  1. Hey! I wasn't admiring all of the things Keith was stapling to walls (I can't imagine sleeping under that wooden spiderweb), just an existing wall. And I would definitely have painted over it in that house.
  2. Thanks! I have no idea why my google could not find that. I have a confession. I actually liked the chipped paint wall. I'm not sure I'd want it in my house, taking up a whole wall but I would definitely consider buying a smaller, framed version.
  3. I really like the concept of this show but there are definitely issues. I think it would play better if they'd hired some Detroit locals instead of two white guys from Denver. And I feel like they could skip the decorating/furnishing (especially Keith's 'themes') (although I might be ok with that part if someone else was choosing colors). I was relieved to hear Evan talk about inspections and building codes in episode 2 so the homes are hopefully safe for the new owners. Things I do like: improving an existing neighborhood and raising the home values for the rest of the people on the street restoring homes rather than replacing them with cookie cutter houses (this is assuming the final product is safe) (I like a house with character and a history) pricing the houses for first time home owners. I live on the other side of the state and my city could really use more starter homes like this (I know nothing about Detroit real estate so I'm taking their word on all the money stuff) that there have been hints that Evan and Keith have been interacting with their temporary neighbors who are excited to follow their progress through the neighborhood (I loved the woman across the street last night who asked if she could come over as soon as the realtor put the open house sign up) In addition to what I mentioned above, I don't like the editing. I feel like I've missed something when they just start in an almost finished house. And the two guys should not be part of the showings. That has to be awkward for the people house shopping (even if there isn't a weird self-portrait of one of them in the living room). Does anyone know where in Detroit this is? I'm very curious how many houses they ended up flipping on this street/block. We've seen 6 homes so far, right?
  4. I felt a little bit bad for the assassin. He was probably told it would be an easy job, just show up and kill the tiny Chinese woman. It's good that Nicky isn't super jaded but she's being way too naïve in expecting the bad guys to do the right thing just because she confronts them (the boyfriend and casino owner last week, the owner and actual bad guy (I forget his title) this week).
  5. Thank you, ElectricBoogaloo! They left some steps out but I can accept that as an explanation. I wondered if maybe it's better to let Everett go for the moment, now that they have this information. Everett was clearly planning ahead to frame his son and he may have started with this trial if he thought there was a chance of a guilty verdict.
  6. Grant-related question: We know Ace hacked into some secure database to find his brother (and had to report back what the gang was doing to the original sheriff last season). Do we know why Ace knew there was something to hack for? Or does this go into the same hand wave bucket as the 'why did the reporter decide to test Nancy's DNA and no one else's?' question? I'm very excited about the DA. I loved her on Eureka and am hoping we see more of her. She and Carson worked well together.
  7. But why Nancy, of all people? The Drews had a good cover story and no one has questioned it (Nancy would be all over any gossip about her family and, in a town that size, she'd have heard something if any rumors existed). She's the right age but so are plenty of other kids in town (and out of town, what if Lucy had put her child up for adoption and it had ended up in California).
  8. Can you refresh my memory on this? I know Nancy has crossed paths with Ryan's mother but can't remember why mom would suspect that Nancy is her grand daughter (I really enjoy this show but my brain is mush and I probably should have rewatched season 1 before starting this one).
  9. They haven't shown any of her thought process to come to this conclusion, have they? I know the reporter realized there was almost certainly a Ryan jr but was surprised so focused on Nancy so quickly. Or was she stealing DNA from everyone in town that's the right age? I liked that too. Especially when Nancy realized that the spell wasn't all bad; that she had actually enjoyed being able to explore those feelings. Which is something, even now, women aren't encouraged to do (no bikinis).
  10. I don't really see Nancy and the detective together but I think that's more of a perceived age thing for me. I think Nancy and the gang were in high school in all of the books I read growing up (I was much more into the Bobbsey Twins) so I keep thinking most of the main characters are under 20 even though we don't really have ages for them (do we? Nancy at least was supposed to be a freshman in college last year which would put her at 19 now). For Tamura to achieve his rank and become head of the Horseshoe Bay's police department, he'd have to be older than he looks and there would be too big of an age difference between him and Nancy (for me).
  11. I hope we find out Rosemary had a second set of twins after moving to Santa Fe. It feels wrong to not have Freddie and Flossie. Did Gil say what happened to their dad? I remember Gil saying something about dad being in jail when their mom was "killed" but I thought that was a brief stay. I love Carson as the Crew's dad. Other than Ace, they could all use one.
  12. This doesn't help at all with figuring out the timeline but Barry (or Barry in Iris' dream when she was still stuck in the mirror (I can't remember)) mentioned Clark in the Flash premiere. Barry was treating Iris to her favorite dishes from around the world and explained that the waffles (or pancakes (my memory is awful)) were from a Clark-recommended restaurant. It made the lack of Arrowverse references in S&L extra weird.
  13. I'm curious about this too. Kate was buying up property and turning it into low income housing, right? Is Luke continuing that? Will her dad (assuming he inherits everything)?
  14. I think Ryan said she'd gotten the plant from Angelique and that she had planned to give it to her mom but didn't get the chance. Since Angelique is connected to Ocean, it should be a little easier to explain the coincidence.
  15. I think Bess mentioned that her mom had thrown Bess out when she was 13 and that made her an easy mark when the "husband" needed a young, pretty girl to help with cons. I don't remember if she's mentioned a father or siblings but it does sound like she's been without family support for a while. And considering the only "friend" she during that time was just using her, I can understand why she hasn't realized her circle of friends = family.
  16. I don't know if this really makes sense but I initially thought Clark held off on the Super Clap because there were so many bystanders. When he called in to the authorities, he asked them to sent ambulances because people had been hurt. So I figured Clark had been trying to find a way to fight Kilgrave without hurting anyone else until his kids needed him and then he switched over to the quick but riskier path.
  17. I want to know whose SUV they were driving. They didn't even make an attempt to cover up the license plate.
  18. The day after Jordan discovered his "laser eyes" in the first episode, he asked Sarah if anyone had been hurt. She told him everyone was fine except for some guy who broke his arm. I got the impression he was one of her boyfriend's group.
  19. I posted this in the Superman & Lois media thread but a discussion on it probably fits better here:
  20. New interview with Nadria Tucker, the writer who was let go after raising issues with TPTB on race and other issues. Everything I've seen on this focuses mainly on Captain Luthor but they should probably also mention that the only? other Black character is Sarah's boyfriend who has been angry and violent every time we've see him.
  21. I agree about many complaints about the lack of Arrowverse characters showing up to help but I can explain this one to myself. I don't think the Kryptonite was showing when Mary looked at the wound (I refuse to believe Mary wouldn't have said something) and Ryan has no reason to connect the green in her shoulder to anything in particular. Mary and Luke wouldn't have told her about Supergirl's weakness or even her friendship with Kate (if they even know. I don't remember who was involved in what during the crossovers last season). Oh, what did Vesper say about Wolf Spider at the beginning? I was only half paying attention and it seemed like a lot of exposition.
  22. I liked that Mary mentioned that the rent was already paid for the near future. She can definitely cover it alone or pay rent on a separate apartment for Ryan but I don't see Ryan as being someone who would be ok with that. This gives Ryan time to save up or maybe even get comfortable letting Mary take on a bigger share of the bills.
  23. I wondered what made Martin decide to kill Arroyo. At that point, the cops were still considering the call to be a prank but that would have changed quickly if the guy they sent to check things out ended up dead or disappeared.
  24. Aw, I'm sorry. Hopefully, they'll add it soon.
  25. Season 3 is finally up on Netflix!
