  1. Yes! To everything you said! I have a feeling Mary Jo and Jessie were hoping to get a reality show out of this. The daughter is definitely a fame whore like her dad. Besides what has already been mentioned, I thought it was odd that Mary Jo and her daughter kept trying to paint this picture perfect life before Amy Fisher. Considering Mary Jo mentioned a few times about Joey's drug/alcohol abuse and how he needed to choose between his family or partying, and how they would constantly say "what did Joey do NOW?", tells me the Buttafuoco family wasn't as ideal as they were trying to portray it. Mary Jo is a complete doormat and an idiot. I'm sure Joey was cheating on her long before Amy and I'm sure many times after. Mary Jo mentioned that after he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute, that was it and they were getting a divorce. He was arrested for soliciting in 1995 and they didn't divorce until 2003! Also, she mentioned she only agreed to appear on the talk shows because they were broke because Joey lost $3 million dollars in bad investments. I guess "bad investments" is code for hookers, blow and spending lavishly while being a complete douche! Not that I feel sorry for Amy, but the short clip they showed of her being a web cam girl, was sad. You could definitely see the emptiness in her eyes. Kudos to the Buttafuoco son for changing his name and never wanting a part of this sideshow!
  2. I didn't notice any random customer cutaway scenes this week. I totally laughed when Dina asked Mateo if he just finished doing a magic trick when she asked if he was busy.
  3. I agree. I think they should do another season of this show or something similar. However, I would like to see designers that aren't "famous" yet - something similar to Design Star, but with tract homes. I would love to see Eric & Lindsey from Desert Flippers, Ken & Anita from Flip or Flop Atlanta or Ben & Erin from Home Town evaluate their work instead of Tarek, etc. Agree. When I lived in LV, there were a few times I covered it in the summer and it got way too hot! Now that I live in the Midwest, I have to cover it every day otherwise, it's freezing!! I think Jasmine's pool would be considered a "splash pool." It's smaller and shallower. Michael Phelps isn't going to train in it, but it's ideal for people who just want to cool off or have a small backyard or don't want to deal with the cost and upkeep of a larger pool.
  4. Not to sound petty, but after looking at pics of the model home, I'm really not impressed with the designers. With the exception of Leanne, most of their "custom, original" ideas can be purchased as an upgrade from the builder and probably cost less than $175K. Additional kitchen cabinets that go to the ceiling - check. Wine/coffee bar - check. Decorative ceiling beams - check. Door in master closet that goes to the laundry room - check. Sliding glass doors to the backyard - check. Great room fireplace and outdoor fireplace - check, check. Even though Leanne's style is not for everyone (me included), at least the inside of her tract house can be described as "custom designed."
  5. OMG, Alison is such a b!tch! The look on her face when her room wasn't one of the top two contenders...priceless!! Mina's room: I agree about not having a huge hanging light fixture because it would block the view to the back. Her backyard was definitely the most family friendly and I noticed she was the only one that installed a ceiling fan. However, the great room and outside space seemed kind of meh. Her room looked like something a "wanna be" designer would put together. Leanne's room: The beams were nice and I love Leanne's carefree attitude when it comes to criticism. That horrid light fixture!! It was way too low and it definitely was the focal point in the room...and not in a good way. Luckily, it can be replaced easily. I didn't see the point of removing the baseboards; they made the room look unfinished. Her area rugs always look like blankets that someone has tripped over more than once. On the plus side, seeing the great room finished makes her kitchen not look so bad since it's all tied together now. I loved the stenciled the patio, but the rest of the backyard was just awful! I understand wanting a low maintenance backyard, but having the entire yard with nothing but pea gravel was a bad decision. She could have a made inexpensive planters or did some defined areas with furniture, edging and landscape, etc. As it is, the backyard looks like it's in the beginning stages of construction. Also, I didn't like the fireplace centered in the middle of the patio - I think Mina was the only one who put it off to the side. I'm curious if the HOA is going to allow the vent cap to be so tall. Alison's room: Let me begin by saying stfu Alison! No one in So Cal wants a "Chicago city vibe" look in their house! The beams didn't go with the rest of her "Chicago look". The outdoor fireplace would have looked so much if it was double sided and maybe stacked stone. It looked cheap and the other side looked stupid. The pier mirror fountain would have looked way better without it being covered with foliage. The rope lights were ugly, but can be replaced. I guess Alison didn't care about the sides of the yard since the planters abruptly stopped and it looked like a bunch of mulch was thrown down and forgotten. Jasmine's room: She deserved to win. Hers definitely is the one that will appeal to most buyers. Comfortable and family friendly inside and out and any negatives can easily be changed. The horrid lockers can be removed and taken to the curb; a nice custom bookshelf would look lovely in it's place. She should have installed the shelves like she mentioned instead of the stacked wood because there was no point to having all that wood with an electric fireplace. Unlike Alison, Jasmine knows the California market. Pool, outdoor kitchen, different seating areas, no outdoor fireplace, etc. I'm surprised she didn't go with artificial turf since she just needed a small area to be covered. The real grass looks like it's already dying. From looking at the yards, all of them sloped on one side. I'm really surprised no one built a retaining wall. All that mulch, pea gravel or dirt is going to be a big mess the next time there is a heavy rain.
  6. Could Laurel be the informant and in protective custody? Nate, Gabriel, Solomon and Asher's sister can all leave now. I loved Michaela's black dress!
  7. Question: was Wentworth Miller's character supposed to be the same one he played on SVU 10 years ago? Except now he's a DA instead of a detective? I also thought Noah was going to be gone when Olivia turned her back.
  8. Leanne's house that she purchased last year is for sale. White and minimal are definitely her style: https://www.thepreferredrealty.com/real-estate/1422668/227-merriman-road-sewickley-heights-pa-15143/ For reference, this is what it looked like BEFORE she renovated it: https://www.estately.com/listings/info/227-merriman-rd
  9. Halloween ep was lame, even as a true story. The best part of the ep were Adam's Beetlejuice and Weird Al costumes!
  10. I didn't really care for any of the kitchens. As much as I hate to admit it, I would probably pick Alison's though because it was nice and practical and the gold hood and hardware will be easy for the buyer to replace. However, it looked like every other kitchen she has done on WCR. Jasmine's kitchen was way too busy - she just had too much going on. Just like her bathroom, there were too many different materials. I hate open shelving and the glass cabinetry was a good idea, but the outcome was too cluttered and clunky. On the other end of the spectrum, Leanne's was just awful! I understand that she's a "minimalist" designer, but come on! The stone wall was horrid! She should have left the walls alone and at least installed open shelving in place of the uppers. As much as I hate open shelving, I would rather have it than no storage at all. The only positive about her design was installing the hallway to the dining room. Mina's kitchen looked like a tract home kitchen that an average buyer had already "put their stamp on." I'm really surprised no one did anything worthwhile in the eating area. They could have extended the cabinets, installed a banquette or a work station or did something different with those small windows. If anyone is interested, here is the link for the pics to the actual model home: https://www.pardeehomes.com/los-angeles/arista/plan-1-19668/#
  11. I like the idea of this show and using a block of tract housing to show different designs with the same floorplan. However, I'm only familiar with Alison and Leann. Alison did not disappoint when it came to her egomania and bitchiness! $7000 for a toilet?! Wasted money and I'm glad Tarek pointed that out. The headboard wall was ugly and the rest of it looked like every master bath she has done on Windy City Rehab. The only thing I liked about her design was the closet/shoe rack and that's only because it was all Ari. That man can do no wrong when it comes to woodworking! Mina's bedroom was nice, but I didn't care for the wallpaper or mirrors in the bathroom. But those are cosmetic and are so easy and inexpensive to replace. With the exception of the herringbone floors, her bathroom reminded me of a higher end tract home bathroom. Beautiful, but basic. I didn't like the cabinets in the closet, but I did like the door to the laundry room. Jasmine's was the one I liked the least. As Tarek said, there was just too many textures/materials. I did like her closet and the secret door. I'm in the minority here, but I LOVED Leanne's bathroom!! The bedroom was AWFUL, but the bathroom was fantastic! I'm a sucker for a wet room bathroom and liked that she totally went outside the box. I agree there was a lot of wasted space and she probably didn't have to steal extra sq footage from garage to make it work, but it was definitely custom, modern, and gorgeous. Luckily for a buyer, the bedroom is basically a blank slate so any changes will be super easy. I like that she admitted that it didn't have mass appeal, but as long the one person buying it loves it, that's all she cares about.
  12. My son was born with heart issues including his valves. He has had echocardiograms since he was a toddler every six months to monitor his condition and will continue to do so for the rest of his life. If there is a valve problem, he will have it replaced. I find it completely unbelievable that the daughter has a diagnosed valve issue and the doctor basically said "nothing can be done. She has a 50% chance of dropping dead while reading a book." I'm assuming the daughter's cardiologist and the ME went to the same medical "school".
  13. Will someone refresh my memory of why the others were chosen? I only remember Wes and obviously Michaela. I don't remember why Laurel and Asher were picked.
  14. Lansing NY: I guess I'm in the minority here, but I thought the husband seemed like a complete jerk. I got a really bad vibe off of him when they were in the car and he was irritated because her parents saw the house first. He didn't seem any better throughout the rest of the episode either. I wasn't a fan of any of the homes and I have a feeling the house they chose is going to be a money pit. McKinney: I can't believe the wife wouldn't let the husband have a theater room because she wanted a playroom for the grandchildren who weren't even conceived yet! And she totally shut him down when he suggested the room can be changed in the future. She was very selfish, IMO. Murrieta: The wife was something else. EVERYTHING was about HER and what SHE (and her mother) wanted. The apple does not fall far from the tree. When the mother said should couldn't live without a walk in closet, I rolled my eyes so hard! I can't take these people who can't survive with normal everyday things. Like the McKinney wife who couldn't cook in the kitchen without an island! Really?! My food tastes exactly the same if I prepare it on an island or on the regular counter. I see no difference in my clothes when they are hung in a walk in closet or a standard closet. Sad to hear about Suzanne Whang's passing. She was so young 😞
  15. Valley Village: The kitchen backsplash was AWFUL! It ruined the entire look! The small bathroom had too many different patterns going on. The pentagon shaped tile was lovely but it should have been limited to shower. I'm glad the SIL had some common sense and pointed out the costs and level of difficulty were going to be much higher than the homeowner thought. The SIL's kitchen was super nice! I would have loved to see the rest of her house!
  16. Tori's duster isn't listed, but Jennie's sweater is: https://wornontv.net/150282/
  17. This ep was pretty meh, IMO. I did like when they were all rattling off their enemies. And when Jennie sarcastically asks Tori what's wrong with her because she didn't want to use the stairs and Tori replies "Everything!" That was funny too! I'm disappointed how they used Jamie Walters though. Him singing in the empty bar and the cast accusing him of a crime was a total slap in the face. Considering the show and his fans ruined his career because they couldn't separate reality from fiction, it would have been nice to see Jamie portrayed as the hero he is in real life. I wish he would have shown up to fight the fire and after it was put out, he starting singing "How Do You Talk To An Angel" as he's walking away and getting back on the truck.
  18. Fayetteville, GA: I had to fast forward through a lot of this episode because of the wife! She rolled her eyes and complained that her husband was concerned about the roof, HVAC and wood in the house. According to her, that stuff wasn't important. What was important (in her opinion) was the bling and how the house was going to impress other people. I thought the husband did a great job. I know they only had $45k for reno, but I was hoping for new floors in the LR and a better looking fireplace. I'm glad to see the trees were still standing in the backyard. I guess she got used to all the imaginary bugs she was shooing away.
  19. I never liked the Brenda character in the original and I'm really not liking Shannon in this. She's written so OTTP that it's comical...and not in a good way. I don't like Christine. I HATE Shay. There's zero chemistry between her and BAG and her character is beyond annoying. I love Jennie's clothes! I thought the stalker could be Kellie's daughter or Tori's husband. Whatever happened to Donna's hot boyfriend from the later seasons? I think he lived on a boat. Maybe he's the stalker. I doubt it's Ray Pruitt since being an abuser on TV ruined his career in entertainment. But maybe he'll come and put the fire out since he's a FF in real life.
  20. Austin: The kitchen and bath at the end were so ugly! Almost as ugly as his mustache! Thinking of his mustache, no one will ever be kissing him on the cheek - they might lose as eye! Even going in for a hug could be risky! Nashville: The wife was a complete b!tch. Definitely putting her in my top 10 of horrible buyers. I wanted to push her off the balcony. The husband seemed okay. I don't see their marriage lasting very long. I agree with everyone else about the Santa Clarita condo. I hate when no backyards are justified with "there's a park down the street." It's not the same. At all. It's a lot easier to open the backyard to let the children and pets play outside all day in a fenced yard vs going to a park for a little while. I can guarantee that lazy, selfish, coffee roasting douche of a dad is never going to take his son to the park.
  21. Joan's blonde hair looks worse and worse with each episode! I didn't want Morland to die and I'm afraid he is. The last conversation he had with Sherlock about always showing up when Sherlock calls seemed to be Morland's way of saying I love you. Even though they weren't a typical family or a close one, it's sad that Sherlock is the only one left. I can't believe there are only 2 episodes left. I'm going to miss JLM on my screen every week. He is such a brilliant actor and so underrated.
  22. Mason: From listening to the selfish wife's comments , the husband should probably just get his own place. I'm sure he will soon enough because I can't see them being married for very long. But just when I think she was awful, Phoenix wife shows up in the next episode. UGH!! She had to be one of the worst people ever. The constant side eyeing and snide comments to and about her husband, the insistence on a single story home because their FOUR (!!) year old could fall down the stairs, the carpet, the laundry room, etc. She looked pissed every time they were in the car; actually she looked pissed all.the.time! And him with his stupid sports room and hot dog machine! He needs an entire room for himself to accommodate a small kitchen appliance? What a complete douche! However, I don't understand why one of the extra bedrooms couldn't be used as a playroom (or his stupid sports room). I felt sorry for the realtor - she seemed more like a marriage counselor when she was talking to them. I'd be curious to know how many people work at a hospital and have "seen things", yet are still capable of owning a 2 story house.
  23. Las Vegas: She was awful! Besides being totally selfish, she was beyond annoying. I don't know how long they've been married, but I can't see it lasting much longer. I doubt he'll want to spend his retirement listing to her "cha-chinging" everyday. I had to laugh that she insisted on such a big house for entertaining, and their huge (sarcasm) party of 5 people had to sit on the pool ledge because there was no furniture - inside or outside. I think the husband is going to be thankful for having a pool. I can't imagine living in Vegas without one. I lived in LV for over 25 years and IMO, they probably will never have an episode showing the older parts because 1. Everyone wants brand new! These buyers that think a 10 year old house is "dated" are certainly not going to look at areas that were built in the 60's, 70's or 80's. 2. Sadly, the older homes are not in desirable neighborhoods anymore. In their heyday, they were nice, but nowadays if you go a few blocks in any direction, it's very questionable. I did a major eye roll at the realtor counting the courtyard as a living space. People like their privacy, especially in LV so people entertain in their backyards. I can't see them (or anyone else) using the courtyard on a regular basis. Plus, it's like a thousand degrees outside for half the year. I doubt anyone would enjoy sitting out in front with no shade when it's 110.
  24. I don't know what the Palm Springs drag queen was trying be, but he came across as a complete douche! Listening to all their future plans at the end, made me feel very sorry for their neighbors. I love MCM, so I hope to see a WATN epsiode with this house but with only the roommate/work partner present.
