  1. Okay, as much as I hate the thought of Bananas winning another season, ever, I will allow it if he promises to come from behind to beat Fessy by 15 seconds. I want Fessy to be so close he thinks he has it but gets to see someone win it from him. That's what I want for Christmas.
  2. I had forgotten he was in any final other than the one with Casey.
  3. If I remember correctly, it just has to involving eating. The girl with the broken leg was perfectly willing to eat and keep going but not our precious Faysal. Wouldn't do it.
  4. Never watched BB, but have watched all seasons of the Challenge with Josh, and as far as I can tell, that wasn't much of an acting job. That's real life.
  5. Michaela says "I think Chris is playing for Chris." Well yeah!! As well he should be. As you should be too, Michaela. As everybody should be.
  6. In other words, a regular ol' midlife crisis. Mourning his youth and the fun times. Makes sense. He has always said he makes enough money outside of this and just does this for the fun.
  7. No, he'll be like all the others who whine about how they have to win because they have kids. They seem to think that makes them more deserving of winning than others. I had Dirty XXX on while I was packing boxes today and to paraphrase Cara, "it's not our fault the condom didn't work." I find the elimination highly suspect. There was some heavy, heavy editing involved if Wes won by 37 seconds. The Challengers all seemed to think Dusty did it faster, like not even a question in their minds. But somehow Wes won by 37 seconds, which is half a lifetime in Challenge time. Eh... I like Wes, I like that (generally) he's in on the joke and can laugh at himself even when he's being and over-the-top prick. But I don't think he won.
  8. Oh no. I always blast through commercials, so I must have missed that. I get kind of queasy when I see Josh trying to flirt in the hot tub. Blurgh. I don't know if it's residual man-baby vibes left over from previous seasons or what, but he skeeves me out.
  9. Yes, Ryan was definitely the better part of that pair. But he's probably too chill for this show. "Bananas and Wes are plotting against me? Oh well, at least I'm not in prison any more. It's okay." Not exactly the Challenge vibe.
  10. I heard a piece of a segment on Howard Stern Summer School yesterday with Probst. Someone asked about the repeat puzzles and how the players are building them at home and mastering them. Probst said the upcoming season or seasons will have no repeat puzzles. They thought it was interesting at first that the fans were doing that but they realized it was an issue, so no repeat puzzles for a while. If you have SiriusXM you can hear that segment on demand.
  11. Dusty = D-ball = Douche-ball. Josh is a D-ball. Yay Amanda is dead. Well, not dead, but...ding dong!
  12. I don't actually know anything about their relationship, but I feel like Cara Maria and Paulie bring out the worst in each other. They both seem relatively likeable on their own, but together they are a shit show of some kind.
  13. Any team with Fessy on it is, by definition, a sucky team. Because he sucks.
  14. I do tend to believe the conspiracy theories that production/producers protect and favor Bananas. I don't know one way or the other, but I tend to believe it. I don't especially like Paulie either, although he did seem a bit better this season, not so unhinged. But it was still early days. So either one of those guys could have gone and I wouldn't have cared. I don't know if or how they could rig this elimination. But it didn't look like Paulie's hand moved when it suddenly dumped on him. It looked weird to me. It was hysterical watching Bananas come unglued though, just because he's seeing an elimination. Man do those scare him. Another difference between Wes and Bananas. Wes just says, hey we're outnumbered, they are determined to do to us what we've done to them all along. Bananas pitches a hissy fit. How dare they try to make him play the game!!
  15. Always amusing that the vets are so offended that anyone would dare to make THEM play the game also and not just breeze through to the end. The sooner they can shush Amanda the better.
  16. Right. Wes is in on the joke. He definitely has strengths and knows them, so he can play along. Bananas is still too insecure after all this time to set himself up the way Wes does.
  17. Yeah, I don't find any of that appealing. When he said something like "I'm their nightmare," I thought "but not the way you think."
  18. I was watching something on HGTV the other day when I turned the TV off. Today when I turned it on, this show was on and I was too lazy to find the remote again. Is this the most irritating woman on tv? Holy bananas...
  19. I wanted to watch that and then something happened and I missed it. I'm glad it was good and I'll try to find it. I luvs me some Phil.
  20. Uh...I had managed to not watch that trailer before today. Is that Fessy jumping for flags at the end? Because blech. I had not seen his name on the cast. That might be reason enough to avoid the whole thing. (Eh, I'm a sucker and I'll watch. But I hate Fessy.)
  21. I was totally Team Dirty Hands, so glad they were all in the final. But that guy Todd really snuck up on me. I didn't even notice him for a long time and then there he was, really giving Ben a run for his money. I'm glad Ben won but a Todd win would have really been something. It was an exciting finish. I wonder if Kenji really did finish everything before he climbed to the finish. I noticed Ben wasn't absolutely dripping with sweat any longer when Kenji got up there, so I wonder how long it was. I liked Kenji, but when he wouldn't change on the post setting and then started sobbing, I kind of was over him. What a way to go out.
  22. On one hand, I hope they did all work to finish it, even behind the scenes. On the other hand....I'm hoping that somebody who knows what they are doing went behind and finished it or made sure it was right. They put everything together so fast, and I know they have to meet a minimum standard, but if kids are going to be playing on these things "for decades" I'm hoping somebody went behind them and made it all right without the time pressure.
  23. I read this morning that CBS is going to air Yellowstone Season 1 this fall, presumably because they have nothing else to show. Can you imagine how much cleaning up that will take, to be suitable for network television?
  24. I assumed (hoped) all the apples they were slinging about were already "wastage" by the orchard. Because you know they weren't worth a crap by the time they got done with them. And Akeela can shut her mouth any time. To accuse others of not working hard enough and then tell them they are lying? I hoped she would punch out but when it came down to her and Cheryl (Cheryl (blank) Leitau!!) I knew where it was heading. I don't like about half of Savage Crew, so I hope Dirty Hands wins big.
  25. I agree that the Osmond reference has to do with age. I'm ever so slightly younger than the Osmond craze, but not as young as the youths of today. When I saw the first commercial, I said "that's an Osmond right there. I don't which one but an Osmond." They all had a strong resemblance when they were younger, you couldn't mistake they belonged together, so he could have belonged to any of them and looked the same.
