  1. A Rush reference, yes!!!! :)
  2. I hate, hate, HATE (did I mention hate?) Abbie and her raspy, self-righteous, know-it-all shit spewing. *WHEW* that feels good!
  3. This is why I love this board...just when I think I'm all alone in an opinion I find someone who agrees with me :)
  4. Thank you! I got holy hell at TWOP for saying not only did I think Avery was matronly, but that I thought when compared to MS Phyllis it was Avery who looked like the older sister. I still stand by that assessment. ETA: I think she looks like the older sister when compared to GT Phyllis as well.
  5. OK, I should not have taken that gulp of coffee before reading that bolded part :)
  6. Those headlines were so ridiculously funny, in an irreverent way (which is my sense of humor to a t). I couldn't agree more about the "after school special" stories. I thought the lung cancer one was particularly bad. That little tidbit actually made me snort! By the way, were we supposed to laugh at Rick charging out of bed holding his side as he went after Ridge? Because if we were, mission accomplished!
  7. I think it would insult Emily's intelligence, not mine.
  8. In season 1 I really didn't like Emily, and I SO hoped that they went this route. Even though I ended up liking Emily, I wish this would have happened, at least it's a twist nobody would have seen coming.
  9. I thought Louise might have felt that way when she saw Victoria was alive, but didn't Louise hug her and call her "mama" at that point? Then next thing I know she's going to Emily and Nolan to tell them she knew where Victoria was. I don't recall seeing that "a ha!" look on her face as she realized she was being duped. ETA...it just hit me, I suppose Louise calling Victoria "mama" meant that Victoria is no better than her manipulative mama.
  10. I don't want to derail the thread, but I'll agree to disagree, I think it's more surprising how often a "perceived slight" is just that...perceived. Agreed, public shame is just wrong. Actually, any shame over that is just wrong...it is her behavior that is bad. Edited the hell out of this to fix bad quotes, sorry!
  11. I agree, I don't think that tying a show up means that there has to be final final resolution for every character. Mason's ending wasn't ambiguous, so I don't see the need to revisit him as a character. I saw it mentioned that Amanda's mother was also an unresolved plot hole. Her story had already been resolved, I only think that character's appearance would have wasted time, especially being that the finale was only an hour. I am really surprised the "ambiguity" of the heart transplant is being discussed by the actors/showrunners, I thought it was quite obvious it was a dream. I'm not understanding how an unconscious in a hospital bed Amanda would have heard Charlotte discussing it with the doctor. One thing I did miss, though. At what point did Louise realize she was being manipulated?
  12. I'd love to see Nick take a long walk off a short pier. How dare he sanctimoniously threaten Ridge under the assumption that Maya would be fired for being transgender. Does Nick even have the slightest clue what a condescending, nasty, manipulative piece of work Maya is? Or is he one of those giant chip on his shoulder type of people who love to cry discrimination at every perceived slight, when said slight has zero to do with their situation? I also love him stating how all gay people feel about coming out, as opposed to how all transgender people feel about coming out. If he would have stated how he felt about coming out vs how gay friends felt about coming out, that would have been perfectly fine, but IMO stating as a fact how an entire group feels about something is wrong on so many levels.
  13. :) What offends me is the fact that the one and only thing I was looking forward to was Rick finding out via Google alert, but now Maya, defender of truth, justice, and the American way gets to tell him first :( All this build up about will Nicole out the secret? will Wyatt? will Bill? will Carter? All of that FOR NOTHING!!!
  14. You people are cracking me up about "loading dock guy" :) I SO hope against hope that he's the one who outs Maya :)
  15. Every designer is going to have some clunkers (and that picture you posted was certainly one!), but Rick behaves as though the designers have nothing to with the company's success, and that's just wrong. Any decent CEO (Rick's CEO in case you didn't know) will say that their company's success is a result of their employees' efforts...whether they mean it or not :)
  16. When I read this, I thought oh, Parise made a shot & it was saved. I guess I've been watching hockey announcers too long :)

    All Episodes Talk

YES! She annoyed me from her 1st appearance.
  18. I do agree, but I think the point is that if the designs were no good, the profits wouldn't be so great. The Forresters need to realize it's the team contributing to the profits, not any one person. PLEASE in the name of all that is holy no Bill & Steffy! But if it does happen, it will once again show what a hypocrite Steffy is, after scolding her father for being with a younger woman.
  19. Yeah, when Maya & Rick talk, do they ever discuss sports? Movies? Current events? The only thing those two have in common is mutual admiration/worship. But how? They don't know a damn thing about each other.
