I've thought about the recasting thing since they have this multiverse thing going on now. Technically they could if they really felt they wanted to tell another CA story or Iron Man or whatnot. My feeling is they have so much going on, why bother. There are so many other characters and stories coming that they don't need to. However, in say 10 years or so, I think it could work.

That would have been nice. My favorite thing was always Steve's friendships. I didn't think Steve and Sharon worked but sometimes things from the comics don't. It would have been nice to see that acknowledged and for them to move on as friends. It's not that I even have a problem with Steve still pining for Peggy. He clearly felt a powerful connection with her. I would just have loved to see a Steve that would look at her life and want to emulate it since he respected her so much. She moved on, she formed something she thought would do good.

Yep. I was so mad when I saw Civil War I wouldn't watch it again for a few years. Instead of making the Cap and Bucky story they had been telling in two previous movies this one became all about Tony and his pain. Which is fine and I don't begrudge him. It just needed to be a movie called Civil War. I will forever feel cheated out of the powerful story of Steve and Bucky and the friendship of a century. Because it's not like they bothered with it after this movie. BOO K.E.V.I.N.

S12.E11: The Great Christmas Bake Off
festivus replied to Athena's topic in The Great British Bake Off
I don't know this show or these actors except I knew Shaun looked familiar. Misfits is where I know him from. Anyway, this was fun. All the pies looked scrummy. I would throw Lydia's back in for 15 minutes but then I would eat them all. I think the yule logs would have gone better without the stupid stockings. That just ruined the look. The Christmas trees were actually kind of cute and what I would expect from inexperienced bakers. Nathaniel is also really cute and now I want to watch this show. -
They really need to get back to yummy bakes. This kind of crap reminds me of something off the Food Network and there's a reason why I don't watch that shit. I don't like failure showstoppers and like has been said, judging which one is the least bad. Congrats to Syabira. She was my fave and I would want to try most of the stuff she made. She's also adorable.

Well I'm glad to see pretty much everyone was annoyed by the PB&J thing. I was screaming at my TV, it's a PB&J for fuck's sake! But see this is where Syabira is a genius. She's watched this show. You go girl. I am rooting for her. She's been my fave since the first ep.

Yeah, that bothered me. Just a mention that he's out of the country on so and so business would have been enough.

As good as John Hurt was I agree. McGann could have definitely pulled off the war weary Doctor. I know I can listen to the radio plays but I just want more of him on my screen. I love that dude.

I checked out of Chibnall's run a while ago but of course I had to watch the 60th. The regeneration was well done, that was a lovely shot of 13 outside the TARDIS with energy flowing every which way. Really beautiful. I see Chibs is still jam packing it full of no sense making. I'm glad he's done and please don't let him write anymore episodes either. Amen. As nice as it is to see David Tennant, when is Paul McGann going to get his due? This would have been the perfect time to do some specials with him. Grrrr. Oh well at least I'm excited about Who again and I'm looking forward to Ncuti's run. Oh and I quite liked the Master. That dude was off his chain and I'm here for it.

I think it's funny that the show started out as a "we're gonna update this 90s comedy" type of show but in the end it's the same goofy show just updated with cuss words and nudity. Very clever and for someone who really doesn't care much for the goofy type shows of the 80s and early 90s, I really enjoyed this. The cast is superb. Paul Reiser is a comic genius and I enjoyed seeing Rachel Bloom again. I really love them all but the standout for me was Rose Abdoo as Selma. It takes me a while to start remembering character names so I was already calling her Selma in my head and then I came here and cackled when I saw it actually was the character's name. Brilliant. The writer's room stuff was my absolute fave thing in the show.

FilmNight: Movies you watched recently

Yeah, I'm not going to theater, my friend has Peacock so we're gonna watch it this Saturday. She did see it at the theater and she's very grumpy about it, lol. I told her I have to see it anyway. -
Heart Eyes: Actors, Characters, And TV Personalities You Love

Eleven could act really weird about River and was strange about the marriage but I think they did have chemistry even with his twitchy-ness. At least there was a poignant moment between the two with "I can always see you" which I admit did make my heart flutter a bit . But I agree that River really sparked with Twelve. I loved The Husbands of River Song and would so happily have had more of her and Twelve. I think I did cry at the end of that episode. -

I finally got to the Fear Street trilogy on Netflix this year. Despite not remembering these books existed (I used to read Christopher Pike) I thought these were some tight little thrillers. Good storyline and acting in each. I did not guess all of the twists since I knew nothing of the books so I thought that was well done. I also finally saw Halloween Kills. Yeah, I know but I wasn't going to the theater during the pandemic. I have been informed that I shouldn't bother seeing the last one but I have to see it through. No spoilers please! lol. I said this year that I'd watch more horror movies but once again I find myself running out of time. I still need to get in my annual watching of the 80's Trick or Treat and I also have Studio 666 on deck. October just ends up being such a busy time for me every year. -
I don't know Mary Janes but they look barfy. Like close to the same as the orange and black candies from hell.

Heart Eyes: Actors, Characters, And TV Personalities You Love

I remember liking Elizabeth a lot and then they ruined her by making her jealous over Mark's daughter. I think she was over that when he died and took her in or something, but I have a really bad memory so I could be off about that. I only watched ER in the original run and that was a long time ago. Anyway, I'm only using this post to say that was when my love for Alex Kingston began. I'm always excited when she pops up in something I watch. I LOVE her as River in Doctor Who. Some people say she was a Mary Sue (I hear that as blah blah blah) some say Steven Moffat can't write women (okay, I can agree with that one). No matter though, she has so much charm and charisma that she can overcome any of that. -
My favorite was 3 Musketeers or Milky Way. They are nowhere near my favorite candy bar but for some reason they tasted so much better in the mini size. That was my least favorite too. Luckily my mom LOVED them so I just gave them all to her. She was thrilled.

What was your favorite candy to receive as a child? What was your least favorite AKA what did you pawn off on your mom or grandma or whoever.

I LOVE it when Jen talks to the camera. "Who's this asshole?" LOL. I don't think there's anyone else that could pull it off like Tatiana Maslany except maybe Robert Downey Jr. When she was like, y'all are feeling this too right? I was like we damn sure are. I think Charlie Cox has chemistry with everyone except Karen. That was some anti-chemistry and it gave me the creeps. I loved him being lighter here, I don't think he smiled this much in all three seasons of his show. I ship it. His "walk of shame" was the best. Man, when those incels called her a slut, I was seeing green. I'm gonna be pissed if she's supposed to feel some kind of shame for getting so angry. I've got faith that this show is better than that. It took me a minute to get into the suit but then I remembered how much I loved my one piece gym suit when I was in Jr. high. There are so many pictures of me at home wearing that thing. Yes I was a weirdo but it was comfy!

Who, What, When, Where?!: Miscellaneous Celebrity News 2.0
festivus replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Everything Else TV
Yeah, that's what I was thinking about. I never really have trouble watching that movie because I love it. I do feel sadness though thinking of what could have been for Brandon. I probably won't see the Rust movie but that's only because I'm not really interested in the subject. I do think it should be put out though, it's up to each individual to decide if they want to see it or not. -

Same for me. It upset me so much that I never did finish that show but I think I probably could now. It's just all a personal thing. Like how you can watch some things with a bad person and other things you just can't get past it. I'll sadly never be able to watch The Cosby Show again because of the "America's dad" thing whereas I can watch Kevin Spacey being a bad guy in Baby Driver. -
Okay, I'm not a fan of Twizzlers in any color, but when those black jelly beans come out at Easter I load the Target cart down. Yum yum. That was the best day ever when they started making whole bags of the black ones cause me & my dad used to fight each other to get them from the rest of the lame flavors in the bag.
