Agree to disagree. I think Wendy is much more aware of what she's doing, so it doesn't bother me as much. (It doesn't hurt that I think she's one of the more attractive people this episode.)
-
Nah, Wendy has a fun personality and Warthog (I love the nicknames you folks have given him) is a low-life. The chef is more likely to give Wendy an Angus burger with extra cheese and WH a shit sandwich. I know I would!

Watched the first episode and gave it a Hard Pass. The questions were interesting, and a wide degree of difficulty (except that one guy who got trivial questions [#SorryNotSorry] until the very end, and the astronaut whose first question was hard to see even when stopped). But... "AVA" [yuck!] moved way too slow for it to be much of a game-changer and the timer not stopping during movement, or the pause before "Correct" was just bad. I won't be back.

I stuck with because, for all its faults (and as you say, there are many), it's still has momentary flashes of genius (mostly the Nygma/Cobblepot frenemy scenes -- right from Season 1, they were a pair that worked so well together). And only one other show (Legends of Tomorrow) has embraced its bat-shit craziness, lampshaded with "It's Gotham, Jim".

I seem to recall him saying some things like that to both Jamal and Andre. And let's not forget that he put Jamal in the freaking trash.

It was a sports equipment catalog (apparently, the school wants all kids to get their equipment from the same store, regardless of the sport they're playing).
-
I'm glad that they're wrapping it up, and that they knew beforehand that this was the end. I'm ready for Sunday (1st new episode) and Mondays (all other episodes).
-
Nygma/Cobblepot are pretty close though!

Not where I live. The only store that has a gas station nearby is Costco. The local grocery store has a gas station nearby, but getting from one to the other is a hassle (and it's one of the more expensive stations).

Since we were talking about Claws: the other advantage that show has over this one is that those ladies wouldn't hesitate to cap a b***. Mary Pat should replace Beth as the brains of the operation. She might be scared of Rio, but she'd stand up to him (or find a way around him) better than the trio has.

S02.E15: The Book of the Apocalypse, Chapter One: The Alpha

Especially since it looks like he shot her in the back and she went down. I expected the next thing to be a "POW! POW!" and that would be the end of her. Talk about THICK Plot Armor!!! -
I thought Miggy looked better, actually. I was sad for no Prince reference, though, especially given the color of the hat.
-
And didn't the editor spefically site the Millenial Prophet as what he wanted Cara to cover (in which case she just says that she has a conflict of interest).

No one watched this week or it was too meh to comment? None of the stories really resonated with me. And Rory was way over the top.

A Million Little Clues: Spoilers And Discussion

More like Jackie Oh-NO!!!, amiright??? -
I want to see a movie headlined by Saiyya Sidney and Marsai Martin (Diane on black-ish) . These two young women are so accomplished -- I'm sure great things await them.
-
I personally think it's a hugge fake-out and that Chimney's going to be fine. Unless the actor wanted to leave, he's got THICK Plot Armor. It was the flying tackle by the other two officers that made my day. WHAP!!! The newscast playing in the kidnappers house said that both were 'stable". Just ask Arachne! That was very cool.

BOOOO! Still, this is only "possible" and won't be sure until May. And there's always a chance it can find a home elsewhere.
-
I certainly don't think that Deac was "reminding Annie of her place". I just wanted to point out that we know that Annie is willing (and possibly even happy) to go back to work, but Deac's pride stopped her (because she likes the roles they play in the marriage).

So some people can accept that Miles and Cara are finding these people and getting them resolution in a day or two, but can't accept that they go right to the correct spot in Morningside Heights? Ooooookaaaaayyyy... That's what I thought too. I think a channel claiming exclusive right to a broadcast is pretty standard stuff. The shows on CNN or Fox News probably have an exclusive rights clause. The same probably applies to shows on Sirius XM. As I said in my previous comment, this was discussed at length in the Race and Ethnicity forum. Both job placements were unbelievable -- the first would never have given him the job without the background check (and a drug test). And not only would he need to pass both tests to work as a Ranger, he'd probably have to pass a written and a physical test. But "God Account", so, ok..

At least the women on Claws know that they're not Good Girls, and they know that any association with mobsters (in their case the Dixie Mafia) tarnishes them, I think at first it may have been curiosity, but then she had to know if Mama Boomer gave up on her son. She was crying because of the toll Leslie's death will have on his mother. We know he was a slimy, loathsome toad, but to her, he was a loving dutiful son. He put her happiness ahead of a chance at a clean get-away. I agree with @PsychoDrone -- but we can agree to disagree.

While Viola Davis is radiant, she's 53, hardly the same category as Violett Beane, who is 22. Not only are Michalela and Asher broken up, she's now with a man almost as dark as she is. But this belongs more in Race and Ethnicities (where we've talked about this, and other aspects of colorism) quite a bit.

The equivalent is "bro code", which is hardly adult.

And it was earned because we could see how he set it up, with a clear plan and knowing how Terry and Holt would act. And he wasn't mean about it for no reason, like Gina is. ETA: my wife fell asleep the first time we watched (not a criticism of the show!), so we watched it again. Her reaction to Amy's "Oooooooh nooooooo!" was worth the watch. She doesn't know who Lin-Manuel is (I know, but I love her anyway!), so some of the jokes at his expense kind of went over her head, but she enjoyed it anyway.

She brought it up and he strongly shot it down, just as he shot down all other offers to help.
