  1. I wondered the same thing. She seemed to present that she had a happy, shiny childhood but somehow I don't think so. I fell asleep during the show, never a good sign, and when I woke up a farmer appeared to be crying. But I didn't care enough to rewind and find out why, also not a good sign. All these guys seems perfectly happy to have a harem in their houses. Brooke sour-pussed her way right out. Otherwise, I don't think he would have bothered to send her home either. And again I say, none of these women should be this desperate for a relationship. They are all bright, lovely, articulate, accomplished women Other than wanting a media spotlight, none of them should be putting up with this nonsense.
  2. Perhaps I'm old. Perhaps grumpy. Perhaps I want some kids off my lawn. But I just don't care about any of these people. I don't care if they win, or lose, or die trying. I can't remember the last time I felt this level of disinterest in Survivor. I just...eh.
  3. Yes...the last thing we saw was Jacob being beached...and it stopped. Dadgumit.
  4. Okay, I must have missed something because when did Colton jump? Forwards or backwards? Also, I thought Kat talking to Thomas was a dream, like when Del talks to Colton. Because when Jacob beached up, Thomas was gone.
  5. Yeah, Casey Goodwin is a time traveler, right? Casey always shows up out of the blue at random times, like Alice. Casey always looks damp and maybe slightly moldy, just like Alice and Kat after they crawl out of the pond. Plus something about that necklace caught Alice's eye but I'm not sure what. It was a ring but I don't know whose. Is that proof though? Or is it Jacob moving back into his own timeline, just like Alice and Kat do every time they jump? Time has passed but it has also when they jump, so he's basically in his "correct" time. I just wonder why he jumped when he was so adamant about not doing that and leaving everything he knows and maybe can't go back. Also...who's gonna tell Dell?
  6. This show likes to brag about hoe many successful couples they've made over the years, but it had to have been done with: 1. Much better people. 2. Much less producer inference bullshit. And these idiots are "surprised" the women are upset? Makenzie I'm okay with; and so were those women it seems. The rest of them should have run for the hills. None of them are this hard up for a relationship. Media attention maybe, but not a relationship.
  7. When I saw the grainy boat footage, I definitely thought that was a woman. My first thought was Joy.
  8. I started watching this last night and finished with this episode. Amy is definitely manipulative and I don't think she is really as flaky as she is acting. it's just a good cover to avoid responsibility (circling back to manipulative).
  9. But weirdly there is an article in Parade describing the episode. It lists which lady each farmer to the farm and the reactions of the women already there. Unless it was published before Fox took down the episode for a special? I always have to watch behind so I don't know if it aired here or not. Don't click the link unless you want spoilers. https://parade.com/tv/farmer-wants-a-wife-season-2-episode-7-new-women-added
  10. Im beginning to understand why they weren't too worried about getting this season out late...
  11. I binge watched both seasons of the US show in a few days. I kind of looked at the UK version trailer and it looked like they had the exact same challenges the US show had. I thought there would be no point to watch the same challenges again, so I didn't watch. Are they the same challenges? Do I still need to watch with the few days I have left on my Peacock subscription?

    Fix The Show

In a world of 90 minute episodes, there's no reason to combine reward and immunity challenges, except for they don't want to bother with setting up both. But there is enough screen time for two challenges. A reward challenge boost by a down team could really change their focus and energies. It could make a difference.
  13. These may have been the only people who agreed to do it. I don't care for Amanda in the game but I found her episode interesting. I always wonder how these people can get away for months at a time to film these. Most of them don't have "real jobs" but Amanda does so I really wonder how she gets the time off. ETA: By which I mean, a clock-in, clock-out, show up every day to get paid kind of job.
  14. I wanted Kim gone but I wanted it to be by her own hand, not someone putting her out because that makes her the victim. I wanted her to put herself out for the entertainment value. But she's out so I guess it's all good. There are a couple people on those bleachers I'm not sure I've ever seen before. We need to spread out the camera time on some other people.
  15. I'm having trouble with the Lingermore party story. First of all, they are all 24-25. Monica said she was "24 and bored." At 24-25, they should have known better than to have a rager at someone else's property. It just doesn't make sense that they would be that immature. Plus, if Kat was 24-25 in 2007 she has to be pregnant at the party or in the next few days for this timeline to make sense. They had the Y2K party in high school, so it would make more sense if all this happened in 2002 or 3, but 2007 seems to be stretching it a bit. GASP: Unless she WAS pregnant at the party and lost Alice's big sister/brother and/or nearly lost Alice. Then maybe there are some apologies to be made, but still seems off. And running away to London for a "prestigious journalism" course or program or whatever is a little far-fetched too. Especially since she can barely run a small-town newspaper. Even if she had to hare off go get Jacob, whipping out that paper should have been a breeze for someone of her caliber, and then she could skip off to another century.
  16. I finally got to watch. I was in favor of Ty in the beginning but this kid thing has me kinda pissed. If you're serious about not having any more kids, you open with that. You don't dangle a "maybe" in front of women who you know want to have kids. If you're REALLY serious about it, you have a medical procedure done and end the speculation. I liked Joy, mostly because she made Reba pissy and that made me happy, but that was weird. She said she and her sister both lack empathy and emotions. Makes me wonder how traumatic her childhood was. She made it sound rosy but...she has no emotions. Maybe it wasn't rosy after all. It's not a good sign that I can't remember the other farmers names and the ladies. But the one guy was talking to a girl and she was saying how much she liked the outdoor life and fishing and whatever and he immediately said "I don't think this is the life for you." He didn't listen to her at all. So screw him, she needs someone better. Bringing more women into it this late is a crappy thing to do. I agree with the others that said they'd leave. None of them seem overly weird (Joy maybe) and so none of them should be that desperate to stick around for that nonsense. I think they are all in it for the exposure and not a lot else. IF they had these FANTASTIC women hanging around to give to the farmers, why weren't they in the original mix? This is some bull. I will give an okay to the one he chose for a date and then she had to leave. They let the girl come back last season after a family emergency, so I think that's fair. The rest is bull.
  17. There's a reason they call her "Trashelle." I'm cheap and waited for the whole season to finish before signing up for Peacock. Then I will watch all this in a few days and cancel again. But a CT/Phaedra show? I'd sign up on time and pay good money for that.
  18. I haven't watched last night's show yet. But I'm following along. But no, it's not ultra exciting.
  19. The more he talks, the stupider he sounds. ETA: I admit I didn't listen to the whole thing. But I bet every single person he mentioned and even throw in Jenna and the other girl who couldn't eat anything, would beat him one-on-one in an eating contest. He'd never win that contest one-on-one.
  20. Okay, this is on the way out edge, and I admit that. I do think she will be grateful to Isaiah for taking care of Jacob? But did Isaiah have any other sons? Because if not, if Jacob was the only one to carry on the Landry name, that means...Del was intimate with her own however-many-great grandson's. I don't think she would be okay with that. Things get a little weird at that point. On the other hand, if he is the only son and doesn't stay...that means there is no Landry heir for Del to marry and produce Jacob. It gets weird, y'all.
  21. They covered just about everybody, didn't they? Some of them had retired to the "kinder, gentler" all stars casts, so it seems odd they be back on the rougher show. Just glad stupid Jay Starrett wasn't on there. Edit to add: Another question: If this WERE a rivals season people have been talking about, who would pair with whom?
  22. One of my favorites in this vein is an episode where someone said (I don't remember exactly) something like "some wild things happening in the middle east" and then they ask Elliot where he'd been and with a murderous look he says "in the middle east." lol I liked knowing they were off doing their own things for their own reasons and then coming back together for the greater good.
  23. I'd watch that. Also, have no idols or advantages or non-advantages. Don't tell them that though. Let them keep looking and assuming someone else has it and watch the paranoia bloom.
  24. Turns out Jay is an even bigger ass than we imagined. Who could have thought that possible? No, I think Colleen just is that bitchy. She always looked smug and smirky in her talking heads. I think she is smug and smirky and thinks she's smarter than everyone in the room. I was reasonably proud of Evelyn when she stood up to the crew on The Island, but I will always remember her sulking when she didn't get her way on...Fresh Meat? The one in Canada. And then literally pitching a hissy fit when she lost the elimination because *she would not listen* to her partner and swore she'd never lose if she played alone. Even TJ called her a toddler. So I can't put her in the best of the best. And in the league of dish it out but can't take it, Michelle was happy enough when Berna's embarrassing moment was played (and everyone else's) but threatens to walk out when they say they are going to play her shit? No, that's not how that works, honey. You're Jay.
  25. If Bhanu screamed in my face in the middle of a challenge, we'd probably both be goners. I'd beat the shit out of him and he'd be med-evaced and I'd be ejected. That was some bullshit. You can't put someone in the middle that literally cannot reach to hold the pieces and then scream at her. He says he passionate, I say he's abusive. I'd also probably tell them I hoped they all died in a fire on the way out, after going to such elaborate means to vote me out, so that might be a personal problem on my part. She was much more gracious.
