  1. The death of the child was more than just an accident. Nicky took the boy on the boat and played around with grenades. I could totally understand Jack wanting nothing to do with Nicky (although I suspect we will get more flashbacks with them when Jack came back to the US). Nonetheless, I am glad Kevin and the others went back to see him. I was tense throughout. Wonderful episode.
  2. I watched 1/2 an episode of the original series, but still checked this one out. I watched the whole episode. I liked that everyone are adults. Not high schoolers. I do see the chemistry in the main couple. I have to say, that last song has me rewatching the final scene over and over again.
  3. The relationship I care most about is Archie and Fred. Even in dreamlike scene, Fred can still ground it for me. I think this is where Archie has an edge for me over the other core characters. Their relationships with their parents are so cartoonish. Cheryl is so annoying. And why is Kevin relegated to nothing? Have his dad become a PI, where Mayor practices law. Get Kevin something to do! I have to say I am finally interested in a Stupid Serpent. That guy whose name I don't care to remember who is going all Alias on Hiram is a good plot move.
  4. I am liking the show more this season than last. I think it is due to the Core Four being very much separate from each other, kinda being forced to interact with the other characters. And I will be forever grateful for less Southside Serpents. I love how terrible the parents are. I do hope Fred never goes that way, even though I wonder if Luke would prefer to play someone less wholesome.
  5. That was a very sweet episode. Santa's explanation was perfect.
  6. I love Sloppy Poppy! The show is now creating some interesting side characters, like the mom with her Will Crush, Mark who everyone likes, and the mom whose husband writes for Gotham (all five seasons!).
  7. I expected the hot singer would perform badly, but the song was sooo bad, it was truly hilarious.
  8. It is such bull that Jason has a chance at 3 scholarships. I don't buy that he could get into any school. I hope that school does not allow him to submit his application. Everything else was bleh.
  9. I am a season behind on Homeland, and my UO is: I hate Quinn. Him beating up women is not funny. His tortured act is old. His Bourne Identity schticks is even more annoying.
  10. Was something that Amy had to go through in terms of insurance at all accurate? It is a comedy, but is there some kernel of truth? At the very least, do the good hospitals in the US have more attractive doctors? I am a single guy and Canadian, so no clue. Besides, wouldn't Amy be used to this already? And where is her daughter? Those babies are adorable.
  11. I was too ticked off that every one was there for Game Night as if nothing took place, and that Eddie had no problem being there, even though he was at the time wanting to keep his marriage intact. HATE!
  12. While The Vampire Diaries fell down in quality, I watched it to the end. I could never stomach The Originals. If Klaus shows up, I am out. I gather he died at the end of that show? I generally like everyone on the show, more or less. Matt!!!!
  13. I will watch, but I am tired of rich people stories.
  14. Since the reboot, the show has one episode per season where I end up tearing up. Even with the sentiment, that "Doesn't that feel good?" was a damn hilarious line.
  15. The boys who played Toby were wonderful. This is one of the reasons the show won SAG for Best cast. I loved the episode.
  16. I hate when they make the characters go mean. I hated what is happening to Jerry and Sandra.
  17. This may become my favourite sitcom since Happy Endings. Even though the subject matter is vastly different, the two shows have a similar vibe.
  18. I don't like that Delilah is getting a free pass from everyone either. It will be a first where I look forward to witnessing the teenaged daughter throwing a fit at her mom. And why aren't Katherine and Regina better friends, anyway? This show is sucking me in, however.
  19. That lottery scene was so impactful to me. Was that scene on the tv screen made up? It seems like the producers lifted it from a real-life broadcast.
  20. Where do people see Lady Gaga as a viable actor? The success of A Star Is Born really gives legitimacy over her entire career. I can see her having a career like Cher. TBH, I am not sure why Cher seemingly gave up on her movie career. As well, I think it legitimizes Bradley Cooper's stature in the industry, even if he didn't really need it. The success of Venom really elevates Tom Hardy's status as a leading man. Will it do anything for Michelle Williams?
  21. This is way better than That Stupid Circle. No love triangles. The women generally like each other. No one true love business. Loved this so much.
  22. I loved this. So much. Everyone is so much fun.
  23. My personal favourite song is Always Remember Us This Way. Such a beautiful ballad, so effortlessly performed. I would like to think Bobby has more of a life than is presented in the movie.
  24. I very much agree with everyone regarding how I am losing sympathy with the whole group. I am totally on Katherine's side. Well, I am not mad at Maggie. Have they even talked to each other? I think Delilah's reaction to her husband's suicide is not particular realistic. It is overshadowed to how This is Us is portraying how a wife is responding to the death of her husband. It comes off shallow here.
  25. This episode was the best of the bunch, and I am totally on Team Grace Park. But I just wonder how she will remain a long term character. She is so isolated from the entire group.
