I agree there probably isn't much there and she should stick with the cash jobs to save what's in her account for emergencies. I just think she might be better off not risking an atm more than she needs to. She only withdrew $460 in this episode which was enough for her car plus a little extra. If that's everything, it was a nice coincidence that it cost $400 for her car.

Aw, I love Breanna. She had absolutely no reason to help that woman and take time away from her job in the con but she did and it made a huge difference to the frog lady's life. Having the frogs tied in with the main con was a bonus.

Once Adrien Brody realized Charlie was investigating the murder of her friend, I was very impressed how careful he was about not lying to her. Cliff didn't seem to be as thoughtful about what he said, which fits.

I don't know how much she has in her account and it's probably not safe to leave a lot of cash in her car but she probably should have just withdrawn everything so she wouldn't have to worry about being tracked. Even if she's quick to leave the next time, she's still giving Cliff a location to start from.

That's what I thought they were but, before I could become completely horrified, the camera panned to show a Black man in one so I figured we'd be avoiding that level of awful. I loved that, even though Breanna wasn't in the museum for anything related to the frogs (I'm not actually sure why she was there), she jumped right in and combined her part of the con with helping this nice lady she just met. And, by getting her so many young volunteers, plus getting such great results on the study, the frog woman will have support going forward.

Thanks! I was completely wrong on that. Yeah, I'm not impressed with Damian's ability to judge the level of danger. Although he would probably have been ok if he hadn't been distracted by winning $25K.

From the discussion on S01.E03: The Stall I was impressed with how Charlie managed to take care of the murderers in this episode after leaving town. I wasn't really expecting the podcast woman to reappear (Chekhov's podcast?). I wonder if we'll see her again. She could be useful. I noticed that too. Poor Charlie.

I can't remember exactly but I got the impression the knife was something Damian always had with him. Maybe from his military days, although I know a few guys who never served who carry a knife constantly. One keeps losing them to TSA because it's so normal to him that he forgets and doesn't think to leave it at home.

I'm very impressed with the casting for the cat man. He's exactly what I would picture for the cat they hired (who is gorgeous). And he's a very good actor (the man (the cat too)).

He'd just taken a quick bathroom break, right? I can totally see him as the kind of guy who who doesn't see the people who do work around him. His room just gets cleaned while he's out, like magic. Why would he need to worry?

And the corresponding knowledge! The kind of people who would listen to a quilting program on the radio would be able to identify him as a fake pretty quickly so he's done some research.

I loved that the emails were all x@x.com. Did she look them up? Was she just assuming? Was it a tv thing? Poor Oprah (or her assistant). I hope Charlie's email had a warning in it.

I wish that were true for me. That is beautiful. And a good explanation. I also thought Cliff was going to end up hurt and wondered why his nephew didn't try to stop him but I'm not a car person and was expecting a more explosive result from Creepy Guy's sabotage. Brake lines make much more sense. Although, if anyone looked into Charlie's future accident, they might notice and it would come back to the body shop.

The radio guy also called the wife using Taffy's voice which prompted her to turn her co-conspirator over to the police. The call was recorded and he played her confession during his MAGA show (knowing the cops would be listening which was a nice touch) so the wife would be arrested as well.

And he ends up adopted at the end which made me happy (even MAGA dogs deserve a home).

Charlie realized that most truckers had dash cams that were recording 24/7 and that she had seen a truck facing the auto body shop which would have captured the murder. All she could remember about it, however, was that it had an animal on the sides (cue singalong in diner). Once the other truckers figured out which truck she was talking about and their call sign, they could contact him and ask for the recording to be sent to the police. It would have shown that the creepy kid killed Damian. I have Charlie's problem with words sometimes so it's kind of nice to see her struggle. My mind tends to go to movies or tv shows instead of music though.

I just blew through all of season 1 so I am thrilled to hear this.

I wasn't sure who to feel bad for in the battle of the sisters. They were both being awful (although I think Jen was a little justified). I did not have that problem with Carrie and Jen. The former/current (but trying!) bully did her a favor by making her relive the times Jen took advantage of their friendship. I'm sure things will end up fine between them but now Jen will have to work for it.

I knew Kash was crossing a line with his jumps back in time in earlier episodes, but they mostly played for laughs and he's been so much fun with Carrie that it didn't really hit me how creepy he was until this episode. I really hope the break-up is permanent. There's no way Carrie should trust him again. I'm glad Jen also came a realization with the flying guy. The fact that he was bad for her was a lot more obvious earlier on. Good for Jen's mom for finally paying attention to what was going on in her daughter's life, even if that still came with blame and guilt.

Aw, I liked Damian and really didn't want him to be the victim. I don't know if it was just convenience or not but I also liked that Charlie had the lotto ticket girl help find the real murderer. And I loved all of the truckers helping figure out who Charlie was looking for. I'm worried about Charlie's new trucker friend though. She'd worked so hard to stay off the grid and she's definitely back in the system now.

I agree. I'm not really a music person and don't always notice it in the background of shows but I kind of want a soundtrack of this. I got hooked on the show pretty much immediately (free cat!) and ended up marathoning the entire series.

It would have been nice if they'd mentioned the kid again but I just figured, even if the police considered arresting her, they would have known a rich white lady wasn't going to be given a guilty verdict. Her husband got drunk, drove to the teacher's house with a gun, and shot the guy and there were no consequences to that (even though Paul's suspicions were right, he still broke a few laws that night).

I'm So Disappointed In You: Celebrity Missteps
akg replied to OtterMommy's topic in Everything Else TV
I have absolutely no experience with guns so I have no idea if my logic makes sense but, to me, the difference is area of expertise. Theoretically, during a career, an actor could be asked to handle many different types of guns, each requiring a different way to determine safety levels (some have a bullet in the chamber, some don't...). It's not the actors job to study that and remember the details (although some may pick up some knowledge over time). That's what the armorer is for. And the rules reflect this: the actor is supposed to only accept a gun from the armorer who knows more about the many weapons used and can (or should) be trusted to do the correct safety check. I'm just thinking that if I were cast in a movie like Rust, I would have no idea how to check my gun for live bullets and be confident about my conclusions. And I wouldn't necessarily want to be responsible for that, even after training. My job would be to remember lines and marks and act.- 1.4k replies

Something I found interesting were Faith's comments on her mother (which I can't remember exactly). It sounded like, whatever her mother did, Faith knew it was wrong so she's at least not blaming Will for a false accusation.
