Count me in for Chelsea and Amanda. (I had to really think about who Amanda was, I missed 90% of her time on the show.) -
Getting to Genoa You All Over Again: Y&R Daily Chat

DID storylines... sigh. Eileen is doing a pretty good job with it but I still want it over, over, over. Unless there is a really hot psychiatrist waiting in the wings (and face it, they could staff a whole practice just for GC's first families) I don't see the point. There are dozens of ways they could write a Tucker/Ashley/Audra triangle without going to the DID well. I loved OLTL and Viki/Niki was an integral part of it almost from the beginning but it really is a problematic plot. Well, the president and the bridge disaster is interrupting the show and I'm almost grateful for the reprieve. (No offense to those affected, my heart goes out to them.) -

I don't like Michelle Stafford's acting but how humiliating is that - your character reduced to trying to listen thru doors while your nemesis and her creaky Lothario have some morning fun and then pulling the fire alarm? The whole episode was cringe. -
A comedic Zorro? Okay... Doesn't sound like the US will get it though.

Nina and Jill. -
The show was originally just a single thread. When we got the upgrade to full forum, I had plans to move comments into seasons but by then I had resigned as a mod. (In my case, it was mostly because of my husband's real life illness.) Seasons or per episode, either one works, depending on what y'all want to do.

I should clarify I enjoy fictional tasering, especially by Parker on the original Leverage. (Real life - totally different story.) -

I haven't been watching a lot thanks to real life stuff but I happened to catch the show live today and was surprisingly entertained. But then I always love a good tasering. -

Huh, I Never Knew That: True Facts That I Learned From Watching TV

A mile equals 5280 feet, a fact that has occasionally come in handy. 🙂 (It would have been a mile to Shaggy and Scooby's millionth hamburger, iirc.) The Scooby-Doo Show, Watt A Shocking Ghost -
Nora Roberts: From the MacGregors To The O'Dwyers And Everything In Between

I read this over the weekend. Loved Abigail as a character. She reminded me a bit of Sarah Connor for some reason. Maybe it was the mental image of a woman standing with a gun and a dog? -
It's a different vibe. The pace is definitely slower. The writing is probably better but the acting ranges from very good to hurts to watch. (Especially the young actors but then soaps always were a training ground.) I'm not sure where they're at right now, it's been awhile since I checked the channel out.

I knew he had a lot of health issues in recent years but this still hurts. The Liaden universe is one of my favorites. I've never understood why Hollywood didn't bring some of them to the screen. Val Con and Miri's adventures are perfect for Netflix or HBO. They are fully diverse, with action, Regency-tinged customs, giant Turtle aliens, a Klingon-ish warrior race, government conspiracies, mafia, and space ships. 🙂 The world building of Killjoys always felt a bit Liaden to me. -

Sadder still, Y&R looks way better than the other soaps. -
Nora Roberts: From the MacGregors To The O'Dwyers And Everything In Between

It was! It flowed into Suzanna perfectly. Supper was late and it was almost dawn when I finished - the mark of a really good read. I still think they could have completely dropped Amanda and Sloan, so I haven't started the last (Megan) book yet. I have to catch up on some things that were neglected the last few days. It occurred to me while reading that those books have turned into historical novels. No cell phones, no Google, stacks of paper to sort through, about the only tech I caught was the copy machine from the library. -

I enjoyed Courting Catherine but a third-ish into A Man For Amanda and... well, it's boring. Please tell me it gets better. Eta: It's mostly Sloan. I just don't like him. Eta: Now this is much more promising. Lilah and more with the jewel thief. 👍 -

Last night I decided to browse the titles you listed above and was instantly immersed in the split time frame of Courting Catherine. So far, so good. Eta: it can take me forever to read sometimes - I'm continually interrupted. Sigh. It's why I listen to more podcasts than anything else. Maybe I should try the library for audiobook versions. -

I think my daughter could challenge you for the title of NR's #1 fan, @GHScorpiosRule 🙂 I'm fairly sure she owns every book the woman ever wrote. Personally I bounce between sci-fi/space opera and golden age mysteries (and no, not a fan of JDR) but did love early Nora Robert's genre novels before she hit the mainstream. They were the perfect length for polishing off while my kids napped. -
For those that just want MSNBC and/or CNN, the cheapest service is probably SLING Blue at $40/mo. TCM is available for an extra $6/mo. Eta: Sling only has local channels in a few places, which is probably why they are cheaper than the others. But if you have an antenna it shouldn't matter. I have YTTV, thanks to being part of my daughter's family group. I only use it for HGTV and MSNBC though, so if I were footing the bill I'd do Sling. I also have a Tablo with decent local reception so it would be fine.

Season 1 has some classic bits. The sarcastic toaster. Rimmer panicking when he realizes Lister is serious about becoming an officer. And my daughters and I still crack up when Cat hits the food machines for fish. "Fish!" But yeah, you don't watch RD for the calibre of the acting. 🙂 The commercials on Tubi arent too bad. I hope the boys (and Kochanski) make a new generation laugh.

I'm assuming because of Spencer. They grew up as cousins. -
I took the last couple of months off my most recent rewatch and am early in S4 now. I missed it.

I had the same thought but went ahead and it's been fine. There wasn't much nuance to John's journey anyway. It's Harold and the Machine that I primarily cared about.
