Me too! I rewatched the earlier episodes a few times this summer but I've been looking forward to new more than I thought. And hammered on the Drew/Hudson door so hard Nancy thought it was their mysterious disappearing visitor. I love her. I clapped when I saw her name on the credits. Having her on for a single episode guest role was such a waste so I'm glad they had a plan for her (or realized their mistake). I definitely want more of her and Carson. I recognized his face immediately but couldn't place him until I went to imdb. The accent is apparently a big part of the actor's identity for me. I agree they should have let him keep it. I'm hoping he's sticking around for a while? His imdb page listed him as FBI Profiler and only for this episode. I was worried about them dragging this out so I was very relieved everyone got on the same page immediately (except for poor Carson, of course). Is there a smaller college nearby to Horseshoe Bay? I don't think every kid/young adult needs a college degree but it is strange that no one in Nancy's group has plans to get one now. George went straight to the restaurant after high school (financially this probably would have been her best plan, at least initially); Nick didn't go back to college after his time in jail (did he mention scholarships? He would have lost those after the trial. He and George could probably use some business classes though); we don't really know Ace and Bess' ages or what their history is there (I feel like Ace's parents would be the type to not be ok with him doing nothing so I'm most curious about him. Bess may not even have finished high school if she started grifting early); and Nancy just gave up on the only college she's ever talked about attending.

I'm not sure what they're going with on this show but, in the comics, Batman was shown to collect souvenirs and display them in the Batcave. The alternative universe Bruce who had crossed the line into killing in Crisis on Infinite Earths had a case of things from his victims, including Clark Kent's glasses so it would be in character here too.

I'm pretty sure Oliver would have started printing shirts immediately if their lives hadn't been in danger. Depending on how quickly things move in the next couple of episodes, I can see him going back to that plan.

It did seem to be a stretch but I'm glad I wasn't alone in wondering. It would have been an awesome subtle clue though.

I would love to get some follow up on what the houses look like after the new owners have moved in. Do they immediately have a garage sale and redecorate? Is any of the "art" worth something? I'd also like to know more about who the new owners are. A report was just released that found Black homebuyers in metro Detroit were twice as likely to be denied mortgages compared to white homebuyers. Not the focus of the show, of course, but it might be good to highlight things like that. How difficult is it to get a mortgage in that neighborhood for a house at those low prices. Are the BB houses mostly being bought by white people? Based on what I could find on zillow (which I know isn't necessarily accurate), some of the sales mentioned on the show fell through. What happened there? Basically, I really want a behind the scenes, after-show where they focus on the nuts and bolts and not the design and relationship stuff.

Did anyone notice what Teddy and Theo were eating while they were listening to the podcast? I haven't rewatched, but my first thought was that they looked a lot like Jan's pizza rolls. I'm tempted to do that too. I've watched the episodes before this one in 2 mini-binges so not getting a new show after the credits was very disappointing.

I loved Peggy and Steve in the First Avenger so, in theory, I liked the idea of them getting together in the end. In practice, especially the way it was ultimately done, I hated it. The Mary Sue posted a pretty good analysis on why it was a bad idea that's getting worse as we get more fallout (or no fallout) last week: So Far, Marvel’s “Phase 4” Is Only Making Captain America’s Avengers: Endgame Ending Worse Also, I'm not a huge comic reader but I'm just familiar enough to get very attached to the idea of Natasha/Bucky so I will always be annoyed they chose to do such stupid things instead.

Along with all of the scrap from her carving.

I gave a pair of hand knit socks to my ~8-year-old nephew and he was super excited that he couldn't stay up on his parent's vinyl flooring so there are definitely sock/flooring combinations that would give kids a fun skating experience.

Lego Masters (USA) - General Discussion
akg replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Lego Masters (USA)
On the show's diversity, it was really nice to see a Black puppet after so many episodes of yellow minifigs and characters. -
I can't remember the details from Supergirl. Was the existence of Argo common knowledge? Lois may have mentioned something about an article but that was before the possible time shifting of the twin's birth. It's possible Edge has no idea there are more Kryptonians who survived and Clark wouldn't have wanted to endanger them by sharing. I know it's probably a case of the writers not wanting to go on record so they can make changes later but I really wish tptb would clarify how this show fits into the Arrowverse and how Crisis on Infinite Earth affected things (other than adding a twin and aging them up somehow). Not knowing is extremely frustrating.

Hopefully they hold off on the Clark = Superman reveal. Just seeing her mom married to another guy is going to be bad enough. I've apparently gotten very attached to Nat from just the flashbacks because I was very happy to see her at the end. Especially with the bonus of keeping her dad around. In addition to the Lois and Nat storylines we'll be seeing next season, I hope we get some of Nat with Jon. Jon bonded a bit with her dad over the suit and weaponry which was a Nat and John thing so they have a few things in common that could bring them together (or cause some rivalry). I'd love to see them navigating a sibling/cousin relationship. Lana's call to her mom as they were evacuating made me so happy. I had expected the writers to continue their trend of not acknowledging the youngest Cushing so it was a surprise to see she was remembered by her family. And her being with grandma retroactively explains every other disappearance for me. I loved that too. The twins relationship has consistently been one of my favorite parts of this show and it was nice to see that highlighted here. I really like this take. Technically, there isn't a relationship there but that's not how things are going to feel for any of them. He had what looked like a cast on his arm (mostly hidden by his sleeve) in his scenes with John when they were working on the hammer so the DOD much have taken a look. I can't see Lois letting him skip an evaluation once she heard what happened.

This is so annoying and was especially obvious in this episode.

I liked her message, especially since women lifting each other up isn't something we see often in pop culture (which Andrea mentioned). Most movies or tv shows would either never have two women interacting or they'd be jealous or catty. But that's not what I experience in real life. I love the feeling when another woman compliments what I'm wearing. Or the look on her face when I saw something nice about her outfit. Without seeing the entire video, I'm not sure how well Andrea captured that but the concept worked for me.

His dresses also have big/low armholes (I have no idea how to describe them) so not even a strapless bra would work.

This is one of my few complaints with some of Gary's dresses (like this one). It's so pretty but finding a bra (which I'd need) to wear under it would be a challenge.

Keep an eye out for coupons. Jo-ann's (at least the last time I shopped there) would take them from Hobby Lobby and Michael's as long as what you're buying is sold in the other store (so no Michael's coupons for fabric). Speaking of fabric (and back on topic), Gary could definitely have a side business in selling just fabric by the yard.

It looks like caution tape! I really can't imagine anyone wearing it. Me too. I loved his prints and would be very happy with a t-shirt or two but not at those prices. Sorry, Gary. I do hope it does really well though and he gets more recognition from it. Online seems like the best way for Gary to sell. He can think out everything he wants to say in advance and shoppers can decide how much they want to dig into his process before they buy.

I thought it was very telling that there was no video flashback to his win or update on what he's doing now. The show's money is definitely helpful but it doesn't guarantee success.

Gary's collection Angela's collection Wow, there is absolutely nothing in Angela's collection that I would even consider buying.

Colombia Angela's winning look on Amazon.

The Mary Sue posted an article today, Nancy Drew and the Curse of Underrated Television which has some very nice things to say about the show.

I'm always annoyed (here and on PR) when the judges hate something Tim recommended but he doesn't take ownership of his advice. Yes, the designer could ignore him but, since he's the 'expert', that's always considered a huge risk.
-
I did appreciate that they appeared to have recruited a diverse array of influencers but was not surprised that one of the white women was chosen in the end.

It's there, next to the jacket. Here's it's own page.
