  1. It's weird, I loved the first season of Dark Matter and was so-so on Killjoys. Second season, I was firmly on the Killjoys side and if I had to choose, it would always be Killjoys now. But I feel for those who preferred Dark Matter. (I think Dark Matter lost me with the dribbling out of memories and the constantly changing pre-memory wipe personalities, I got to the point where I didn't care anymore.)

  3. I think D'avin is self-aware enough to know he's on the list of wrong guys. But if all she wanted out of those guys was a bit of fun, that doesn't necessarily make them wrong (even if they weren't good guys). D'av can be judgmental and while he cares about her, it's one reason I couldn't ever see them together long term. Yes, he gets her in ways John doesn't but I can see the boy scout/military good guy aspect of his character getting on her nerves eventually.
  4. They do seem to be assuming that just because Aneela used the power of the green goo to bring her into reality that means Aneela's green is Dutch's true source - so she dies if Aneela does. But Dutch has no trace of Hullen in her DNA, so IMO that's only one possible scenario. True, it's the worst case scenario and one they should be prepared for but I'm not buying the certain death thing either.
  5. Sometimes when a show is on the bubble, I don't watch the finale until I know if it's going to be a series or season finale. I'll be watching next week though, no matter what. 3 seasons is just not enough. That said, the ratings do seem to be all over the place. They haven't updated it for last night. http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/killjoys-season-three-ratings/
  6. Even knowing that Alvis was going to die, the ending took me by surprise. I probably need to get a table for one here but I kind of loved both DSK being her twisty self (2nd best pregnant diva performance of the year) and the fact that the show produced a D'av/mirror Dutch baby. It's all kinds of wrong but this show out fanfics the fanfic writers on a weekly basis. By the end of the episode, I was also thinking that I wouldn't object to a D/D ship again. D'avin gets her in a way that Johnny doesn't. But I wouldn't put it past the show to have Dutch ending up alone, or maybe with baby Jaqobis if it doesn't die.
  7. Until DSK I just wanted Aneela to be gone, by any means possible. Now... I don't exactly ship them either but agree they are kind of adorable in a weird, psychotic way. If Dutch wanted both Johnny and D'avin, evidently that's no problem in the Killjoys 'verse. Neither one seems exactly right to me, though if I had to choose a ship, it would probably be D/J.
  8. Such a funny/bizarre/angsty episode and the finale is coming too darn fast... or maybe not fast enough, depending on how things go next week. I don't have time to go back and rewatch right now but did I hear correctly that the "Lady" is somehow trapped in the green and looking for a way out/way to pass into this universe? Because all I could think of is the way they looked at DSK's very pregnant belly when they said that.
  9. Ah, I remember now. Thanks. So much going on I completely forgot. I think I need a flow chart to keep all the pieces of the plot straight.
  10. Does anyone outside Aneela's ship know that DSK is alive (and Hullen)?
  11. I liked this more than I expected to from initial comments after the episode. 2 thumbs up for Dutch/John meeting, Dutch/Zeph friendship and most especially D'av stepping up to lead the cause. I have no problem with him being the general, leading the troops. Dutch seems more like the type to lead a rag-tag group of guerrilla fighters than an organized military. I've never been more pro-D'avin than when he was sticking up for the Cleansed/Fancy. I had more problems wrapping my head around Aneela using the goo to make the memory of her younger pre-Hullen self corporeal. I kind of would have preferred her plucking her younger self from the timeline/AU style with all the necessary scifi technobabble but by the end of the episode, I just decided to roll with it. I'm easy like that with this show. (Any other and I would have been merciless. I know, I know... hypocrisy is alive and well in my corner of the world.) About the worst thing I can imagine now is the show not getting renewed.
  12. I may have imagined Louella palming hers. Didn't she have to activate the bug by twisting a bead or something? I'm assuming if they weren't activated, the seeds/bugs would eventually pass through the person's system.
  13. There were things** I didn't care for but I really did appreciate the world building aspect of the funeral rites which then tied into the horrifically creepy revenge on the part of the new Seyah Simms. ** Dutch coming on to D'avin and then the awkwardness afterwards... at least it showed some character growth on D'avin's part for him to pull away. ** Who would have thought DSK could almost bring layers to the tiresome crazy that is Aneela? And that it would end up being one of the most interesting incorporations of a pregnant actress that I've seen on tv?
  14. So, I watched a bit this week. And because I'm obviously a glutton for punishment, I stuck around for them to put a stake in Queric. In a normal soap, I'd assume that there's a health crisis for Eric looming just after Quinn and Ridge share a couple of bottles of tequila but I hope not, because I'm over guilty Quinn begging and pleading for anything. And Sheila and Charlie need to DIAF, the sooner the better. When I started watching, Brooke was in an embarrassing middle-aged sex kitten phase. Thankfully they cut out that finger snapping nonsense. It was painful. She could really use a rival who wasn't her sister but she doesn't have that kind of chemistry with anyone who's onscreen right now. Her scenes with Quinn always felt flat to me. Maybe it's time to bring back Hope or Bridget?
  15. There were some good lines but Mike just can't help himself, can he? He's the one who needs a therapist. We all know this isn't going to end well but it wouldn't be Suits without Mike in serious jeopardy, would it? Hah. I was surprised that the Jessica/Harvey scenes are only annoying me at this point, reminding me of what we don't have.
  16. It's sad when this brief discussion is more interesting than the actual show. And about Dulé - I loved him on Psych, so I was prepared to enjoy his stint but not all that impressed yet. This thing with him (inadvertently) stealing Harvey from Louis is so tediously junior high.
  17. I have a close friend who trained as a paralegal but is a legal secretary now because the firms she's worked for only used them for research. (I think she had visions of being Erin Brockovich, not tied to cubicle/computer 60 hours a week.) So with all the stuff Suits gets wrong, that didn't really jump out at me. ETA: half of what Rachel says goes in one ear and out the other for me so that could be part of it too. But yeah, the personnel stuff is badly done. Actually, none of the stories are doing anything for me. Remind me again why they renewed this show? This is purely speculation but Louis's dependence on his therapist makes me think we're headed for a death and a major meltdown. Hopefully I'm wrong.
  18. Just an FYI that anyone can create an episode topic if a mod hasn't been around to do it. (I'm not the mod for Suits, just a viewer.) Of course, it might also mean that the episode was so bad that no one wanted to? I haven't had a chance to watch anything this week yet personally.
  19. Harvey, Louis and Donna must get on the same page – and fast – when Bratton Gould comes after PSL for poaching an attorney. Mike and Rachel struggle to make time for their wedding plans.
  20. Louis and Harvey wrangle with new firm dynamics. Mike's latest success brings him unexpected new business. And Rachel's leadership is challenged by an insubordinate associate.
  21. Discuss the cancellation of Roseanne here. As usual, no politics and no incivility. Report offenders, do not engage.
  22. I've been busy the last few weeks so it's nice that TPTB have made it easy to just not worry about catching up. I may tune back in for MC and then I'm back out until Sheila is gone. As others have posted already, I was invested in Queric (and Quidge to a lesser degree) but thanks to Sheila, not so much anymore. And the less said about Caroline, the better. Though this show occasionally surprises and outs secrets quickly, so who knows...
