  1. I haven't seen it on video but looking at the screen grab, I like it straighter. It seems more natural, less prissy anyway. Dear CBS lurkers, when the only reason I'm considering watching this episode is to check out Hope's hair your writers are doing something wrong.
  2. I think $Bill (and Still) could recover and be an interesting force to reckon with but it would need some time and consistent writing. And courage. Which I'm sure looks less appealing right now than the easier ToD nonsense.
  3. I didn't realize that the rumor wasn't soap specific. Sigh... that means we're more likely to get the Bridge trouble via their daughters. I wanted so much more for a recast Hope than that. No thanks to another iteration of the ToD.
  4. There's no doubt that without KKL/TK's salaries, it could open up the canvas a lot. Though honestly, I'd rather they shipped them off to Paris/Milan/Fargo than kill them off. No matter who it is, I'm always impressed by how good B&B is at keeping big plot twists under wraps.
  5. The Forrester jet crashes with Ridge and Brooke presumed lost? With one or both resurfacing during some future sweeps?
  6. Only one more Bridge-heavy day then? I can live with that. Though not looking forward to Wyatt getting his heart stomped on quite so soon.
  7. I skipped this week except for the non-wedding (and the final) scenes yesterday. Liked the Liam and Wyatt scene so much and am glad that Wyatt has finally gotten a clue. Though would the writers actually give Wyatt the win in this triangle? Most of the women looked great. I loved the color (but not the construction) of Quinn's dress. Maya looked positively regal. But AB's dress certainly didn't do her any favors and Katie's sparkle helped make it easier to ignore hers. As for the men, well... I don't usually comment on personal things like weight but in a couple of places it was distracting. There are several guys who could use a little gym time. And the final scene? If I were Brooke I'd torch that thing. SF the actress I like, SF the character kept me from watching this show and even from clips I find it hard to buy their supposed bond. But I can see how other viewers might like it. I'll even admit that hearing her voice made me a little nostalgic, not for Stephanie herself but for an era where soaps were still popular and not on the endangered species list.
  8. What is it about this show, where it is really good for a month, six weeks maybe and then it just nosedives into total crap until whatever storyline is over and they start the cycle over again? More importantly, what is it about me that I keep falling for it?
  9. Nope, not a bit. I have one of my own - and I'm probably a bigger geek than he is.
  10. This episode was filmed in my city and the husband actually works close to me. (Thousands of employees in this location, so I've never actually seen him IRL.) You have to remember he's an engineer. They can be kind of nerdy. What's really weird is I have no idea where half the locations they used in filming are in Cedar Rapids. (The out and about ones, not the houses.) I need to get out more.
  11. Nothing about this sounds interesting. (And is Stephanie the familiar face?) It figures that I finally start liking Watie just as they are going to end. Not that Thorne isn't a better catch but I hate that Wyatt loses again.
  12. The premise of the first season was silly but I enjoyed it. Most of my enjoyment was from the Darius/Grace team up though. This thing with Claire's brother sounds truly awful. (Mainly because Claire was awful. I have liked the actress in other roles but by the end, I wanted her gone in the worst way.)
  13. I thought Hope and Wyatt had a nice scene and maybe a smidgen of chemistry - unlike the ones with Liam, where I didn't see any. I still wish Hope had come back with an Italian count or race car driver in tow. The men on this show are all pretty boring at the moment. Except Liam and I'm tired of everyone bullying him about Steffy.
  14. In all likelihood it was probably going to end with Season 8 anyway (I think most people were shocked it got a Season 7), so I'm okay with KH pounding a few nails in. She can be watchable and I'm really tired of Donna at this point.
  15. Casting info: http://deadline.com/2017/10/warrior-cinemax-cast-director-bruce-lee-inspired-martial-arts-series-1202185298/
  16. The only thing interesting about a BD spoiler is speculating on how they'll write him into a story that doesn't need him.
  17. Jennifer Finnigan hasn't done too badly. I'm certainly looking forward to S2 of Salvation. :-) It was dumb but as long as Santiago Cabrera is on my screen, I won't complain too much.
  18. ^^^ Yes, to all of this. Well, except for nuHope. It's early days yet and it can take the young ones a little time to find their footing. I'm willing to give her some before writing her off.
  19. Ah, so many good comments and likes that I can't give... I'm not a fan of change (I still have more than one Win7 computer and an old Thinkpad with WinXP that I can't bear to part with) but some upgrades are a necessary evil. Give the board update a little time to settle in and the admins time to swat all the bugs and things should be back to normal in a few days.
  20. John Dixon? Agreed - a real friend of Liam's would be welcome. While I've thought for quite a while that Hope needed to be recast and back in LA it was mainly for Brooke - not for a new ToD. It would be a shame to go from the Emmy reel scenes to a retread of any Liam triangle. (Substituting Sally for Steffy might be an upgrade but won't be anything I want to revisit.)
  21. Today's episode was tedious - not a fan of watching Liam being harangued about forgiving Steffy. But I'd give yesterday's episode a solid B. Not a lot happened, besides Bill and Ridge facing off but it did highlight some of what I'm liking about the show lately. A Katie who laughs is high up on the list. And I'm fine with Watie discussing the scandal of the day, especially since it affects both of their families. The NuHope actress is okay so far. Sally is back. I'm even liking JMW more (disliking her less?), not only is she (mostly) showing up, she isn't afraid to show Steffy wallowing in her misery, red nose, pasty complexion and ratty hair. (Though now that Hope's back she better start brushing her hair, at least.) Which kind of leads to the main thing I like about the fallout of the Still ONS - they messed up royally but it didn't come out of nowhere, it wasn't really OOC (except for the lightning fast Brill implosion), it's affecting a lot of other characters and there haven't been any gross consent issues. (Other than the ones characters are positing to excuse Steffy, which she flatly shoots down.) Hopefully the outrage over Misunderstanding Night had some impact at CBS. There is clearly enough drama without that crap. I'm also hoping the baby is outed as Bill's sooner rather than later. Except I don't want anyone we know to have messed with the tests. I vote for someone seeing on the news that a local lab has been shut down due to sloppy lab procedures, which leads to a week or two of angst and a 2nd test.
  22. Ridge is an idiot. I have mixed feelings about Bill playing the "L" card. It's too soon, for Steffy and for the audience. Swill deserves all the shame and scorn that can be heaped upon them, and while I will grudgingly give Bill some credit for trying to protect Steffy from her well earned portion, they need to pay some more before they bond and become the villainous super couple we know they can be.
  23. Aww... now I"m missing Craig again (fiercely). Absolutely. 2 of the best things I've ever seen on tv.
  24. Were Liam and Hope legally married before? I thought they'd never actually made it? Or at least that's what I remember hearing when I first started watching, when Hope married Wyatt after Liam was delayed by fishing Ivy out of the Seine.
