I don't mind Che! In fact if they keep Che and write about their adventures but turf the awful Miranda/Cynthia Nixon character I'd be all for it. She's a brainless shrew who grates on my nerves in every scene she's in! I didn't find the first ep too bad. I'm not watching it with the attention I gave the original series (I watch this while jogging on the treadmill) but it's serviceable so far and I enjoy the clothes! And Richard Burton 😍

I liked the Vegan truck. They seemed like nice, calm people and their food looks decent even to a big meat eater like me. The Hawaiian truck winning is a foregone conclusion I think. They'll just lean on their coconut wireless like another Hawaiian team did many seasons ago. I remember thinking that team had crappy food and they still won easily.

Really enjoying this! Michel Roux's expressions are top notch entertainment. I like the two other judges too. I'm always so cautious about new judges but I've always enjoyed UK Judges. I remember being iffy about Monica when she was first introduced and then she was amazing!!!!! In the second ep I was so sure that the sprout dish with mackerel would tank so that was rather a surprise. I hope we see more episodes about costing. I like the emphasis on profitability, it's not something we see much on cooking shows.

Yup we're probably going to lose Ralph who is the one I like the most! I'm sure of it. Weakest top 10 for me in years!

Declan is a sweetie. I loved him in the team challenge. He tries unlike that incompetent Cath who flaps around like a useless chicken in every team challenge. I warned to Malissa too. Haha I think it's probably just incompetent Cath, making everyone look better. I always enjoy the Curtis episodes. He's very strict! I feel like the contestants get a shock when they realize how strict he is!

She writes beautifully. And on a very irrelevant and shallow note, she is so pretty😍😍😍

I've been waiting for you guys! As always I'm behind but only by one episode this time! I miss the hilarious recaps they had last year but with Jock's death there's probably not much scope to poke fun at things.

Oh I was so torn when they announced Monica coming back. Looooooove Monica and am thrilled to have her back but I was pretty fond of Anna too and thought she did a great job so I'm sad that I won't see her again.

I just watched Ep24 and Rue is grating on my last nerve. I think I hit peak distaste when she had that irritating giggle and said she is going to hope that her team mates bail her out of this one. Am enjoying the show otherwise though! It's interesting because I watch a lot of cooking reality TV (it's my weakness) and Ep24 confirmed how generous the MasterChef franchise is with their time limits (even the UK version). Most of the other shows I watch have very tight time limits and 30 minutes would be considered a treat. Granted most of the other shows I watch deal with professionals.

Ooh I wouldn't mind a finale of Theo, Declan and Brent. I'd be happier if they swap Brent for Grace but besides Grace most of the ladies really bug me this season. The three you suggested @katisha is much less offensive than a finale of Malissa, Rhiannon and Cathy/Rue. Yikes to that thought!

I'm going to come out and say it. I don't like Malissa. Just the way she spells her name irritates me and she can't cook anything but pasta and sometimes she can't even execute that properly!!!! Grace however, I find delightful! Love reading all your comments by the way! I felt like I should make an effort to post lest you all stop commenting because I enjoy reading your comments so much!

Omg I'm so happy to hear someone voice this because as soon as Jaleesa was eliminated I was feeling all vindicated since she was a crappy baker who should not have won her season!!! I was all "Ha! Sherry and Stephanie agree with me that she's a crappy baker, wooooohoooooo!!!!"

If not Gail (because Gail will always be my first choice) maybe they can go with Eric Adjepong. Eric is great on Alex vs America, he's really fun with Alex and some of the judges. He's also incredibly handsome and you can dress him up in different outfits as well. Brooke would be good as well. I've always enjoyed her as a judge and find her constructive without trying for sound bytes. I hate it when they're mean just to be "clever." Kristen could be good, she's really good with Alton. My only reservation about anyone NotGail is the possible lack of warmth. Padma, although she was absolutely fabulous and had a divine diva aura, was incredibly warm and sincere. Gail has that warmth too and for me that's an essential characteristic that the new host must have.

Gail if she's willing!!! She was charming when she hosted Top Chef Desserts and she's a great fashion plate too! I love her style!

Omg I thought I was the only one who loved this. I loved his weird head gear that looked like tea towels and his ranting and chanting with the contestants hanging onto every word!!! Bring him back!!!!

I'm so sad that Ali left. Can't say that I'm going to be mad nomatter who wins. Buddha is just in a league of his own. Sara I absolutely love and she's a great chef. Gabri is a hot mess but he's so endearing from a human perspective, I can't say that I'd be disappointed if he pulled it out of a hat and won. I'm pretty ok with things other than being sad that we're without Ali and Amar. One of the curses of a season with talented and likeable people.

Sara's a good egg. In her season when Kelsey won, she was an excellent sport. I can't remember the details but it stood out to me in all the seasons because despite her disappointment she really was celebrating Kelsey.

Aww it always makes me so happy to hear stuff like this and to know that they are friends in real life! Interesting that Ali seems to gravitate towards the extroverts Amar and Sarah.

I read the comments on here before watching the episode and expected Buddha to break out into a dance after he won, rubbing the other contestants faces in it. Obviously he did no such thing and had what I thought was a very muted response to winning in front of the others. He celebrated in his talking heads but why shouldn't he. I bet if he didn't, people would probably accuse him of humble bragging. I must admit I'm a bit sensitive to the "Buddha is over prepared and calculating posts." There seems to be disdain for methodical high achievers these days. Back to the episode, Buddha absolutely deserved that win. His plate looked amazing. Everything else was really amateur and dodgy (Gabri's sponge was ok but I really had to squint to accept that it was a sponge) whereas the stuff on Buddha's plate was so tricky it looked like he went, bought cherries, olive etc and plated them up!

I'm fond of Declan. I find him very good natured and I have a soft spot for people like that. I find that often the MC Au contestants are actually fine but the editing for them is incredibly annoying in an attempt to make them "compelling". I remember Julie, when she came back, had a really cool sense of humor that you'd see crop up but they loved editing her as some Nervous Nelly with confidence issues. That said, I'm not fond of the girl who claimed that she created the cucumber dish for the team challenge last week. I've been side eyeing her since. Didn't like the one with the magic apron who went home either. I don't think she was a very good cook! Like the guy who makes bread!!!!!
