  1. It's a dilemma... this episode actually kept me mildly entertained but by the end of it, I no longer cared about Ivy/Drizella. A morally gray character is fun to watch, straight up evil is just plain stupid - especially if it was caused by mommy issues. (Isn't that what every arch villain whines about - mommy or daddy didn't love me? Ugh.) Yeah, don't care. It's kind of a shame, because Regina and Drizella could have been fun to watch. I love a good master/apprentice relationship. It could have been entertaining to see Regina of all people try to keep someone from turning to the dark side.
  2. There's only so much hot mess viewers in general can take until they get distracted by other things. I already have too many shows to keep up with myself and my affection for this one is being worn thin. The biggest problem for me it that the only thing that really feels like OUAT anymore is the opening title sequence. Still, it could be salvageable. Ivy and the witch's scene was intriguing - keeping me interested enough to give it one more week (though it was a close call).
  3. Late to the episode, so I don't think there's anything left to say that hasn't been said but just wanted to chime in on how much fun this one was. And add my kudos to the casting folks - the kid who played young Ray was very good. (I usually hate kids on television, so that's high praise.) The scenes with Mick and both Ray/young Ray made me laugh. As annoying as Nate can be, I guess I've gotten used to him and he also made me laugh, so even that was fine. And I really like Zari. I have no clue who Mighty Isis is or how her story fits in but am looking forward to seeing how it works out.
  4. It's funny, I was watching back then and I don't remember the storyline at all, just the glorious conclusion. I zoned out with all the memory download/upload explanations to Anna but if indeed Drew was sent away from his family (even for his own safety), surely that would be a pretty traumatic memory, even for a young child and possibly not completely wiped out with the memory transfer. Could that be the thing that differentiates Drew from Jason?
  5. Sigh. I'm halfway through my recording of this episode and just had to take a break. Jacinda is the worst friend ever. If I didn't know about (and want to see) the final Ivy scene, I'd just stop here and not look back.
  6. Thanks! I thought Cassandra was giving off obsessed patient vibes when she was sitting with Dr. Michael Easton., not criminal mastermind but oh well... And sheesh, how could I forget Ellie's name?
  7. Okay, I saw a few minutes of Wednesday's episode in a coffee shop, so decided to watch Wed-Fri to see how they are handling the 2 Jasons. (So meta, having RoHo in the middle of it.) It's been years since I've watched GH for more than 10 minutes, so I have a couple of recent history questions. Who is Cassandra - should I care? Where are Laura and Kevin these days - I thought they were a couple? Wasn't Anna being held hostage somewhere at some point? Was Alex in that storyline? Is Georgie still in Portland with Spinelli and the redhead whose name I can't recall at the moment? Also, it was kind of nice to hear a mention of Susan from Scotty.
  8. I remember NP from General Hospital. The article says "He’s polished, but not stuffy or smarmy." Smarmy was his default on GH, so hopefully he's learned something since then.
  9. Ah, SORAS-ing can happen at any age, even in reverse. The most common situation I've seen has been the 7 - 10 year old who comes back from an out of town visit as an annoying teenager. I think we like Ivy because she has an easy chemistry with Henry. Their conversation was unforced and natural. And she doesn't like Jacinda, which gives us a lot in common with her. :-)
  10. I thought it was the sound of it breaking, when Alice threw it after it didn't work. I'd have to go back and rewatch but was sure there was something in Weaver's body language that the sound changed something. What I wasn't sure of the intent was Ghost Belle hovering. Did that mean he was at death's door or ?
  11. Even after sleeping on it, not sure how I felt about this one. Seeing Storybrooke in the opening was rubbing salt in the wound almost. As for the party, I imagine anyone coming is doing it for Belle, though I can see Emma encouraging Henry to have a relationship with his other little baby uncle. Rumpbelle's happy interlude was kind of weirdly long for this show but I've never seen Up, so it just seemed cloying. Is dead better than a sleeping curse or some of the other ways they've used to ignore Belle? At least Emilie got some screen time on her way out. (Maybe she'll show up on the Roswell reboot?) I like Ivy. Best line of the episode was her saying she'd rather eat carbs rather than do something with Lucy. I don't blame her. The second best was Weaver calling VB "dearie". And the sound of the teacup breaking waking Rumple was satisfying. At least, it felt a little like OUAT. So, in a way I wish this episode had been worse so I could delete the show from the dvr. There was just enough Once to keep me undecided. If they could fix the Henry/Jacinda/Lucy thing I'd probably be more optimistic but how do you do that when it's the cornerstone of the new show?
  12. They need to get rid of Tiana because every time she's on screen all I can think about is how depressing it is that she's not the main character. It's not even fun critiquing the rest of the show.
  13. Count me in for both shocked and pleased that Salvation gets a chance to redeem itself next summer. Hopefully they will see what worked and what didn't. And that JF won't be pregnant. (Not that I usually mind but I thought we deserved some really good Moscow flashbacks for putting up with the rest.)
  14. I watched this for the first time on Britbox this afternoon. It looked like everyone was having a great time. I may need to go back and watch the N series when I get time.
  15. Well, the SQ shippers are real but the rest is speculation, as far as I know. This episode could have just involved shooting schedules that didn't match up. If the actors didn't care for one another, I appreciate that it didn't affect the show like some others I've seen. (And by affect the show, I mean the performances we saw on-screen.)
  16. The writing, acting (except Colin), editing, and pacing of this show is awful but there were some bright spots. First, I only barely remember the Wish Realm, so I was okay with the Falstaff-ian Hook being transformed by real Hook's blood and the fairy godmother's wand and then latching on to Emma and TL. That made as much sense as anything else ever has in Once. CS is intact (poor JMo and that wig though!) and Regina not having anything in SB to go back to fits fine. And I caught how they made an effort to match up young and older Henry with the posture, hair, etc. - just the fact that they made the effort won them some points... still don't much care for adult Henry in flashback or HH. Jacinda was less frantic/abrasive and that helped, though still no chemistry. I am confused by what they've done to Robert Carlyle. If he doesn't want to play Rumple anymore, that's fine but between the weird accent and the hideous wardrobe (if you can call it that) I just don't want him on my screen. The spark with Hook/Gold from seasons past wasn't there either. And without the EQ, Roni is just a bartender and Henry's mom. So, 2 episodes down and 2 to go for me and then I'll decide. If we don't know anything else about the curse, then I'm probably out. No way am I going to sit through months of them not knowing who they are, with the story dribbling out in bits and pieces. ETA: I forgot to comment on the whole recital thing. I'm going with only Jacinda being charged $550 to keep her out and Victoria waiving the ticket price for everyone else. The thing is, I have seen real world custody situations where a mom in trouble has been pressured to give up her parental rights, with the resulting chaos when she gets her life together and wants her kid back. If that's where they're going they need to say so. The other, more fictional motive is that Lucy is the heir to something that Victoria wants, so she needs to be her guardian. Again, we need to know this. This weird, not knowing makes it too obvious that I don't care about these people or their backstory.
  17. Kim Matula used to get on my nerves because she basically was the show when I first started watching - who would have thought those would end up being the good old days? I'll probably come back to see what they're giving Ingo for a storyline - though I kind of wish he were playing a new character. Recasting Ridge didn't work out so well for them.
  18. "Cured" is up on Britbox, so it looks like less than a day behind airing on Dave? I haven't had a chance to watch it yet but looking forward to it. http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/news/2017/10/06/american-dwarf/
  19. The new series will be debuting this month on Britbox. I know the new episodes have started in the UK, so they should be landing soon, I hope. (They seem to be at least a week or so behind with Strictly Come Dancing.) Britbox has a one week free trial, so I imagine you could wait until the new series ends and just binge watch them.
  20. Not to defend Lucy saying that Henry's apartment was a dump but I was thinking that she was probably raised more or less in Victoria's home (or else why would VB want them back so desperately?) and compared to that, it likely is. I did like Lucy in some scenes but there's a really fine line between sassy/spunky and flat out obnoxious.
  21. Thinking about it, I really missed Emma (or an Emma substitute). This show needs a semi-normal, grounded character for contrast with the EF/SB/HH, magical fairy tale aspect. Without that, it feels so disjointed, with no center or heart. Maybe Hook will end up filling that spot because Henry, Cinderella and Lucy weren't doing it for me. I'll keep watching for a few more weeks to see how it goes.
  22. I loved her in Burn Notice but not so sure about this show...
  23. I accidentally caught about 10 minutes of this and spent most of it wondering what was going on with Gabrielle Anwar.
  24. Does CBS post new episodes at midnight Saturday or at prime time on Sundays?
