  1. I am watching this now and my question doesn't have anything to do with the actual subject matter. Crystal was taken to surgery. Her eyes were taped shut, which I've seen before. But her ears appeared to be covered and taped also. What was that about? I've never seen that before.
  2. Because apparently Tori will diiiieeeeee if he goes. Nevermind that he will probably beat her in a final also. She's willing to lay it all down for him. But also, just to annoy the rest of us? I wonder if they were told not to help in the elmination? Because Tori looked like she wanted to tell Jordan he had the wrong barrel but seemingly switched it up to "attention to detail" when he had the wrong sun barrel and he looked it over. If it's shown the way it really happened. And nobody helping Bananas and him realizing it? Pure Solid Gold and needs some Solid Gold dancers along with Marilyn McCoo.
  3. No Idols? Or at least not 5,000 idols and advantages? But ideally, don't tell them there are no idols and let them search away.
  4. LOL I mentioned I was watching this show with my (almost 80) ranching parents. So Imagine an hour of "What are they wearing? You can't do farm work in whore clothes!!! Why are they wearing short shorts and sweaters? If your arms are cold, so is the rest of you. That sweater hanging off her gets caught in a thresher, she's done for!"
  5. Yeah, that scene with Allen and Kiersten on the porch that devolved into crickets was just painful to watch. But I still would have paid good money ($1.50 at least) to see him send Cassidy Jo home instead. It's kind of like Survivor. Get rid of the "big player" and then he could still vote of Kiersten any ol time.
  6. This isn't a media post but I don't know exactly where else to ask it either. I came across a show the other day. I don't remember the name of it. Maybe Redneck Island. Anyway, they had male/female teams who did challenges together and then in elimination they completed separately and whoever was left over was teamed up together. For instance, Betty and Archie went into elimination against Veronica and Jughead. Betty beats Veronica and Jughead beats Archie. Veronica and Archie go home and Betty and Jughead are now partners until they come up for elimation again. Has The Challenge ever done a season like that. Other than the stupid Algorhithm thing. It could make for some interesting match-ups.
  7. I think it's along the same lines as "it was as it ever was." Adult Kat recognized that she was always at the fair where Jacob disappeared. No matter what she tried to do, he was always going to disappear because what happens always happens. Adult Elliot knows what happened in both timelines but there was nothing he could do about it. He just told Alice he would help her because he knew what was going to happen. At some point, in some time line, the letter was sent even though the people in this timeline didn't know about it. (Got a headache yet? Time travel is loopy.)
  8. I have not watched the finale yet, so I skipped the last couple of pages of posts, so I apologize if this has been addressed already, but when I read this post, I laughed in my head and started coming up with a list of reasons: 1. Independent thought. 2. Trying to own land 3. Knowing how to swim. (!!) 4. Working knowledge of algebra. And *especially* if she is in fact a modern woman gone back in time. She wouldn't fit in at all!
  9. Did I miss it here or did nobody notice the vault code? I had to stop the episode to finish laughing and singing.
  10. I don't watch The Bachelor or any of those shows but my parents are ranchers and wanted to watch this, so here we are. They don't get that channel at their house (in the boonies) so I tape it and we watch when they are here. So I'm behind. That one woman, no idea of name, who was kind of freaked out and thought this was all strange and maybe she ought to go home? The only normal woman in the bunch and he should be seriously looking at her. All the rest of it is ridiculous. Landon (I think) is probably the most normal man in that he's not all cheesy smarm and it makes his personality seem a bit of a bump-on-a-log. That's the farmers/ranchers I grew up with. And whoever ends up with him needs to understand that's what life is going to be. We also noticed all the houses were not old "farmhouse" types of homes. They were all newly built, almost looked like manufactured or modular homes. So these are not "landed gentry" type guys and hopefully the women they pick have job skills that can transfer anywhere because they are going to need them. Farming/ranching/existing is expensive.
  11. I'm probably not focusing on the things the show wants me to focus on, but at the end when they were playing with the money and Helen kept kissing and licking it, I got serious heebee jeebies. She's supposed to be smart, she should know how seriously disgusting money is. I likes me some dumb TV, but not sure I can keep going with this one. I might stick long enough to watch Tom Arnold. Unless they take forever to get to him. Was nice to see Owain Yeoman tho.
  12. I'll give this a shot. Several years ago there were some miniseries that showed over the summers at medical centers. One year they were in New York, one year in Boston, one year at Johns Hopkins maybe. I liked those and maybe this will be similar.
  13. I don't follow a lot outside of here. What happened to Nelson?
  14. There were at least two people on the show last night I had never seen before. I swear they sneak people in there to confuse me. (It can't possibly be my fault...lol.) Has there been a rule change? Probst used to always say "remember, the same person cannot sit out two challenges in a row." Yet Claire somehow managed to sit out three challenges in three episodes and it cost her her game.
  15. 15 minutes in before we even saw Bananas. I almost forgot he was there. It was nice. Man that dragged out though. No need for all that.
  16. I hate Sheila. After thinking about it, I realize I haven't liked many characters Swoozie Kurtz has played so maybe it's her I don't like. But I hate Sheila.
  17. Was it as bad as I imagine it was? I have to assume my DVR was preserving my sanity and eye muscles because it noped out of recording it.
  18. What a weird bit of Regina George Mean Girl reasoning. We assumed you were awful, so we treated you awfully, so really it's your fault for not being awful and being hurt instead.
  19. Happy for the winner. It was a good win.
  20. They do that sometimes if the event didn't result in any changes. If it was so totally boring it put everyone to sleep AND it resulted in no changes in the standings, more room watch other exciting whining montages and vomit scenes.
  21. That's my thing, too. I probably couldn't do near what Aneesa has done, but I'm not on the show, in seemingly worse shape season after season. Compared to the other people on the show, she's way out of shape. If she would do the work, then I'd be excited to see her go for it.
  22. I don't know, I've said I would follow Phil anywhere but I've been really checked out of these last two episodes. I'm not terribly thrilled about the final next week, although I will watch it. Maybe record it and blast through to the end. I hate that because I feel it could be such a good show. And I think they said the next season is already in the can so there's no chance of them fixing the issues we've had with the show.
  23. No, corn doesn't grow that high in the blink of an eye (ooh, rhyme.) They had to have built it in the corn field. But I'm sure they didn't have to go the maze route and just trucked it all to the center and built it.
  24. Whatever happened, it would have been his partner's fault.
  25. I don't understand how you can have a show about a working ranch family without showing any working ranch scenes. I like the ranching stuff that breaks up the rest of the Murder, Screw, Inc. scenes. It's a nice breather from the rest of the kill, kill, kill crap. If you only want Murder, Screw, Inc stories, there are a hundred other shows to watch.
