  1. It's still far more common than a gorgeous dark black woman lead in love with a white man. Still Star-Crossed was one of the few, and that only lasted a season.
  2. His being beat up and shot is ENTIRELY on Beth. I know!!! When she told her husband and the pastor that she had stopped "climbing in bed" with other people, she should have meant it. She needs to tell Beth "I'm out. You know I will never betray you, but I can't do this any more."
  3. This was horrid, and these were not the characters who have appeared in all other MF episodes. There's no way that Claire worked at 2 closet companies (her dad's and the new one) and was seen as competant if abraisive if she was that bad at spatial awareness. She's preesented their closets at trade shows, for crying out load. And Gloria complaining about "losing her edge" didn't work for me either. The men were a bit better, although Phil having to talk to fill the silence kind of came out of nowhere. At least the physical comedy that Ty Burrell is so good at was fun as he tried so hard to stay in his "happy place".
  4. I don't feel sorry for Deac either. It's his primitive tthoughts on how a man "provides" that got him into this mess -- his stupid pride at not being able to let friends help or "let" his wife work (if I were Annie, I'd make it clear that it's not his decision to make). He had so many "outs" and threw them all away. The result is on him alone.
  5. Both Cancel Bear and TV Grim Reaper have it as "likely renewed".
  6. Actually, I was VERY glad that they didn't bring up the fictional "Friend Zone"! These were two people who liked and cared for each other as friends, and would continue to do so regardless of where their relationship went. The "Friend Zone" was invented by Nice Guys who pretend to care about women thinking they will be "owed" sex, and when they're not, they quickly show that they were never truly friends with the woman in the first place. So I'm glad for the kiss, but I'm even more glad that the time they spent in the "gap" wasn't spent complaining. I know, right? Maybe later he'll take an XML to it -- that'll learn it!
  7. I'm not saying it's impossible for a show to stay on for 10 years, just highly unlikely. 5 or 6 is considered a pretty good run, I think.
  8. So I guess she's not dead!
  9. I am soooooo tired of Hakeem singing the same damn song Every Single Time (this one was faster but the lyrics remain dumb as dirt and just standard rap crap). BTW, Tiana, that should be a HUGE clue that Hakeem is never going to grow up. Get over his skank ass. I thought that was incredibly dumb. Becky got permission to use the school auditorium (and time) and taught the band a song which wasn't even finished, all in one afternoon. Yeah, right.
  10. The mistake Hoffman and other made was not paying the schools directly. That's called an "endowment" and is completely legal (I could mention names of some who got into college by this method, but I think we all know who they are). But paying the schools indirectly is called a "bribe" and is a crime.
  11. All it takes is a small spray, so the cure matches the cause.
  12. One thing I forgot to mention: In any other show, the scene of Agent (that's his name now!) teaching Amy how to shoot a bow and arrow, she didn't hit the bull's eye on her last try. She didn't even hit the target -- she hit the paper just below it. But that was a "You've got the idea, now you need to refine it" moment that it worked for me.
  13. Maybe she's only 98% dead???
  14. Clark and Sykes both turned by Babcock? I smell THREESOME!!!
  15. We can hope -- and possibly recreated the cure so she doesn't have the bloodlust
  16. This is immaterial. I can say (and shout and stamp my feet) "I am an astronaut -- it is the core of my being!!!" It doesn't make me one. Shaun's sense of entitlement is that just because he wants (or even needs) to be a surgeon doesn't mean that he gets to be one. His failure to even TRY to compromise with Han -- instead of repeating the non-argument of "I am a surgeon!" -- just reinforced Han's opinion. But I am repeating myself, so this is my last post on the subject. I think the bigger gaffe is that not one of the Board said "Publish and be damned". And asked if Han would go on record about releasing any embarrassing information bout the Board.
  17. Who's (possibly) alive in 97 years? The 12, Lila, Brad, Lear, Clark Who's (almost certainly) dead? Guilder (and his mustache), Lacey (boo!), Sykes (double boo!!!) Anyone else? I know!!!! I was about to recommend this show for having 2 black female leads, and one recurring but oh well!
  18. I have two, and they're very different from each other: Gotham is dark and mindless; Legends of Tomorrow is silly and mindless. Neither bears much thinking about what's going on. "It's Gotham, Jim!"
  19. Between psycho Lauren and her psycho parents, being out in the snow is probably the MOST normal that baby is going to be.
  20. I think most shows just have an un-notarized signature. I know Greenleaf did as well.
  21. There's no such thing as the "friend zone". If you're friends with someone and want to take it further but they don't, you either stay their friend, period, or move on. If you're their friend JUST so you can take it further, you're not really their friend.
  22. I'm with Han -- Shaun lost any lawsuit he may have had by the breakdown in Han's office. He could have written a report on why a compromise with him being largely in Pathology (where his diagnostic skills work best), with the occasional surgical consult, where his visual skills work best, with one copy to Han and one copy to Andrews (who has the power to override ANY decision by Han). Perhaps, Shaun can't be moved or fired due to his autism, but he's not entitled to any job due to it either. No, Shaun, you're NOT a surgeon, no matter how loud or many times you scream it, unless the Chief of Surgery says you are. And he's being an insulting little prick to Carly by inferring that her job is inferior to surgeons. These are not nearly the same. Shaun was put in a department that his boss thought that he would be better at (and I agree). Once transferred, he's done nothing to show Han that he can cope with not getting everything his way. Han doesn't owe Shaun his job. And Shaun wasn't physically attacked in any way. Good question. You'd think he'd have an opinion, one way or the other, about Shaun vs Han, and he has the power to fire either or both. That's what I think he would be best at.
