s always in the back of her mind. I wanted to give her a big hug. The first scene was great, too. Adams line about his crazy hair had me rolling.
