  1. He's the worst! I would have preferred him blowing up instead of Cricket! Maybe it's because her voice is deep and breathy, yet soft. When she gets riled up though, I think she speaks faster. I could understand how it could be difficult to hear her sometimes when all four all going at the same time. On a vain note, she and Faith always dress so stylish! They need to give Angie some wardrobe pointers and also tell her shave her arm pits...or at least trim them up!!! Even though I thought Will held the baby a bit too long while the mother was still conscious, it was a very sweet scene watching him be so emotional.
  2. I doubt Johnny Galecki would ever come back. He doesn’t need the work (unlike everyone else). Unfortunately, the show made him out to be very unlikeable when he returned previously. He’s definitely above what this show has become.
  3. I'm out! I can't even hate watch this show anymore! I was really hoping something was going to happen to Bailey in the previous episode so she would never been seen or heard from again. The entire honeymoon plot was beyond stupid and ridiculous! Nolan and Bailey can't leave the island for days, but Harper and Lopez had no problem landing right in the middle of the beach? Baily is an EMT? I thought she was a firefighter? I'm so over Chen and her detective's exam. She and Bradford have absolutely ZERO chemistry! I hate them as a couple! I'm glad Aaron and Celina aren't going to be a thing...I like them as friends.
  4. This ep was totally meh! Jackson was so deep in this cult, but Colter shows him a photo of a former dead member and Jackson instantly comes to his senses?! Colter next stop needs to be the Church of $cientology! I liked the first episode so I hope future eps are more like that but without the one night stand lawyer. I agree with some of the other comments about the brother taking the rap for the mom killing the dad. I'm sure the brother wants to tell Colter the truth and that's why the mom told him to block his calls/ignore him.
  5. Thank you for these questions and answers. This season was a total letdown! It didn't seem at all like a TD series. I did like the strong female leads and that's the only positive I can say about it. The biggest negatives (besides being constantly confused right from the beginning) were there were too many plot holes, the dark scenery, a million different plotlines and lastly, flashbacks that seemed like they were added to this final episode at the last minute to tie up a poorly and lazy written story.
  6. This show is still a hate watch for me! I don't ever remember seeing Hobbs previously, and he acted like this was his first day on the job without any training. I'm not into the whole season being about the pursuit of one the bad guy who got away...especially because he got away multiple times due to the agents being idiots. I really wish the show would come up with other plotlines besides bombs. Almost every single episode is a bomb threat.
  7. Thank you Violet and Green and everyone else for trying to explain what is going on. One of my issues with this season is there are too many additional characters and too many subplots. It's taking away from the main mystery which I thought was supposed to be the scientists. I watched the previous seasons over the last few months so they are still fresh in my memory (kind of). S1 and S3 had "subplots" about their personal lives but those were more of supporting storylines for lack of a better term and I think they helped with the character development, etc. Even S2 (which I didn't think was that great of a season) had more main characters and subplots (VV and his baby making drama, the cop who was gay, CF and his wife/son issues, etc), solving the crime was always the focal point in every single episode. S5 between figuring out the scientists, we also have to deal with Navarro's sister, Danvers' daughter, the freshmen cop and his wife kicking him out, freshmen cop's dad and his loneliness who is also helping some shady corporation, the protests, the swirly symbol, Navarro's and Danvers past case of killing the guy, the tongue, Navarro and Rose seeing dead people, the night country stuff... It's just too much!
  8. My brain apparently isn't firing on all cylinders because I just can't keep up with what is going on. Half the time I forget about the scientists, or the tongue, or the swirly symbol, or who the heroin addict is, or why there are so many dead babies, etc. Is it just me, or is this season just all over the board? I thought about rewatching the previous episodes, but meh. If someone wants to give a quick summary of what is happening, I would greatly appreciate it!
  9. This episode was horrible. Hopefully, this is the last season.
  10. I’m confused! I know Liz, Navarro, Navarro’s boyfriend and the freshman cop, but once other characters pop up, I don’t know who they are or why they’re important. Maybe I need to rewatch all 4 eps. I think there is way too much personal drama interfering with the mystery. I do like the supernatural aspect but I hope it’s not so over the top that it makes it unbelievable.
  11. I was wondering that too. I hope so. The Wheatley nemesis was so over the top and ridiculous! I won't watch anymore if they're going to return to that dumpster fire!
  12. I agree with the other posts regarding Mary. She's growing up in a completely different generation and the writers missed so many opportunities to give her great storylines. Instead, we get the same weekly dose of Darlene complaining, everyone being broke, etc. At this point, I'm just hate watching this show and I know I can't be the only one.

    S05.E10: Bisquick

I thought this season was good. Definitely not as awesome as seasons 1 & 2., but way better than season 3 - that was pure garbage. I bailed on s4 after the first episode. I’m probably in the minority, but I could have done without most of Munch’s crazy talk and rituals. He was too over the top. Also, Indira”s husband could have been eliminated completely.
  14. I don’t think that was a hallucination; I think it was flashback to her military service.
  15. I’m new to True Detective. Just finished watching the previous 3 seasons within the last month. I loved S1 and S3! S2 was good, but it seemed like a completely different show. I’m hoping this season is more in line with 1 & 3. Jodie Foster is excellent as always! Not sure what her relationship is to all of the other characters she seems to know so I’m a bit confused. I don’t mind the sci-fi/mystical aspect as long as it’s not too over the top. The one thing I dislike is the darkness. I understand it’s has to be dark since it’s Alaska, etc, but it’s too dark and it’s difficult to see what’s going on at times.
  16. What happened to stolen Jericho? I thought Sean said his family a few states over were looking for him so I thought he was still in the house. Did Leanne put him in the tunnel and he burned too? Dorothy was basically paralyzed a few episodes back, but now she’s able to limp down the street and climb a ladder and walk across a roof during the storm of the century? I think the show moved way too slow and it could have been condensed down. There were way too many “filler” episodes and a lot of unnecessary scenes and characters that added nothing to the overall plot. I could have done without: most of the aunt and uncle drama in S2, Sean’s pastor storyline, all the scenes with the news reporter who was shot, the homeless kids and them becoming Leanne’s disciples, the bed bug chaos and all the parties Sean and Dorothy hosted. If every episode was paced like the last 3 of the series, it would have been a lot more intriguing and suspenseful, IMO.
  17. I just watched the first season over the last week. I think I need to rewatch it because I am completely confused and feel like a missed so many details. I need some Cliff Notes for this show! 😄 What's the deal with Petey? I get that they made a plan to do the Overtime Contingency. Keir Egan is Helly's dad? I don't know why I thought he was dead? Is he the board? Harmony got fired so why does she care if the people know they are severed? If anything, I would think she would be on their side now. Why does Irving have all those newspaper clippings, employee lists, etc? It looks like he was trying to expose Lumon before he was severed. All this stuff is at his house, but he doesn't know to look at until he's not severed? I get that Ms. Casey is Mark's wife who he thought was dead and doesn't know she is his wife. That part is really the only thing I understand about this entire series. 🙃
  18. I thought it was a pretty good series. Definitely had to suspend belief in a lot of the situations, but all in all, it was entertaining. I wasn't expecting the ex wife twist. I fell for the red herring of Jo's wife being kidnapped, not a flashback of Wier's ex wife. Obviously, the person on the other end of the earpiece in Crawley's ear is the villan for season 2. Hope they bring Kyle back. I can do without Jo's daughter and her BS. Also, I don't mind the flashbacks intertwined with the present day, but I can do without Weir's fantasy scenarios. Biggest complaint of the series is NO ONE except for the kid at the electronics store recognized Weir. The dude is plastered all over the news and I'm assuming social media, but no police officers or fbi agents or any people on the street notice him? Also, he's in that high tech vault setting off the sensors, yet there is not one camera in this super secure room capturing him walking outside the lines on purpose or Hailey removing the key from the box? Glad Ed survived...I was getting a bit worried there at the end. He and Kyle were my favorite characters.
  19. This was a total dumpster fire!! The actual story had so much potential to be turned into something awesome since it's creepy in real life, but unfortunately Ryan Muphy ruined it before the 1st episode was over! I can't believe there is going to be a season 2 of this!!
  20. Every episode is worse than the previous! I hate the John List murders were intertwined with this one especially since it happened 20+ years earlier. The real life Watcher story is so intriguing and mysterious and had so much potential to be turned into something great. This series on the otherhand, is 99.999999% fiction and a total dumpster fire! Glad there is only a few eps left.
  21. This episode was awful. I'm assuming Trey killed the bad guy or if Josh did, Trey is going to take the fall for his bro. The stupid storyline of the Allie/ Serena/ Josh triangle will have to drag on so nothing is going to happen to Josh. Although he should be fired immediately for his actions while interigating the guy, he'll probably be put on a short suspension, if that. I don't understand why Allie was chose for the promotion? Max admitted she's inexperienced, etc but she's a hard worker so that makes her qualified? On a super vain note, Marg H looks like she's losing her hair and her hairstyle isn't doing her any favors.
  22. So far, I’ve leaned Jason is very high maintenance! 😂
  23. I stand corrected. I thought it was an internship at a boutique - I didn't hear that it was specifically for a sales position.
  24. THIS! I thought Dee was downright rude to Stacey about what personal choices Stacey made to pay the bills. Nobody with financial privilege (Dee) should shame someone else for how they earn a living. I don't think Stacey needed to defend her choices to an entitled teenager who has no idea how the real world works when it comes to making compromises/sacrifices at a job in order to keep a roof over her head, pay her student loans, etc. Plus, Dee's snide comment about Stacey having the day off because she was wearing her hair natural, was completely uncalled for. I think Dee's story had so much potential, unfortunately it was so poorly written! Braids or not, I thought it was quite arrogant of Dee to complain about working in the backroom. She has no experience and most businesses have unexperienced employees start in the back and move up. I don't understand how she would think she would be put out on the floor her first day not knowing anything about the merchandise, inventory, etc.
  25. I was wondering that too especially since THEY were the ones that went looking into the disturbance after hearing something in the alley. I was bothered by the fact that neither one of them had their gun out while investigating! Chen and Bradford did the same thing - Bradford finally put his hand on his holster when they heard a noise from the hallway. I'm not a cop, but I would think having your weapon drawn would be Police 101 when you're looking for bad guys. YES!!!! Or at least their feet! I don't know which fight was more ridiculous - Chen / Bradford against the bad guys on the fire escape or Nolan / Bailey getting their a$$es kicked, and Bailey doesn't have a scratch on her yet Nolan's face is cut up. Since they all knew they were being targeted, I thought it was pretty stupid for all of them to be at the same hospital at the same time (for various reasons) along with one of the suspects. I really thought Lopez was going to fight off the bad guys while in labor just like Nyla did. They were all pretty quick to decipher the riddle which basically told them nothing except it was dialogue from a play. I totally lol'ed when Chen said they checked all the costume shops in S Cal and non of them sold the masks. Does she or the dept not realize people can buy stuff off the internet? Was the nurse who came in to change Aaron's IV bag one of the suspects? I thought it was odd they specifically showed her looking at Celina. I couldn't tell if she matched the woman from the white board photos. If she was, I'm assuming that's why Aaron was coding. As the show continued, I was paying less and less attention. How did they know it was the guy who served time for elder abuse? And who was the guy at the end in the limo boasting about distracting the LAPD (but only the Mid-Wilshire dept?) so he could carry out an even bigger crime? I definitely don't want AI generating scripts, but the writers really need to step it up. Lately, this show has been more misses than hits, IMO.
