Can someone remind me about "Bingpot"? I'm perfectly fine with being a Jake and smiling when I get the victory music -- especially on a Friday or Saturday (when the puzzles are their hardest).

Well, it is VERY good TV, so there is that...

1) Considering that this show is teetering on the brink, ratings-wise, I'm not sure cliffhanger or not or what form really matters much. 2) If I was the cat lady, I'd have told Beth "Sucks to be you." and moved off. Cat lady disn't owe her one speck of explanation. Differ'nt strokes -- I like them. Truth. Think about it. In a more realistic situation, Beth would have told the Creepy-Car Dude "You need me". He would have told her that she's a f**** mule, a dime a dozen and shot her, then taken them all to "the basement" for some R&R. Rio was moving the pills just fine until she honed in; his clients wouldn't put up with her s***.

Everybody gets older. No reason to shame someone for that.

Yeah, I'm not sure that he works there any more (in as much as he ever did!). Simon certainly didn't mention it, although that was probably due to time constraints.

If Cookie really wanted best for Andre, she'd let someone who obviously knew what she was talking about tell her what was going on. Cookie was out of line -- "toxic motherhood" in this case, matching "toxic masculinity toe-to-toe.

Weighing on the Andre-Teri vs Cookie fight: Teri is a nurse who thoroughly researched thoroughly Andre's disease and found a strong, aggressive program that seems to be working. Cookie spent 5 minutes on the Internet (note that she didn't recognize any of the words Teri used) and thinks she knows better. Just no. Family is family, but they can still be wrong and way out of line.

This has turned into a humorless slog, and I really don't give a crap which of the three sides (The Master and her gang, Pilgrim and his gang, or not-Quinn and his gang) wins. Hypocritical Sonny, who killed a LOT of women as Quinn's Cog, can bite me. But I'm sure the show will end with him and The Widow making up and walking hand in hand into New Azra. Blech. Hailey just learned an important truth (that Nick forgot,apparently): If you do something you like for imaginary money, it's fun. If you do it for real money, it becomes a job.

Maybe... mumble mumble... But, damn. If you need to sell 20 cars at the "normal" rate (say 10% above Blue Book, just to give a random number) to make $200,000, then you need to sell 200 cars at 10% of the normal rate. The further you drop the price, the more cars you need to sell to make the same net. Duh!

SWAT is doing good at having continuing story-lines (Chris dating the poly couple, Deacon's money problems) without becoming serialized. Same, too, with 9-1-1. Neither show lends itself to the Big Bad and the Bigger Bad that drives most serials these days. I would say that my "religion" is empiricism. If it can't be tested, how do I knowit's true, especially if there are competing hypotheses. Why believe in one "flavor" of God but not another when both have equal proof? Occam's Razor says to distrust them both. Faith works for you, and I'm glad. It works wonders for my wife as well, so I don't disparage faith in others (as long as they don't bother others!).

Both the new SWAT and God Friended Me are on the regular network and have black male leads (GFM has several other black main characters and one Indian one; SWAT has a Latina and an Asian male in main roles). That's about all I watch on CBS, network or subscription, though.

So superwoman Beth, who can't do basic math (which is OK, because neither can the writers) is going to own the Biggest Baddest Mostest Wonderfulest car dealership in Detroit because... mommy-power! The men on this show are painted with the broadest strokes to make them sooooo bad -- how could super-cool (Ice queen) Beth see in a schlub like Dean? He's just sooooooo awful!!! Greg wasn't hated enough so they had to make him a cheating jerk (it's different with Beth and Rio -- it's not cheating because... Dean deserves it!!!). The FBI guy has to be a bumbling fool. And Rio is not cool or sexy, and I want to think he's totally using Beth. He sees that she loves thinking she has power, so he lets her pretend she has some. The only guy worth a damn is Stan. I'm sure they'll find a way to make him crap too, too promote super-cool Beth. I think I'm hate-watching now, and counting down the days to Claws.

I personally like Bishop the most of all the characters, and think she is the strongest. One hand, a committed relationship to his gf. On the other, a do-it-yourself exorcism. Yeah, not really feeling the mom here.
